Gary Thomas - Weddings

Introduction: I administer weddings in Colorado. My name is Gary Thomas and I am an ordained minister living and celebrating life in Denver, Colorado. As an independent minister, I am not associated with any particular church. I have expanded my personal ministry to reach out to people of all faiths and beliefs. My present ministerial roles include the celebration of weddings, special anniversaries and many other events that touch the lives of all God's people. My Beliefs I believe a wedding ceremony is a significant event in the lives of two people to celebrate their love, unity, harmony and the beginning of a new life together. I believe that the wedding day is uniquely yours and that wedding ceremonies should reflect only YOUR religious or non-religious preferences, not mine. I believe that the ceremonial experience should NOT be one based on religious dogma, but should be spiritual, based in truth, uplifting, empowering and FUN. I believe that the wedding ceremony experience should guide you into a lifetime of love, peace, happiness and joy with your spiritual mate! I am more than happy to speak with you about your options in this area and to provide services which will reflect the traditions and customs in which you were raised. It's the love that you and your future spouse have for one another that makes the magic and beauty of the wedding. I'm there to help guide you through it all. I combine humor with reverence, which makes the ceremony, the start of the celebration that is your wedding day. Please know that I am here to support you and your future spouse to ensure that your celebration is what you want, and that it reflects your personality and a fitting tribute to the love you feel for one another. I’m open to country western and field service which reflects your personal desires and traditions. It will be important for us to meet together before the service to plan your celebration, and to make sure that I am aware of any special needs or desires you might have. Sometimes more than one meeting is necessary. When we meet we will discuss the music for your service, size of the wedding party, set up and special physical needs, your vows and the ceremony in general. Not all weddings require a rehearsal. However, I am happy to assist with this if requested. If the celebration will involve a large wedding party, it is a good idea to have some kind of rehearsal or meeting with the whole wedding party before the service. I always arrive for the service no less than one hour before the service begins in order to make sure that there are no last minute problems or changes. It is the responsibility of the bride and groom to attain a legal license from the State of Colorado. It is important that this be brought on the day of the wedding so that I can complete the form and it may be returned to the county from which it was issued.
