We would give Juste Hors D'Oeuvres 10+ stars if we could for the fantastic partnership and catering they provided on both our joyous day and the planning leading up to our wedding event. Right from the beginning of our contact with Marylyn, when we were still deciding on our caterer, she was friendly, very responsive and had some great suggestions. She took the time to really listen and understand what we were envisioning for our wedding, a theme that was fairly involved and complex, what budget we had allocated for the catering and what our expectation was for the menu. Her suggestions were insightful and respectful of all those factors and she was able to work within our budget, in fact she was able to provide some excellent ideas that enhanced our theme while saving us thousands in cost and not lowering the quality of our admittedly high end reception. Over the months of menu planning, tasting, staffing logistics, venue requirements, insurance requirements etc. etc. etc. Marylyn went from a caterer we hired to a beloved trusted advisor and friend. Every tweak we made to our plans, every idea we had on how to make our event even more spectacular for our guests, Marylyn helped us to realize realistically based on her thoughtful experience. At the tasting we first met Neal, her partner in Juste Hors D'Oeuvres. He is as warm and friendly as Marylyn and they work well together in the artistry of their food. (More on that later!) Our reception was in Chelsea in August on THE hottest day of the year (The temp was 105 on the penthouse rooftop @ 4:30pm) and this forced a major last minute shift in plans on the day of as we had to change having the cocktail hour for our 150+ guests, the bar and the band from outside the rooftop to inside in the upper penthouse. As we were doing a 2 floor event this could have easily gone wrong in so many ways, but Marylyn and her staff took it in stride, calmly helped to figure it out and executed on the change flawlessly. (Btw, her staff is excellent, think well on their feet, and are both friendly and professional. A large amount of our guests specifically mentioned to us how good they thought the staff was!). The shift went so well that none of our guests ever realized that it wasn’t originally planned that way. The passed appetizers that Neal and Marylyn prepared for our guests during the cocktail hour were incredible. People are still raving about them up to now, a month later! The Applewood bacon wrapped stuffed Majool dates were especially mind blowing as was the cauliflower & cumin fritters and all the other appetizers, and their flatbreads are divine! The main reception in the lower penthouse was expertly catered - Neal and Marylyn ensured that all the food was exceptionally executed, cooked to the perfect state (e.g., Tenderloin a perfect medium rare as we requested) and everything was served with a visual flare that matched our décor theme. Her staff continued to be on point throughout the extended night (our event went past midnight) and helped to take care of whatever mini-crisis popped up with minimal direction (e.g., we needed another 450 lbs. ice delivery in the first 2 hours of the event because of the heat melting the first batch so quickly). Our event space was very happy with how professional Neal and Marylyn were and how well they and their staff met all the venue’s strict guidelines, including a quick and spotless cleanup of the kitchen after the event ended. Our guests were blown away with the presentation, quality and taste of all the dishes in all the courses. The food was truly exceptional and Marylyn even chased us (the bride and groom) down to make sure that we had dishes specially prepared for us and that we ate (eating at your own wedding is quite the challenge to do!). As we learned, having a wedding is a process of managing the chaos of a million moving parts. The opportunities for things to go wrong presents itself at every turn and expenses can quickly spiral way over budget very easily, and stress is ever present in large quantities. However, having Marylyn and Juste Hors D'Oeuvres as our caterer helped to greatly decrease the pitfalls, our stress, and our expenses. Our special day would not have gone as smoothly as it did if we had not partnered with a caterer as exceptional as Marylyn and her team. We highly recommend Marylyn and Juste Hors D'Oeuvres and will most definitely use them again in the future! PS. Our Wedding was everything we imagined it to be and more, and the feedback from our guests was outstanding.
Backyard BBQ party with grill chef, serving staff
Chef Stef did a wonderful job. Everything was high quality and right on Schedule. We had a buffet for 150 people and had enough food for 20 more. Entrees were fresh grilled steak, Carolina pulled pork, and BBQ chicken. Sides included yummy German style potato salad, rice with vegetables, corn on cob, tomato mozzarella salad and tossed salad, rolls, cookies and brownies. Plenty of high quality, well prepared food. Good service and cleanup and Stef bagged up the leftovers. Thanks Chef Stef. We heard no complaints.
Outdoor family BBQ, The owner, Anne, did a great job! 45-50 people, brought appetizers and desserts, kept food bowls filled and cleaned up through out the day! Would hire her again and highly recommend.
We had a company BBQ and Chef Gerry and his staff were outstanding. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. We loved the staff! They went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable.
Diana and her staff were great. I was given a long list of dishes to try. They arrived on time, brought all the necessary food, cooking and serving dishes. Ree catered an anniversary dinner party for me. Besides the food being amazing the presentation was flawless! My menu was fried fish, turkey chopped bbq, collard greens, Smoked Mac & cheese blueberry cornbread pinto beans and banana pudding ... My guest were blown away!!! The food was past delicious if that is possible and I could not recommend her service enough. Nothing compares to her passion and love in her food as well as her professional culinary skills! 5 STARS

I stumbled across My Belizean Gourmet while doing a catering search three days before my sons birthday. To say that I was super behind the eight ball would be an understatement, but what a find it was. Tara (the owner) called me right away, listened to my needs and came up with a delicious menu that had my friends, family & guest talking for days. I was so pleased with everything from the top notch customer service to the BBQ chicken & ribs that were flying off of the of the table. The folks at My Belizean grill were friendly, punctual and followed up to make sure that I was pleased with everything from beginning to end. I will definitely be using them for future events.

Chef Antoinette has been catering parties for me for years. From an outdoor BBQ for 20, on father's day to a beautiful holiday party for 80, in a blizzard, she never disappoints. She is so creative. Everything she does is beautifully presented as well as delicious. People are so impressed when they attend my parties, she usually gets a future job from one of my guests. My niece gave her mother 2 weeks notice for her wedding, and Chef Antoinette pulled it off without a hitch. Everything was amazing! I have already booked her for my holiday party in December, don't want to take the chance that someone else will get her first!!
