Thanks to Billy my 13 year old has been re inspired!! She has been singing for 8 years and was close to giving it up. She now looks forward to her lessons. My 10 year old, who lives to sing has reached new levels in her vocal training and is seeing progress with each lesson. She has also started piano with katelyn and cannot wait to be able to play independently. Love the new studio and the loving, encouraging vibe there.

Matthew is very professional musician. He took a lot of time to assist me preparing a very special song list for my husband's birthday dinner party. My family really enjoyed themselves especially because of his soulful sounds from playing the saxophone. He was mesmerizing. And, we're going to invite him back in the near future. Thanks, Matthew!

Barb's Continuo Home Music Lessons provided home lessons to my son. Not only was the instructor very talented, but they knew exactly how to interact with a young person to keep his interest throughout the lesson and encouraged practicing beyond the lesson. Barb is always prompt and goes out of her way to accomodate scheduling issues.

I have enjoyed my experience with Daniel! He has been very flexible with my busy schedule, and was helpful with clarifying my goals for taking lessons. His studio is conveniently located in Manhattan and provides a bright, welcoming atmosphere for learning. I plan to continue my lessons with him for the foreseeable future, and certainly recommend his teaching to music learners of all levels!

Francesco is absolutely great! Besides being one of the best saxophone players I've ever heard, he's a very good teacher. He gave me many good tips for the saxophone technique and for improvisation, he's nice, patient, and he really motivated me to practice. His knowledge of music is very large, so I would recommend him to other students of any level and for any type of music.

Jon is an AWESOME teacher!!! I can't believe how fast I am improving since starting lessons about 6 months ago. I got to a page in my book that I got stuck on with my old teacher. It took Jon 5 minutes to see what I was doing wrong, told me and then I could do it instantly! John is a really cool Australian who is always really nice and funny but he also holds me to high standards. I started saxophone two years ago for my middle school big band coz they needed anyone to fill the chair but now I practice every day or most of them anyway because I like it and want to be good for Jon. Jon is the man!

Jared impressed me with his abilities with the clarinet. His sound is clear, beautiful and powerful. He definitely knows and understands music and the instrument. Jared worked with my technics, making a huge improvement on my sound in short time. He is able to work with any level of knowledge, from basic to advance, and accommodates the particular needs for making the learning process a great experience.

Mr. Blackwell is an awesome teacher, and very gifted. My daughter looks forward to her weekly lessons. In a short few months of lessons you can hear the difference (control) in her voice. You will not be disappointed in the services of Blackwell's School of Music and Film.

I believe in honesty and integrity. I believe in giving 100%.

My instruction is tailor made depending on the student I am teaching. I wish to provide all the knowledge necessary in learning how to play the saxophone or improvise, but I craft my lessons in a way that suits a student's way of learning and interests.
