Harry did a great job on a tricky project with some unusual conditions. He gave me excellent consultation on the project beforehand and was very friendly and easy to work with.

J & M came in to do a basic pipe leak in our basement and change out a water filter system. We had our furnace scheduled to have it's yearly service the following day by a different company we always use. Fortunately for us, Mike and Sean took a look at our furnace and found that our furnace hadn't been properly cleaned in years. They cleaned our furnace and installed a new combustion kit. It was filled with debris and was at risk of the boiler cracking. They were thorough, professional and we HIGHLY recommend them. Mike and Cheryl A.

We hired Dave Houseman for what started as a few appliance hookups, but soon grew into a mini-electrical makeover for our home. When all was said and done I think he ended up doing new 2nd floor washer and dryer outlets, an in-wall entertainment hookup, wiring for an in-fireplace temp sensor, a wall mount micowave outlet, new breakers and outlets for a basement home gym, recessed closet lights, and an up-to-new-code dishwasher outlet. This was a home purchase for us, and Dave actually met us at the house the night of the closing to helped us understand what electrical changes did and didn't need to be made. He gave us a very detailed estimate which itemized everything, then he worked it together with us to tailor things in and out to help us stay under budget. We were impressed at how efficient Dave worked, and how professional he was compared to all the other contractors we had in the house. He also demonstrated great patience with us as we changed our minds on plans while they were coming together. Overall great experience, we will definitely hire Dave again.

I do not even know where to start. If Bruce lived in a different time he would have been a Renaissance man. He possesses a masterful blend of artistry and intellect. The first project he did for us was to redo a simple laundry room. This entailed making templates and installing granite for a counter with a sink and a making a folding table/counter. He had to repair some sheet rock and repaint the room. The results were impressive. The second job he did was design and build a workbench for my art studio. His architectural renderings were impressive. He measured the length of my arms to insure I was able to reach the peg board behind the work bench. He thought to install a length of electrical outlets beneath the lip of the bench. The side drawers are easily opened and closed and the paper trays are large enough to hold my watercolor paper. He is extremely meticulous and his work shows this. He installed glass doors in the basement studio to allow more light to enter the area. When this wasn't sufficient, he cut through the concrete and installed a window (with molding and a sill). His masterpiece was the deck he built for us. With Bruce's skill and our artistic input he produced a showpiece deck. The three tiered deck allows for minimal visual obstruction of the woods below. He installed tiny lights on the stairs to make them safer in the evening. He thought of these. He made a portion of the deck curved to provide harmony with the landscaping. Again, his renderings were precise and impressive. He laid everything out carefully and was always thinking ahead. Our deck is magnificent. He handled all the paperwork for the permits as well. On a smaller scale Bruce hung paintings, our TV, glass doors leading to a bonus room, fixed all our leaky faucets and provided names when we needed a generator and a water softening system installed. Bruce is one of a kind in that he is masterful in so many areas and knows when to get a consult. He is prompt and ready to work hard. He put in very long hours, cleaned up and just did amazing work. I still look forward to having him finish an upstairs loft, a bathroom in our studio and build a space for a china hutch. I feel so fortunate that we found Bruce and would give him the highest of recommendations. He really is a Master of many things! He is also very easy to talk to and to work with.

Edison and Jeff are a class act! They did a super job installing and insulating our basement ceiling. The job is perfect! They are very professional, courteous and reliable. They showed up to work when they said they would be there. We were impressed that they worked so carefully and left the basement very neat considering the Sheetrock, insulation and compound that was used! Prior to working they were very patient and thorough with us as we asked plenty of questions. There was minimal dust left behind because they made sure everything was properly covered prior to working. They are very pleasant to work with and their price was quite reasonable. We will use them to do more work in our home. Thanks for a fantastic job JCEC!!

For U Builders replaced 7 basement windows for us. The introduction/quote visit was excellent. Really nice folks! Follow up was good. Brandon stayed on top of our order and kept us informed. Install was great. Leon tailored the trim to the space so it wasn't a "one size fits all" install. Very much appreciate that - and they were done earlier in the day than we expected. This would be a 5 star review if the time between the initial appointment and the installation hadn't been over 6 weeks. We understand the windows come from PA, and there was the Thanksgiving holiday in there, but that's twice as long as unexpected/were told.

Rolando from Roland Construction went over and above my expectations. He and his team were very professional and did everything that he gave an estimate for and even fixed other little problems in the basement. His team were all very hard working and organized. At the end of every work day, they would leave the site clean of all debris, neatly packed in bags, ready for the dumpster. I would definitely recommend Roland Construction for any project in a home.

I hired Ed Wallace to renovate my basement in 2012 which included reframing walls, building a faux bump-out to camouflage a cement beam, installing new drop ceilings, demo-ing existing bathroom, and install all new tile (walls and floor), as well as new fixtures and lighting. He also did all the finishes, and trim, including installing wanes-coting, staining and painting. He used one assistant and was extremely neat, clean, and reliable. The quality of his craftsmanship was top among the best I ever received from a contractor and he is delightful to interact with. His price was fair, and he completed his work on schedule. He even went out of his way to exchange/return all the left over tiles in the Bronx. He gave great advice on some of the design and materials and especially appreciated how much pride he took in the finished product and his work, and followed up to make sure I was happy with everything and to remind me he will come back if there are any issues. I would definitely recommend him and use him again myself should I do additional work in my home.

Over the course of two months Chris remodeled a basement studio apartment for me. He gutted the existing bathroom, nstalled vinyl flooring, did a new bathroom, built shelves, painted, did plumbing and electric work, installed a small kitchen and did a number of other odd jobs on the property. Chris is a master craftsmen who is a perfectionist with his work. His prices are reasonable and he is 100 percent honest and trustworthy. I even gave him a blank check once for materials. I am using my unit as an airbnb apartment and guests regularly comment on the craftsmanship of the apartment and specifically the bathroom. I really can't say enough good things about Chris. I plan on using him for all my work from here on out. I will let the photos speak for themselves.

After purchasing our home we discovered a large amount of wood rot. Tom worked with our insurance company and was able to complete the repairs within our budget. We had him do a few other small jobs as well. He added a wall and a door going into our basement. I would highly recommend his work. Jason Bates, Guilford CT

Frank did a beautiful job on our kitchen. It's a big room which included a bathroom and basement landing, and the limestone we chose was expensive and not something we were sure that everyone could work with. Additionally, our application in our 75 year old house was "complicated." After our first meeting with Frank we were sure that he had the expertise and knowledge to handle all the challenges. We were correct. He was meticulous, worked neatly, kept us informed and rolled with the changes with which our house surprised us. He does beautiful work, and is pleasant t have in your home.
