David has been great to work with. I came across him and a few other teachers on the internet and after meetings a few, I decided to hire him for my seven year old son who has been taking piano lessons for two years and still does parallel to guitar. In fact, I was so impressed by David that I decided to take guitar lessons myself. I had not taken any music classes at all in the past, but thanks to David's teaching abilities, professionalism and patience, I have made nice progress and am enjoying learning how to play the guitar. My son is also enjoying the lessons. I work in a demanding, fast-paced environment and do not have much time to practice as much as I should, but David is making the learning a real pleasure and I plan on taking lessons for years to come. David is an excellent teacher with a tremendous knowledge of music and very capable of customizing his approach based on the student's skill level. I highly recommend him.

I have been taking guitar lessons from Pete for about 5 years now. The 5 years that I have been getting lessons have been a really good and I have learned so much about the guitar. Firstly, when I first started I was starting from scratch and had absolutely no idea on how to play. But now im able to play with pretty good speed and keep up with the fast songs. His teaching style I believe is very good and easy to understand, helping you excell in whatever you are doing. And it' not boring at all. Each lesson I have had, I have at least laughed a couple of times. So overall he is a great teacher who I would recommend to anyone if they were looking to learn the guitar or any other instrument he teaches.

Barb's Continuo Home Music Lessons provided home lessons to my son. Not only was the instructor very talented, but they knew exactly how to interact with a young person to keep his interest throughout the lesson and encouraged practicing beyond the lesson. Barb is always prompt and goes out of her way to accomodate scheduling issues.

I have been playing guitar on and off for 15 years and wanted to improve technique as well as learn some things I could only learn live from a professional. Tim's competence and easy manner are a nice combination and Tim makes learning fun even for an someone who's been playing a while. His love for what he does is clear and his regard for adapting to the individual is a welcome trait for someone who knows some stuff but needs coaching. We bounced back and forth between technique and working with stuff I created which was a nice augmentation to my guitar life - which is rejuvenated.

Tommy has been an amazing guitar, bass, and audio engineering teacher. Recently, we've been working together on some college auditions involving jazz bass, which I knew little of in terms of techniques and terminology. With Tommy's help, I've learned what would have taken me forever, and I feel a lot better about the audition process.

Over the coarse of 6 or so years Chris Schreiner has given me countless one on one bass lessons. Not only is he a personable guy, he always finds inventive ways to help a student succeed; Professionalism (on time, proper equipment, and real life experience), clear articulation (Terminology and Explanations), and positive attitude will not only encourage you but motivate you to do well. His versatility is also a plus. He has no problem catering to peoples musical needs no matter how far out it may be. All in all, great guy, great teacher!

I took guitar lessons for three years with Lou at U Music and the quality of instruction was incredible. Lou clearly knows what he's talking about when it comes to understanding the guitar. He provides a holistic and fun approach to learning the instrument, backed up by many years of experience as a musician and teacher. I would recommend him as a teacher to anyone from the earliest beginners to the most veteran guitar players. I'm also pleased to say that every one of the instructors at U Music is friendly and easy to talk to. I took voice lessons with Ann (which were also fun and helpful), and I've had numerous chats about music and other things with both Greg the bass teacher and Nick the drum instructor. Great people, great instruction in my experience, and altogether a great place to learn about the wonderful world of music.

I have had the honor of taking guitar lessons with Larry Meyer for about 3 years. Larry introduced me to the world of JAZZ and the concept of musical freedom through improvisation. Larry has truly inspired me to be a musician, and to think beyond my original guitar mind set. If you ask him a question, you will get an answer backed by a lifetime of musical exploration and experience, not to mention the serious undeniable pure talent. It is impossible to get a lesson from Larry and not be infected by his excitement of the music and the joy of revealing that infinite world to an aspiring player. I thank you Larry for your friendship and patience as you helped direct me through each musical stepping stone.

Brian is an outstanding teacher. He puts his love of music into teaching. My son Jacob has had other teachers in the past but none compared to Brian. Jacob loves to play the guitar, knows how to read music and plays beautiful music, thanks to Brian.

Ace comes to our lessons on time, and with a plan. She remembers what I've been practicing, and knows how to get me to the next level. She gives me her full attention for the whole time we're in the lesson, and when it's time to wrap it up, she leaves me with clear assignments for how to practice and what to practice - and it's always something fun, challenging and yet attainable that makes me want to come back to my instrument. Ace makes it fun to work hard at getting better.

My 13 year old daughter, Alessandra, has been taking guitar lessons with Larry Del Casale since Summer 2012, so a little more than 4 years. He integrates theory, technique, and passion together in a way that made her progress at an amazing rate. I think Larry is one of the reasons why my daughter loves and enjoys playing the guitar so much.

When I struggled to get the technique right, he not only showed a lot of patience, but he tried various methods of explaining/demonstrating the lesson until I got it. After a little bit of practice, the piece that I struggled with through the first half of my lesson feels like second nature to play. I highly recommend Blackledge Guitar Institute for guitar lessons, no matter what level you're at.

Arthur is an excellent, very well-rounded, guitar instructor. He is very knowledgeable in quite a few aspects of guitar playing - from music theory, playing different styles, transcribing, to all the guitar gear and technology stuff. He has a nice studio, and is also very accuracy oriented, which I really like. I'm into learning to play the blues, rock and metal, and Arthur has been really helpful with that. Highly recommended!

I play some bass, acoustic guitar and mandolin, and play regularly with some friends, but I don't read music (other than chord diagrams). I stumbled on a really lovely handmade 8-course lute today at an estate sale (the owner is elderly and had been a lover of early music. I passed on his rebec as just too hard). I've spent a few hours today on YouTube figuring out how to tune it and realized it has a truly ethereal sound. I fell in love with the sound of a mandolin a couple of years ago and taught myself that because it sounded so beautiful, and the lute seems much more subtle. So I want to take at least a few lessons to learn whether I really have it tuned properly, how to hold my hands, etc., and to see how steep the learning curve is to play at an acceptable level.
