Hiring a personal trainer was not an easy step for me to take, because what I had seen of personal trainers and at big gyms was a big turn-off. What set him apart initially was that he offered a ‘no gimmicks, no pressure’ approach, was a (or soon to be a) registered dietician, offered additional services as a personal chef, and could do workouts either at his location or mine. When I started, I was in a hectic transition period with my job and so my schedule was unpredictable. Mike completely understood, and worked with me to schedule workout sessions in a very no-pressure way. During workouts, he pays attention (to safety, to how I am feeling and handling it…), and makes adjustments as needed based on the individual person. He started me on a level I could handle and we are building from there. The workouts are interesting and varied, which makes them fun (imagine that!), and I appreciate his positive reinforcement and encouragement, as it pushes me in a positive way to do the best I can. Based on my experience so far, I can say that Mike cares very much about the progress of his students and goes the extra mile to help them reach their goals. In the short amount of time I have been working with him, I have lost 17 pounds (more to go) and I am becoming stronger. As a result am gaining confidence and setting new goals which I am excited to reach! I would definitely recommend Mike and Start Fresh Fitness.
Best Personal Trainer in Colorado I started working out with Justin in January. I was pretty lean when I began working out with him, but still lost 15 pounds in 3 months while increasing my strength on bench press, squat, and power clean. Justin comes up with fun and creative workout routines, which makes each session an enjoyable experience rather than a chore. He is very motivational and has incredible knowledge when it comes to fitness whether it’s fat loss, muscle/strength gain, injury prevention, Justin knows it all. If you live around Fort Collins I highly recommend you hire him as your personal trainer. Even if you have been working out on your own with good results I still recommend hiring him, because working out with him will give you quick results that you may have thought were unreachable. Worth every single penny!
Had a GREAT experience with Obstacle Destruction. Chad Johnson was so easy to work with and my trainer Evan was awesome. Evan created workouts that were tough and hard but not over the top. He is patient but also requires that you show up with the attitude to get the most out of the session. I had so much fun and had a serious workout every time. 10 sessions in and I am hooked. I'll be signing up for another round ofr personal training!
I've worked with a few personal trainers during my life and her professional manner as well as coaching style is just what we needed. I look forward to continuing to work with her, and despite the muscle soreness after our sessions gym time is one of the things I like forward to every week.
Josh is a terrific personal trainer. A lot of trainers and gyms lack that key word "personal," however that isn't Josh. He is focused, professional, dedicated and U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. Manny is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with the joint issues that I am having. He is very good with corrective exercises, as I have a lot of past injuries that I am dealing with. I am also seeing a significant difference in muscle gain in the areas that I am working on the most. Hands down the best trainer I have ever had. I was a little sceptic with working with a trainer online, but now I feel it is the best thing for me and couldn't have made a better decision to chose Manny.
Adam Poehlmann is a great personal trainer who takes the time to get to know his clients needs and goals. He has worked closely with my physical therapist to modify my workout's while still keeping my goal in mind. He is readily available to answer questions and give encouragement. These are not cookie cutter workouts that he gives to his clients. He takes personal pride in each workout program he develops. George MacIlwinen is a compassionate, caring and highly skilled therapist with extraordinary insights into ways to improve his clients self-awareness and interpersonal skills. George is clearly well trained, but his approach is not sterile or clinical in the sense of rehearsed or stale responses. Instead, he is an excellent listener and observer who develops his comments and observations patently, delivering his insights carefully and without causing his clients to react defensively. As with the best in his profession, he leads others to see a path rather than passively listening without direction or becoming too assertive or controlling. I set this appointment up for my son. We'd been in a Motor Vehicle Accident on 10/05/13. He had major injuries and has been working to recover. My son said that Hashem was so patient. Since he was not in very good shape, Hashem listened and made suggestions to slow down and structured the routine around his injuries to slowly building him up to his potential. My son said no other trainer - he's used had helped him in the way that Hashem has. Very happy for Hashem's patience, structure, encouragement and persistence to help my son achieve his potential.
