I have always been reluctant to get a personal trainer because I thought I could do it myself; not to mention it was very costly. After months of frustration not seeing the results I expected, I decided to post on Thumbtack to get pricing for personal training. I received multiple calls and emails from various trainers in the area. Robert, from Fitness Stop, called with detailed information about his weight loss and strength training plan. Because of the information he provided, and I can assure you the other trainers did not give me this information, I was convinced I needed to meet with him for an initial assessment. After 6 weeks of following his plan, I've lost a little over 4% body fat and gained lean muscle mass. Not only do I feel healthier and more energetic, I've lost weight and inches! I've worked with majority of their trainers, and they are all amazing! Each workout is different to prevent your body from hitting a plateau. Not only that, but it breaks of the monotony of the average mundane workout. I would 110% recommend Fitness Stop for not only weight loss but overall improvement of health.
I started working with Janet in October 2013 in the NPC Bikini division. I knew that if I wanted to advance that I needed more specific help with diet and posing. Her advice was spot-on PERFECT for me. The meal plan was appropriate for where I was and got me to the place I needed to be. We started working on my posing via Skype and what a HUGE help that was. Since she's an NPC judge, she KNOWS exactly what will and won't work for your body. I felt good about my physique but completely lost with stage presence. All that changed once I started working with Janet. At almost 47 I have taken 4th place in the OPEN at 2 very large shows and have won the 40+ and came in 2nd in the 35+ at my last big show. I have trained with Emmanuel for the past 2 years. I cycled through a number of trainers before training with Emmanuel. He is college educated, professional, and respectful of my time. He caters his workouts to your individual needs and adjusts exercises based on aliments or preferences. He has a good sense of humor and is pleasant to be around. I would recommend Emmanuel Kargbo to anyone looking for a good consistent trainer. He is a former football player and sprinter, so he is perfect for ex-athletes.

Aaron is an awesome trainer and motivator!! I needed someone to push me to get in the best shape of my life in preparation for a bikini audition against thousands of other girls in Las Vegas. His knowledgeable approach helped me to get cut but not lose my feminine shape plus he was there pushing me every step of the way, giving me aerobic workouts to do and checking in on me on the days we didn't meet. Aaron was punctual and in a great mood every time I saw him and he was even able to come to the gym in my building. And guess what? I nailed the auditions, getting selected on the spot for the position!
I came to Jarrett as an experienced distance runner starting to show his age. As an experienced running coach, I knew that in order to maintain a competitive level of training as I get older I would need to do appropriate strength training but I also knew that my knowledge in that area was sorely lacking. Jarrett has helped me enormously in the last year in two ways. First, he has systematically identified and corrected deficiencies in my strength which in turn has kept me injury free and improving. Second, he has always been willing to discuss the reasons WHY we have done each and every exercise. I asked for coach Dennisons help in designing a nutrional plan to help me prepare for an up coming jujitsu tournament. Coach Dennison prepared a specific and detailed plan tailored to my goals and my body to help me reach to weight I wished to compete at in a short time while not compromising the intensity of my training. I would certainly consult with Coach Dennison again when preparing for future competitions.
Rob is an excellent personal trainer. He is professional and most of all knowledgable. Rob was able to design a very specific plan to help me reach my goals. He managed to make a program which helped me recover from injury while getting stronger. He also lives what he teaches and is a great example of living a healthy balanced life. Robs experience with designing a program comes from vast experience as a competitive athlete, trainer, and his certifications.
When I first reached out to Damien for training I was underweight and had not worked out in over a year. Therefore, my fitness goals were to gain healthy weight (lean muscle) while staying toned. Damien’s training approach was personalized to my goals and not a “one-size fits all” approach to fitness. If you ever have a chance to have Rob train you, take full advantage. Beyond his wealth of knowledge and training techniques, he truly cares about his clients and their progress towards their goals. For me personally, I've learned so much about lifting and dieting that it's really made my path towards my goals realistic, rather than just a dream. Whether you're looking to gain size/strength, to lean/tone, or to work on conditioning, Rob will have a strategic plan to tackle the challenge, push you past your sticking points, and achieve your vision of your best self. Don't expect it to be easy, tho, as there were many a workouts where I was exhausted, sweaty, and sore only halfway through the workout. Lol! As with any trainer/coach, don't be afraid to ask questions, as Rob will have answers, alternatives and options abound. If certain exercises hurt or don't feel effective, talk to Rob who'll work around injuries and develop a routine to help target the desired muscles without aggravating injuries. ~Steve

These two alone are two of the best trainers I've ever come across but when they combined forces to provide me with new & excellent training skills, they're unstoppable. Met them after our first physique competition June 22, 2013. I worked with them for a duration of 3 months and with a couple tweaks in my diet & new outdoor circuits, by the end of my summer (2013) I couldn't believe the growth in strength and density my muscle retained. I owe these two a lot for opening my eyes to new and advance methods of training
I contacted Alexey in order to train for a physique competition. Alexey provided me top notch diet plans and worked with me to achieve my goal. Mike is by far the BEST personal trainer out there!! I was 45 when I hired him, 50 pounds overweight and terribly out of shape. One year later I was walking across the stage in my first amateur bodybuilding competition. Mike knows his stuff!!!
MJ is a fantastic trainer! When I first started with him, I had a lingering foot injury which has now resolved thanks, in large part, to his knowledge about how to strengthen the underlying and connected muscles. He is diligent about studying the individual needs of his clients to figure out how they can reach their goals; injury prevention is his priority. His background in competitive sports, physical therapy and fitness sets him apart from other fitness trainers. Five stars are not enough!
Justin is an excellent trainer. My training sessions are individualized to my needs and wants and are complemented by his knowledge and experience to include what I should be focusing on but was not aware of; balance, core exercises and endurance training. I first used Ed 3yrs ago when I wanted to lose weight for my wedding. He helped me look & feel amazing in my wedding dress! Last fall my husband & I discovered our love for mud runs but found we aren't really in the best to complete all of the obstacles.
