Marty was great. He installed new door knobs and hinges and hung some mirrors in my home. He was on time and did terrific work. Would hire him again
My partner and I just moved to NJ from NC and had quite a bit of repairs and upgrades we needed to complete on the new home we purchased. One such upgrade was venting the dryer. This home was built in 1892 so needless to say, the original architectural plan did not include a dryer. The previous owners installed a gas line - but where the gas line had to run to attach to the kitchen stove, made for a really poor location in the basement in regards to venting the dryer. Before Nick came, he let me know a price for a best case scenario, which I appreciated because had he named a price over my budget, it would have given us both the opportunity to cancel the estimate so as not to waste time. Nick arrived on-time for the estimate and at first it was pretty tricky to find a solution for venting the dryer without completely tearing up the ceiling and walls. Nick was persistent in finding though and was able to devise a plan of going through an old nonfunctional window that was hidden and covered. I hired him to complete the dryer venting and also uncap the gas line and install a hose in preparation for the dryer installation. On the day of the project, Nick arrived on time (7:30am on a Saturday) It took him about 2.5 hours to complete everything. He did a fantastic job. One strength I want to highlight is that Nick not only gets the job done, and does it well, but also takes pride in the aesthetics of his work. He could have easily vented the dryer in a way that exposed the pipe all the way along the ceiling and through the window, but instead he figured out a way to fish it under the sheet rock for a cleaner look. He also cleaned his work space completely - which I have found to be rare for contractors in this area. I have had many contractors who were ready to walk out the door without cleaning up their mess and would have done so had I not asked them to clean up before they go. I also want to highlight that I had a sewage pipe issue in the basement prior to his dryer venting project. Nick also does plumbing so I called him at 4pm and he was at my house by 8pm. People who who have hired folks for sewage pipe leaks know that cleaning up the sewage is not part of the job. Nick was willing to clean and sanitize on top of snaking the pipes and clearing them of clogs for a reasonable price. Nick has been great to work with and does great work. I have already hired him to take care of some other projects around the house (installing a shower door, clearing debris in the backyard). Glad we found a go-to handyman for our new home!
David did a great job fixing the shelf in the closet and installing a mirror in the bedroom. David took his time to address all of my questions and explained the process he would take to fix the broken shelving. Everything was done very professionally. I will definitely be using him again and will certainly recommend him to others.
Ted was so helpful!!! He was quick to respond and even came that same day. He met us at Lowe's to make sure we had everything we needed for our shower install and even delivered the shower door in his personal truck. He was professional, quick and helpful. We love our new shower door and will definitely be calling Ted again for our future projects! Thanks again 😄 -Kristin & Pete
We only signed up for thumbtack in hopes of getting a less expensive bid on our project than the one from our original contractor, what we got was the Fratturos! From the moment Harry and Brian (father and son) walked in and started looking around our kitchen, which was totally gutted from a flood, you could tell they had done this many times before. From our simple Home Depot design sketches and sharing of our ideas they were able to give us great advice and some do's and dont's on our kitchen remodeling project that we received from no one else. Two major selling points on our second walkthrough are why we hired them. They were able to figure out that the placement of our kitchen island was going to interfere with both opening the oven and our back door! Huge save... Then when we discussed not having enough storage space they took the initiative to measure out just enough room for a pantry and wine rack just off the Dining room table area. We were impressed, and sold. We handed them kitchen project and our basement refinishing project which included moving walls, doorways and remodeling the bathroom. We couldn't be happier with their work. The estimate we received from Fratturo Home Remodeling was actually a bit higher than we wanted to go... but we trusted them and that's priceless. I believe we saved in the long run, because there were no surprise fee's after the project started or extra costs due to poor planning. I highly recommend the Fratturos and thumbtack!
Very quick response time. Came out for an estimate the next day and started work within two weeks. Seemed very knowledgable and were able to help us decide what type of repairs we needed. They kept the work area very clean, protected all of the flooring from damage and picked up before leaving each day. Great attention to detail and quality work! They were flexible when things came up during the project that needed to be addressed like a bathroom floor we hadn't intended to replace but decided when everything else looked so nice that we wanted that done too and they accommodated our request with no problem and were able to make everything look great. Our project consisted of mostly cosmetic work, but also included a newly framed interior door, new molding, patchwork, painting, new flooring install and bathroom tiling. We were very happy and will use them again for other projects.
French Door Installation, Ceiling Fans and windows and door trims. Luther is very professional and friendly. He helped me installed a French door, two ceiling fans and a some door and window trims. He gave me tips and took the time to explain. I would refer him to a friend. I will continue to work with him on other projects.
Nelson and his associate did an excellent job on installing my shower door, after my contractor couldn't finish the job due to loss of man power ,I texted thumbtack and less than 24 hours later I had four bids and his was the best , he had nice reviews and did a great job for me.He was very meticulous, and I recommend him to all of you.😎
Brian renovated my master bath and did a great job. All he did has lasted 8 years and still looks great. He found black mold in a sliding door wall that separated the toilet/shower, got rid of that and opened the whole room up. Retiled the shower, new floor, ceiling, vanity and mirror. I highly recommend him. He is reliable and if he ways he will come on a certain day, he does.
