FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My quote is exactly what I charge. However, sometimes fees depend on special situations: whether I am needed at the rehearsal, the number and frequency of meetings before the wedding, whether we are doing ongoing premarital counseling, driving distance, etc. We discuss the possibility of any additional fees (but this is usually $0) when we discuss details of your wedding. * Fees do not include special situations such as out-of-town weddings, travel or overnight expenses.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually meet with the couple in person to talk about what they want. We establish whether they'd like me to do just the rehearsal and wedding or whether they also would like to do premarital counseling. We look at schedules and begin to plan meetings or other times to discuss pertinent details.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In doing counseling and weddings, I believe the best continuing education is experience. As mentioned, I've now done over 100 weddings and in each one I learn something new. While I thought I'd never hear of a new or novel idea to incorporate during ceremonies, I hear them all the time!
