My fiancé and I got as far as picking our wedding date before realizing we were going to need a lot of help with the planning and executing of our wedding. We had our hearts set on having our reception in a large beautiful building from 1802 that was not a wedding venue at all. It was simply an empty building making the whole process that much more complicated. Sarah Parlos came highly recommended from a co-worker who had recently used her services. I hired Sarah Parlos for her Day Of wedding coordination package as well as her Wedding Décor and Design Package. I originally spoke with her in June 2014 and from that day until the wedding (May 2015) she was always readily available whenever I had any questions or concerns. Sarah really listened to what I wanted the reception hall to look like and made my thoughts and dreams into a reality. Her sense of style and decorating skills are truly outstanding. She did things I wouldnt have even thought were possible. Whenever I had a concern she took the time to address it. She even started decorating the hall a few days early so my fiancé and I could look at a few design elements we were iffy about before the big day (of course we should have just trusted Sarah because everything was amazing). The amount of compliments I got on how beautiful the reception hall was, was overwhelming. As if making the building beautiful was not enough, Sarah also upheld her duties as the Day Of coordinator. From ushering people into the reception hall after cocktail hour to reminding my husband and I when it was time to cut the cake, she was on top of it. A month prior to the event she got all the vendors information and did all the final verifications! She handed out the vendor tips, made excel spreadsheets for the day of schedule and emailed everyone involved a copy, she touched base with the members in the wedding party, etc. The list really is endless. I had not one worry about anything the day of our wedding and Sarah Parlos played a huge role in that. I would highly recommend Sarah for anyone whos planning a large event and needs some help. Shes upbeat, easy to get along with, and seems to truly care about her clients and their needs.
Working with Bartenders Express at my company's summer outing was wonderful. John is friendly, professional, and has exellent communication and customer service. He was always available to speak on the phone and over email, and was flexible in customizing the order for my guests' preferences. He made great suggestions for the drinks and all guests had a great experience. I would absolutely recommend Bartenders Express for any corporate or social event.
Victoria was a pleasure to work with! As an older same-sex couple we hadn't really thought a lot about having a wedding and, at times, felt a bit out at sea, but Victoria could always point us in the right direction and had great suggestions and answers for any questions we had. The caterer, DJ, rental company, florist, and other businesses she suggested to us were all excellent. Nothing seemed to phase Victoria and her crew. Since we got married on our own property, we did a lot of the decor; Victoria jumped in last minute to help when dealing with some of the flowers and greenery got to be too much. After the event she even got us a hefty refund from a company whose equipment malfunctioned momentarily; and this was with absolutely no prompting from us. The wedding planning and the event itself all ran very smoothly, primarily due to Victoria and her staff. At times she seemed to be in two or more places at once! We would happily recommend her to anyone needing help planning an event.
We hired Vickie for the Baby Shower. Vickie did an amazing job decorating the event hall. My wife was excited after seeing the arrangements that Vickie made. She was thrilled and happy that the event was well panned and managed. All the guests were also impressed with the event (decoration and planning). It was one of the best days of our life. All the credit goes to Vickie for making this event a memorable one.
I feel like I could write a novel about how awesome it was to work with Tammie and the fam at Desert Vines Events. I'll just highlight some of my favorite things and give you a TL;DR - five stars---no, ten stars. Would hire again in a heartbeat, no need to look anywhere else. - Little creative details everywhere!! Hire Desert Vines if you want someone who can truly help you create a DIY wedding on a shoestring budget. I can only imagine what she could do with a full budget! - Tammie let me take the lead, even when I proposed some crazy ideas. She never shot them down, either... she'd just go through the logistics to make sure we'd thought of everything. I liked the way, when I would suggest something kinda weird, she would very gently tell me what she thought and suggest alternatives---but if I pressed on, she would step back and let me do my thing. That meant a lot to me. It was good to have someone keeping me grounded, but also who would step back and let me take risks if I wanted to. - Immediately after hiring her, Tammie quickly identified and addressed any tasks that I had overlooked or was dragging my feet on, and took care of them completely. Her doing this gave me the space to focus on my favorite parts of event planning, and allowed me to let go of some aspects that I cared less about. All the tasks she took over for me proceeded to run seamlessly at the event; I didn't have to think twice about them. - Tammie was endlessly patient and kind, even when I got stressed out. She always found a way to look on the bright side of things, which I find to be a great quality in a planner. - It was genuinely fun to brainstorm ideas with her. She's so creative and craftsy, we were able to do so much with relatively little... everything looked soo beautiful in the end. - Her crew was so sweet and friendly, and always on the lookout for ways they could help during the event. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed working with Tammie and the Desert Vines crew. What a beautiful wedding we put together. <3 Highly recommend. Couldn't have done it without them.
