I have been working with Nico, getting beginning instruction in kettlebell lifting. I am a Rehabilitation Medicine physician, understand exercise physiology, and am a critical client, even as a novice. Nico has an instinctive understanding of my level of conditioning, and has seemed to automatically provide me with a perfectly challenging introduction to kettlebells. What is most impressive is that Nico has also written an excellent, very informative, no BS book on kettlebells, and he's worked with top level athletes and law enforcement personnel. He can work effectively with both "bullet-proof" clients, and also those of us who aren't as tough as we used to think we were. Nico listens, he thinks, he knows his coaching inside and out, and he has a good sense of humor. What else is there? I have no hesitation recommending Nico to both friends and patients.

Nico is way more than a personal trainer - he is a true coach. He doesn't just get you to exercise, he makes sure you learn the proper techniques for the exercises that you do so that you can continue to improve. He's changed my entire approach to fitness and training - I've lost 60 pounds, I'm stronger than I was in college, and I'm continuing to improve.

I started working with Nico to build strength for rugby. We have worked on basics of Olympic weightlifting and running mechanics for about a month. I was particularly impressed on Nico's willingness to work around my schedule, which can be hectic. He is also quite motivational. I am already seeing results and definitely plan to continue working out with Nico.

I have been training with Nico for over a year and I'm in the best shape of my life. His methods for strength and conditioning are varied and fun, and are customized to meet your goals. His training program is a full body workout that produces great results.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Personalized programming with semiprivate coaching: This plan has greater scheduling flexibility and is more affordable than privates. Monthly Plan with unlimited sessions. $300 (12 month plan) $400 (6 month plan) $500 month to month Private hourly sessions (55 minutes session) These sessions cost more but the client receives my undivided attention during the session. The larger investment usually results in better accountability from the client. Hourly Rate: $150 (when purchasing one session at a time) Monthly plan 4 sessions a month (once a week): $400 (12 months contract) Monthly plan 8 sessions a month (twice a week): $700 (12 months contract) Monthly plan 12 sessions a month (three times a week): $960 (12 months contract)

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I've been an athlete all my life and started in the world of fitness as a child. My first sport was swimming. I can't remember how young I was when I swam my first lap in the pool but I had been swimming in rivers since a very early age. I became a full time athlete training with a team as a teenager. I competed in fencing for a few years in my early twenties and after I started strength training which I still practice.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I help clients with their weight loss, muscle toning and building, strength training, and nutrition. Strength development is something I put great emphasis on, which helps improving both figure, health and overall wellbeing.
