We bought a new TV and wanted to mount it on the wall in our apartment. Realized shortly after moving in that the wall was cement, and needed some extra help (didn't have the tools to drill through the cement and didn't want to fuss buying new stuff). After researching and fielding different offers, we eventually hired Lopez Home Improvement LLC. Thought this would be an easy job -- it wasn't. I've drilled through cement before, but this stuff was strong. Real strong. Overall, Walter came in prepared and professional. He worked non-stop and completed the job in an efficient manner. All I can say is I appreciate his patience throughout the time he was here -- it wasn't an easy job to say the least. But above all else, we couldn't be happier with the result. Did I mention he charged us an extremely favorable rate to complete this job? I would easily recommend. Worth every penny.
Herson Lopez and his team executed three projects simultaneously for us: re-roofing our house, a complete exterior paint job, and the re-building of our front porch. Their work was excellent, and the end results look terrific. More importantly, though, was the fact that all the work was completed on-time and on-budget. In addition, Herson was personally involved in project oversight, and he took the time to communicate with us on a regular basis as work progressed. I highly recommend Herson, and I will gladly rely on him for future work!
Dave was on time, did what he said he would do and the newly installed floor tiles looked great. I will use him again.
Dan was hired to assemble and install IKEA cabinets in the kitchen. He did an impressive job they look beautiful. It was part of remodeling of our kitchen and as a contractor he scheduled his time around and with both the electrician and plumber. It soon became apparent that his skills on other parts of the renovation was invaluable. He opened the kitchen up in ways we didn't know was possible and offered ideas in the design that made our little kitchen more spacious then we thought possible. His help with coordinating color and patterns made this old kitchen in to something you might see in a magazine. We love it Thank you Dan! My Mother is a bit of a perfectionist and making her happy can be a task at times, but he accomplished it with a very professional attitude and skill. I have worked with other contractors before who can be tempermental with poor communication and disappearing for weeks at a time Not Dan he always kept me in the loop and was available for every concern. As for any improvement in hind sight the kitchen floor should have been covered the whole time because the plaster dust was somewhat difficult to scrub off the floor. And can I mention he did this while 2 small kids were Home on vacation and often in the way. His patients are to be admired as he always had a good sense of humor and a positive attitude.
I do not even know where to start. If Bruce lived in a different time he would have been a Renaissance man. He possesses a masterful blend of artistry and intellect. The first project he did for us was to redo a simple laundry room. This entailed making templates and installing granite for a counter with a sink and a making a folding table/counter. He had to repair some sheet rock and repaint the room. The results were impressive. The second job he did was design and build a workbench for my art studio. His architectural renderings were impressive. He measured the length of my arms to insure I was able to reach the peg board behind the work bench. He thought to install a length of electrical outlets beneath the lip of the bench. The side drawers are easily opened and closed and the paper trays are large enough to hold my watercolor paper. He is extremely meticulous and his work shows this. He installed glass doors in the basement studio to allow more light to enter the area. When this wasn't sufficient, he cut through the concrete and installed a window (with molding and a sill). His masterpiece was the deck he built for us. With Bruce's skill and our artistic input he produced a showpiece deck. The three tiered deck allows for minimal visual obstruction of the woods below. He installed tiny lights on the stairs to make them safer in the evening. He thought of these. He made a portion of the deck curved to provide harmony with the landscaping. Again, his renderings were precise and impressive. He laid everything out carefully and was always thinking ahead. Our deck is magnificent. He handled all the paperwork for the permits as well. On a smaller scale Bruce hung paintings, our TV, glass doors leading to a bonus room, fixed all our leaky faucets and provided names when we needed a generator and a water softening system installed. Bruce is one of a kind in that he is masterful in so many areas and knows when to get a consult. He is prompt and ready to work hard. He put in very long hours, cleaned up and just did amazing work. I still look forward to having him finish an upstairs loft, a bathroom in our studio and build a space for a china hutch. I feel so fortunate that we found Bruce and would give him the highest of recommendations. He really is a Master of many things! He is also very easy to talk to and to work with.
Grass trimmed and no cuttings left behind on the sidewalk...neat and clean. Very pleased with the work.
Michael did a beautiful job installing crown moulding on the first floor of my son's cape, especially in the hallway where there were multiple, tight corners. Looks great, but best was that he called back promptly, arrived on time and was very professional. The job came in at double the original Thumbtack, sight unseen estimate, but actually $50 under the actual estimate. Very pleased. Will be calling him for future work.
My name is Jessica Hart. I hired this company to frame my house, in addition to building a garage. They were very friendly, reliable and cost efficient. They did a great job. They estimated it to be a certain amount of days and they completed the project sooner than their estimation. I am now hiring this company to build a deck on the back of my house. I will refer this company in the future and I strongly recommend going with them
Ralph installed a staircase on our deck and painted/touch up the front porch/steps. He has great communication skills, friendly demeanor and provided us with good suggestions on the project. He is reasonably priced and completed everything on time, meeting our deadline. The finished product is beautiful! I would hire Ralph again if need be, and definitely recommend him.
