My teaching philosophy is that everyone can learn music. I started out being self-taught when I was 9. Since then, I have learned music from many great teachers such as Carmen Carrozza, a world renowned classical accordion performer and pianist; as well as countless other private teachers and professors. I use a mixture of their teaching to create my teaching style. My business stands out for my many years of experience and the opportunities I have been given over my career. I have played in touring rock bands with record producers, punk bands, gypsy jazz groups, jazz quartets, trios, and duos. I have performed for weddings, steady jazz piano gigs at waterclubs and restaurants in NY/Connecticut/Denver. I have played holiday parties in people's homes such as Christmas parties, birthday parties, and various other events. I have performed on PBS Specials, composed for films, and recently composed music that will be aired on CPR. I played the organ for the Colorado Avalanche for 7 years including 2022 Stanley cup games. I have a music composition degree from SUNY Purchase, a music education degree from Metropolitan State University, and a masters in education from Concordia University. I have completed 2 levels of Orff training and I will be certified next summer. I have been teaching private music lessons for 26 years and I have taught in public schools in Colorado for 4 years. Currently accompanying for a community college theater class in Blue Bell Pennsylvania.See more
