It has been so helpful to have Michael preparing meals for us. As a busy working mom, I grateful to have healthy, home cooked meals for my family. Michael has been great too in accomdating my husband's gluten-free requirements.

The entire experience was enjoyable. The planning session left me very excited about the upcoming event and the event itself went over without any hitches. The chef was welcoming about dietary restrictions- he went above and beyond even to ensure that all options could be gluten free. At the party, guests were impressed that all options were gluten free AND tasty-people who eat gluten free know that's hard to come by. The display was gorgeous and the desserts were so delicious.

Laura did an outstanding job with our dinner party for 12 women in my home. She carefully planned a vegetarian and gluten free delicious meal, and she even cleaned up the kitchen afterwards! Thanks so much for a terrific evening, Appetite Alley!

I have nothing but the highest praise for Carol and her cooking! She has been preparing meals for my grandmother for over a year, and the benefit to her has been enormous -- has allowed her to maintain her independent lifestyle (at 96!), and the gluten-free whole foods diet that Carol provides has had a positive impact on her digestion and overall health. Carol tailors her meals to my grandmother's tastes and numerous dietary restrictions, and always has something new and creative to offer. She goes above and beyond with her kindness and caring -- making sure my Grandmother is stocked on essentials and fresh produce, and communicating back to me any and all concerns regarding my grandmother's diet and health. Carol is quite literally a lifesaver!

Spencer has catered 2 parties in our home. One a smaller meal for 12, and then a party for 50. He is super easy to work with, had great ideas for menu planning and dishes and the food was fabulous. Plus we had some gluten and dairy restrictions and he was able to easily accommodate that. We got so many compliments. We consider him now our default caterer and will call him for any future events.

How much do private cooking lessons cost?

You can take private cooking classes to have fun, to learn a new skill, to improve your health, to bond with your partner, to enjoy a playful first date or to have a unique birthday party experience. Nationally the average cost of private cooking lessons ranges between $100 and $150. Prices can vary, depending on where you live, the type of cooking class you’re taking, the ingredients the chef provides, and the reputation of the chef. Cooking classes with Anthony Bourdain will clearly cost more than classes with a local restaurant owner. The number of people in the class will also affect the cost, with group lessons often priced per person to account for the cost of ingredients. For example, for group lessons, a brunch workshop may cost an average of $70 per person, a steak dinner with sides could cost an average of $80-$85 per person, and a sushi lesson could cost an average of $100 per person. Ingredients play a major role in cost, as the chef will pre-purchase the food you will be working with. Weekday classes will usually cost less than weekend classes.
