Awesome job! Will use him as our regular piano tuner.
Danny is an honest, capable piano tuner. Today I watched him take apart the innards of our family piano to solve a mystery related to a key that was concerning me greatly. Although this task was not related to tuning the piano, he pursued the answer, found it (a long, green pencil) and solved the problem. On top of this initial adventure (which Danny was not obligated to take on), he diligently worked through all the keys of our piano. Our piano is old, dusty, and had not been tuned for a long time. Nevertheless, he cheerfully blew the dust out and coaxed the most beautiful sounds I've heard out of that piano in a long time. He was honest with me about what he could/could not do, and I found that what he could do was quite sufficient. Therefore, for his efforts to do his best, his cheerfulness, and his knowledge and love of music, I recommend this piano tuner.
This was a very pleasant experience. My piano tuner showed up on time and in spite of the fact that the piano hasn't been tuned in forty years, he has made it playable again. Thank you Thumbtack!
I have hired Ryan twice to tune my rustic piano. His work was punctual, thorough, efficient, and instructive. He has identified my piano's mechanical problems and has explained which ones are worth repairing and which are not. He is not just a piano tuner, but one who knows the instrument inside and out. I will definitely hire him again.
On time, professional, and now my piano sounds great!
Not done yet. Communications very good.
David was wonderful! Prompt, thorough, friendly service. He is very knowledgeable and an excellent piano player as well. So glad to have my piano sounding like new again! We will use him again! Thanks, David!
I offer piano tuning, regulating, reconditioning, rebuilding, appraisals, concert and recording preparation for home, businesses, schools, music festivals, music camps and concert venues. I am a registered technician, a member of Piano Technicians Guild and have been in business since 1979.
As a piano technician, I can tune, regulate, voice your piano, and make needed repairs. Individual situations will vary, but during a tuning appointment, I will generally perform the following: Assess the condition of your piano Ask about any concerns with the instruments condition or operation Recommend any adjustments or repairs that may be required before tuning Tune each of the strings to the proper pitch standard Recommend possible future work based on the condition of your piano The actual tuning may take around two hours, but might be longer depending on how out of tune the piano is, its general condition, and the environment where it is located. I also track when your piano was last tuned, and remind you, based on the pianos situation and use, of when your next tuning is needed. By having me see your piano on a regular basis, I can help you avoid situations that may result in unnecessary expenses.