Hans did a wonderful job on my three season room. The supporting posts were sinking and rotting, so he was able to lift up the whole back side of the room and put in new supports and level the room. He also built a staircase on one side of the room leading out to my patio and backyard. I highly recommend him and hope to have him do more work at my house!
Kevin structurally fixed the framing in my 1925 farmhouse, reinsulated it (it had tarpaper insulation), raised the ceilings upstairs (his idea since there was only a small crawlspace there), re-roofed part of my house and several outbuildings, installed several vintage windows, rebuilt my interior stairs, structurally improved my basement, built several cedar closets, and improved my bathroom layout. He completed everything from demolition to framing to insulation and drywall/taping to painting. He also built a 4th stall in my horse barn in an atypical space. Kevin worked on my house/barn/outbuildings/roofs periodically over two years and improved/built/fixed everything wonderfully, from small details to new roofs to large framing corrections from what the original builders had done in 1925. He worked closely with me in the decision-making process, often providing me with ideas and improvements that had not occurred to me that resulted in a beautiful and functional living space far exceeding my expectations. Kevin was very cost-effective in his material choices often re-using original 1925 materials that produced a period effect that also happened to be gorgeous. He was more than fair in his pricing, and I liked how he had me control the purchase/payment of materials directly so that I managed material costs and could transparently see what I was paying for without worrying about hidden costs or mark-ups. I have worked with several carpenters over time, and Kevin was far superior to any of them in his knowledge, experience, ideas and overall professionalism. He kept the job site very clean as I continued to live in my home while work went on, and he always made it as easy and comfortable as possible given the large scale of some remodel phases. Kevin has many sourcing resources - for example, I found a pair of vintage windows that were also energy efficient in a small store I hadn't heard of that really brought my dining room together. Kevin built a horse stall in my barn in the side section with a low, slanted roof. He made several adjustments to the ceiling before closing it in so that my horse had more head room. He had to create a 4th wall that was strong enough to stand up to a horses antics, which he partially did by creating a pocket door to add reinforcement. He was well versed with the safety requirements of horses, and my horse loves her new home. You can see several pictures of the stall on his website, hitthepin.com Kevin built several windows in the barn both for ventilation and so that my horses could see out, and he also fixed interior and exterior barn doors that were in need of facelifts to make them safe again. Kevin replaced the flat section of roof on my house (from an addition), thereby also fixing a leak around my chimney that four other roofing specialists had failed to correct. No more leak now! He also performed work on several of my farm outbuildings, from roofs, to gutters, to seating on an elevated deck. In summary, I found Kevin to be the ultimate professional and an innovative craftsman. His creativity and artistry add another dimension to his carpentry skills, which is a true benefit for his customers. I recommend Kevin and Hit the Pin to anyone who seeks a multi-faceted, talented artisan who works very hard, efficiently, courteously and cost-effectively.
Mike was contacted about building an outside stairway on the side of a steep hill and responded immediately. We met that day at the job site and he provided suggestions that I agreed with. He provided an estimate in a few days that I felt was fair and he was given the job. He was able to complete the stairway and an additional small porch railing quickly and they look great. The town has already approved them for use by the senior citizen occupants who are extremely happy about their new stairway.
Jerry worked on an addition to my home and then some minor renovations. He is a amazing to work with - professional, responsive, meticulous in his work and has a good eye with design. He's an amazing partner and he treats your house as if it were his own.
Ryan Wheeler is an outstanding contractor. He has done superb work building and designing the additions to my house that I desired. His ideas and design skills are superior. Working with Ryan was a pleasant and rewarding experience. I would recommend Ryan Wheeler to anyone who truly values quality construction.
John helped me design a complicated renovation after a fire. I was very happy with his design input and execution. I continue to use him as I add additional features to my home.
David Murphy showed up as promised and evaluated the job. My floor problem was the result of a plumbing problem. Murphy is a licensed contractor and was quick to offer two options to solve the immediate plumbing problem. He worked with me to stay within my budget and was able to make repairs quickly. We have made plans to do additional work including the floor repair.
I hired One Stop Solutions to install a Wood Floor in my home office. Not only did the floor turn out great but my wife added to the work order upgraded floor molding and added crown molding to the room. It is now my wife's favorite room in the house. The job turned out great and One Stop Solutions pricing was extremely reasonable and they help save me money on the materials.
Brendan did our master suite addition. From the beginning, he was professional, responsive, and meticulous. We would highly recommend and hire again!
We hired Tabner Masonary (Magno) to install a 1,000 sq.ft patio around a newly installed inground pool in Orange CT. I spoke to 6 different masons and I had a good feeling about him from the beginning and I am glad I did. He did an AMAZING job and was an absolute pleasure to work with and his prices were very competitive. He definitely knows what he is doing! He was here when he said he would be and gave me a lot of great ideas. He did such a great job we had him remove and level an existing brick patio and I couldn't be happier!!! We will be calling him back to do some additional work in the spring and I will definitely recommend him to clients, family and friends. In a time when it is hard to find quality contractors that do their job, show up and are reliable... it was a pleasure! Thanks Magno!
We have a great attention to detail and always leave the job clean and organized. We also can accomplish many other projects on you todo list.
