Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Our studio is called JRT Fit. We start everyone with a Muscle Imbalance Assessment, which looks at every strength / weakness, muscle balance / imbalance, postural alignment, core and balance. Please understand that this is completely unique in the entire field created by a subject matter expert and fellow with the NBFE, Sean Johnson; founder of JRT Fit. Most trainers conduct an assessment that only includes weight, body fat analysis, postural analysis, strength, and sometimes flexibility. Here, we don't do body fat, don't put you on the scale, and don't believe that just looking at you standing there does much good. Instead we look at 100 points of data during six specifically chosen exercises in order to figure out your overactive and underactive muscles. Watch some of our videos from actual clients with the results they get due to our ability to actually customize everything. Check out JRTFit.com for more details.

Personal Training

I've been training with a fantastic group of ladies for almost 2 months. Sean keeps us laughing as he pushes us harder through each workout. I feel so much stronger and my painful knee is getting better everyday.

Sean Johnson has been amazing to work with! I am three weeks into my training sessions and I could not be more pleased. His style and approach are second to none, he has helped me with diet and strength training as well as establishing a cardio workout plan. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, punctual, and fun to work with. I would recommend him very highly to anyone serious about accomplishing fitness goals and making healthy lifestyle changes!

Sean is very professional and knowledgeable in the areas of personal training and nutrition. Being overweight and out of shape, Sean assessed my fitness level and designed a plan specific to my needs. He has helped me learn to exercise correctly and effectively, as well as providing input on diet and nutrition. I am on the path to better health, and I thank Sean for his part in that. This past week I was able to ride a bike for the first time in 24 years and it was absolutely amazing!! Sean also is very punctual and is available at times that are convenient for my schedule.

Sean is a consummate professional in the health fitness industry. His knowledge and expertise are simply unparalleled. I hired Sean as a personal trainer and over the year I worked with him he helped me increase my knowledge base from proper lifting techniques to strategies in managing eating habits and pitfalls. He educated me on the traps that exist in trying to eat healthy versus dieting and the tricks that food labels can play in their descriptions of "healthy" food. While I trained with him, my muscle gain and lifting capability significantly increased. Having a pre-existing knee injury, Sean was very careful to teach me the proper techniques to exercise safely for the rest of my life. I cannot emphasize enough how much I learned with Sean and I know anyone would benefit from training with him for any period of time.

I am so glad I found Sean at JRT fit!! I appreciate all the dedication and support that Sean gives me throughout the sessions. He has given me so much more knowledge and confidence about working out that I never had before. He has also helped me realize the importance of proper form and how improper form can align with injury- and no one wants injury!! I have actually had people start to notice the difference in the work that has been done, I mean, I've been complimented on my arms. I have NEVER been complimented on my arms! I'm looking forward to the further progress I'm going to achieve here at JRT fit and thank you again Sean for all you have done.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Everyone starts with an industry unique 1.5-2 hour muscle imbalance assessment. Visit jrtfit.com to schedule directly. We are offering this unique-to-the-industry assessment for only $191. From there we charge by the hour (sessions are typically one hour), within the range of $60-$69 depending on your weekly commitment for one-on-one sessions and which trainer you choose to work with ($100 per hour with Sean). Sessions can be rescheduled (rather than forfeited) in the case of vacations or personal / family emergencies. All training may be paid for monthly or weekly ahead of time. Absolutely no hidden fees.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We always start with your Muscle Imbalance Assessment... our scientific assessment completely unique in the industry which tests; Muscle Imbalances Skeletal Alignments During Movements Age-Based Strength Core Strength / Balance Muscle Imbalances Your body will show us different movement patterns based on how balanced or imbalanced your body is. Each muscle imbalance causes certain muscles to over work while others are not working enough. These have been shown in research to lead to overuse injuries of the muscles, tendonitis, and even ligament injuries when severe. Skeletal Alignments During Movements It's one thing to look at someone's standing posture, and quite another to look at all postural alignments during movements. An extra forward lean during a squat can cause unwanted stress on your back during the movement, but will also cause even more harm later. It shows us that you have tight hip flexors, which if not corrected will tilt the pelvis up in the front (posterior pelvic tilt) leading to more stress on your lower back while sitting in a chair. Does your back hurt while sitting at work? We can fix that! Age-Based Strength We understand that your strength should be different at 60 than it was at 20. We also understand that strength has more to do with functionality rather than how much you can lift for one rep. Certain measurements of strength are key to preventing injuries, or even helping you overcome previous ones with less day-to-day pain. Want to find out whether your strength scores will help prevent or lead to injuries? We can help you improve them either way! Core Strength / Balance Most people have heard nowadays that core is the most important factor in keeping your back happy, but did you know that it also directly effects your balance? Slipping on ice is inevitable in Colorado, but when your core is strong enough you may not end up falling after a slip! Our core tests are one-of-a-kind in the industry, and will tell us if your core is strong enough to fight degenerative disc disease, prevent sciatica, or even help a football player better fight off a tackler. Your Data Taking all of your data helps us figure out the exercises that will harm you as well as the ones you absolutely need to do. We will work on your specific limitations to ensure that you progress based on your body, your goals, and your abilities. Your body will thank you!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Sean, founder and head trainer has 8 national certifications with numerous specializations, and a fellowship with the National Board of Fitness Examiners. He has over 20 years of experience getting people safe and effective results. It is required by the field to get CECs every two years, but I encourage even more to maintain my trainer’s J-Range Trainer certification. All J-Range Trainers are highly certified, and are expected to have an incredible knowledge in exercise physiology.