Terry-Ann is an amazing and thoughtful designer. She created a centerpiece of my vision, not what she thought my vision should be. She understood what I wanted and went above and beyond. This was a corporate event for a fortune 100 company and her design was top notch and affordable.
Gayle assisted me with my daughter's Bat Mitzvah. I needed her at the event site to set-up the decorations and oversee the vendors, including the caterer. She also coordinated a brunch for me at my home the next day. She supervised the caterer and the set-up for me that day so I could relax and enjoy my guests. She is reliable, creative, and a wonderful addition to my party needs! What Went Well: Gayle was extremely organized and professional. The B'nai Mitzvah set-up had a tight time schedule and she had everything ready on time. She was very responsive and everything went very smoothly. I would highly recommend Gayle for all your event planning needs.

We recently celebrated our 50 th anniversary. Ciesco was an intrical part of the planning and the realization of our party. No detail was either too small or too large for them to handle. They designed the invitation, planned the menu and the food was fantastic! They helped make our day special and it all went off without a hitch. It was like make a party with your best friend . I got engaged on May 2, 2012. From that day on, my mind, body and soul was in wedding planning mode. The first couple of months of wedding planning werent too bad because there really wasnt much that my fiancé and I felt like we needed to do besides selecting a date and finding a venue. Boy were we wrong. I mean, neither of us had planned a wedding before so we had no idea what was in store. It was when I stared to get mini migraines and panic attacks when thinking about vendors, décor, transportation, themes, food selection, guest list management, etc., that I knew that we needed help. My searches for wedding planners lead me to the Knot, WeddingWire and Craigslist. On September 25, 2012, I came across an ad on craigslist for Events by Jackie M. Even though I have always been skeptical of any craigslist ad, something told me to contact Jackie M. This was one of the best decisions of my life. From our first meeting with Jackie M, to our last meeting prior to my wedding day, Jackie was prepared, knowledgeable about her craft, open to hearing any and all ideas, forthcoming with her own ideas, but not too pushy or forceful about it, always smiling from ear to ear, super responsive with emails, texts, calls, aware of budgets and able to find affordable alternatives to capture her clients vision, organized beyond belief with notes and reminders of each meeting she has with her clients, able to attend as many vendor meetings as her clients would like her to. I could go on and on and on about how essential Jackie M was in making my wedding day and planning process up to that day stress free and everything I could ever dream it to be. My fiancé, Vlad, was very skeptical about getting a planner. He swore we didnt need one and that we could do it all on our own. I was shocked to see how quickly after our first meeting with Jackie his tune changed. Even though she didnt know it, she was able to convince him just by her attitude and honesty. Additionally, our wedding venue also offered a wedding coordinator. Jackie did not view this coordinator as competition, but rather made sure to work hand in hand with her to ensure that the venue stayed informed of all my many details and expectations. Jackies ability to work well with all my vendors was very impressive and also put my fiancé and I at ease. Never did we have to step in to any uncomfortable matters because Jackie already had it covered. On the day of the wedding, September 28, 2013, Jackie was outstanding. We had a total of 262 guests. Jackie was professional, but very personable to all of our guests. I had many family members tell me after the wedding how helpful Jackie was in helping them find their seats or keeping the guests informed about what was going on. Jackie also created our ceremony programs which were beautifully made and also decorated our ceremony pergola. So beautiful! She also put together our reception centerpieces as well as other décor surprises that she included for us. We loved them all! I highly recommend (and have already) Jackie M to anyone in need of a phenomenal wedding planner who is easy to get along with, open minded, readily available even though she has clients and weddings booked almost every weekend. She is also very affordable and willing to work with all wedding budgets. Events by Jackie M. is a wedding planning experience you cant afford to miss!
Laurie and her husband catered our wedding in the hills of Ashfield, MA. They were absolutely outstanding! The food was delicious, they were so patient with us while arranging everything, and made planning very easy and hassle-free. They even accommodated us to allow for an ice cream sundae bar on site. They are very organized and helped ease our minds about forgetting anything. Their staff was very friendly and ensured everyone was happy with the amount of food they had, as well as ensuring everything tasted good. I cannot say enough nice things about this company. They really made our special day perfect. Our guests have not stopped raving about the food since. Laurie was so involved that she almost felt like a day of organizer, she is so helpful and amazing. Thank you so much to Laurie and her team for being such an incredible catering service!