I was recently faced with the challenge of getting my old home ready for sale. NEW HORIZON HANDY SERVICES installed new sinks, new kitchen and bathroom cabinets, new light fixtures, new face boards throughout my house, fixed leaks in the shower, and patched up holes in my walls caused by a faulty window covering installation. If you're faced with home improvement or repair tasks, and don't have the time or the ability to deal with it, I would give NEW HORIZON HANDY SERVICES my highest recommendation. Susan & Mitch, LI, N. I had a huge leak from the upstairs shower. Gio and Benny arrived and took their time figuring out where the leak was coming from. They were honest and said that it was not a pipe causing the issue. They figured out that in fact it was NOT GROUT on the shower base but SILICONE! They recommended grouting first and see if that works. IT WORKED! I’m so grateful for their honesty and integrity. They are now going to install the shower door. The previous idiots that used silicone instead of grout couldn’t put back properly and eventually one of the doors shattered! These guys are GREAT! I highly recommend them. Yolanda
They did an excellent job! They took care of everything. From the permits, to bringing all the contractors to vacuuming the debris. Adam (the owner) was our point of contact and he had all the patience in world to all our questions. They did the job fairly quickly (addition of a shower to an existing bathroom in the basement took about a 4-5 weeks). We are SO happy with the result. The basement shower looks nicer than our master bath!
Great job not only with the tiles but installing the glass shower doors and the toilet
Andy was perfect! He arrived on-time knew exactly what he was doing and was able to troubleshoot a problem with my door knob installation due to a settling old house and things being out of alignment. I already have a short list of things I will be asking him to come back for. He's local for me very reasonable and has a nice personality. He also gave me advice on air conditioner placement for my small apartment and he will be back to install those for me as well. All in all a great experience!
Work completed on 3-20-18. Was a new whole house water softener, upgrade to 3/4 inch piping and replacement of kitchen and bathroom faucets. Total cost $3450.00. Here in Parsippany, we have hard water. Our 10 year old oil furnace needed a coil replacement due to hot water flow issues. However it did not solve the problem. My first call and only call was to ONE STOP since I have them servicing my central a/c unit. A technician came out and tested the hot water and the recommendation was to install a whole house water softener and replace the old 1/2" copper pipes with 3/4" pex. After a few minor issues regarding the hot water flow in the kitchen and master bathroom, it was recommended the faucets be changed. This was a good call cause once they were changed the flow dramatically improved. My thanks to Sam who initially came out and worked well into the night and supervisor Jimmy and plumbing expert Mike for following up to be sure we were satisfied with the work that was done. It was worth the price, since we now have a good hot water flow and are using less dish washing liquid and water to rinse the dishes and we are seeing virtually no spots on the shower glass doors. Our 11 year old dishwasher has never cleaned better with the addition of the water softener. The water has a nice clean and silky feel to it. So as they say "Happy Wife, Happy Life". Make Them your first call.
David Denise and Shawn completed the job and did quality work on our shower glass door framing and installation. Highly recommended
I couldn't recommend Rolando more highly. Rolando did myriad services around our house including hanging drapes, fixing closet doors, putting together a bed, hanging two TV's (one a 55") on the walls, fixing kitchen closets and installing a new shower head. Rolando worked efficiently, professionally, kept everything clean, was kind, courteous and totally comfortable negotiating prices. We not only would use him again without ever seeking anyone else, but we will continue to use him for major projects (installing new wood floors) and odds and ends projects around the home. If you would like a more personal review have him give our number to you and give us a call.
Washington and Louis installed two glass shower doors for us and I am extremely happy with their service. Their quality of work is top notched, they respond to all my questions and concerns within 1 hour and they are punctual. They took a lot of care to install my doors, listened to my opinions and adjusted their install accordingly. I will never hesitate to hire them again and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to install glass doors.
Replaced the lab's back door locks. The dentist was very happy that the job was done in a professional timely manner. I will be glad to work with Luis again should the need arise. Thank you Luis for a great job
Bruce has done a wide variety of work for us; put in replacement windows, built a room in the basement, replaced the front door, fixed the roof, built an outdoor shower house, etc. I am very happy with all his work and highly recommend him for any carpentry work.
An important client of ours was looking for something more upscale for their shower doors than what our typical vendor provided, and I was pointed in the direction of Atm glass by a few friends in the trade . First off, their customer service is exceptional. I was given a great amount of attention right over the phone, with a few simple questions I was given some budgetary pricing. They weren't looking to "upsell" everything and really took the time to ask what was important and what wasn't so we could stay as close to our budget as possible. I had also found that they are the only company in the area that makes their custom shower doors right at their own factory in westchester. I brought my clients to the showroom and factory and we were really impressed. Jim, the owner, helped us with the design and it was exactly what our clients were looking for. As tradespeople ourselves, we're we're given the opportunity to install the doors ourselves or have them install. At the end, we opted to have them do the install as the enclosure was a bit intricate. They sent a person out to measure, who was excellent. He spent a lot of time with us hashing out pros and cons of different details like the door size and how to configure the glass panels. Very professional. Delivery was about 2 weeks after the measure. Their installers were meticulous ! Treated the clients home just as it were their own. And the finished product was certainly magazine worthy. I have worked with a lot of glass trades over the years, Atm was without a doubt the best. I think anyone looking for a higher end glass shower door will not be disappointed .
