Sterling was excellent to work with. We had him replace 3 toilets in our home, and while he was there he also helped with an issue we were having with our shower drain. He was professional and communicative right from the start, which was extremely helpful as my wife and I were trying to balance the work around our work schedules. Will absolutely use him again for our plumbing needs and recommend him highly.

Honestly i was very hesitant in taking or accepting anyone from the net but after speaking with the owner personally i was assured all will be done professionally. The tech showed up not only on time but actually 10 min earlier and called when he was on his way to me . when he arrived he explained what my problems are and why the bathtub drain wasnt working and fixed all my plumbing bathroom issues withing a reasonable amount of time . his prices are very reasonable and i def would without any hesitations use him again and send him more business without any hesitation.

Outstanding worker and very reliable company, every time I call on him for a job he does not hesitate to show up, I had an emergence at night where I had no water because of a pipe damage from the outside. I called on Reyes FC Service and he was at my house after he bought the material to fix my problem. He left there almost midnight. This type of service is what someone will love to have when they call on a company. And this company definitely shows that type of service.

Truly excellent service, I couldn't be happier! From the moment my kit. sink began backing up I was dreading--not the repair process--but the process of finding a good, reliable & trustworthy repair man! I have an insane love of antiques & art; which I collect. So the idea of bringing a stranger in my home is HORRIFYING! However, when Rick, from AAA Sewer & Drain Specialists, arrived for my free estimate, I quickly felt relieved. He was clean-cut, well-spoken and seemingly very knowledgeable. I was ready to hire him based on those things alone; as the 3-other companies who came before him were either dingy (I couldn't even let that guy track his filth into my home to provide me with a quote!), sketchy &/or willing to tell me anything just to make a couple bucks! Rick quickly assessed the issue and was able to quote me a price that was very competitive, compared to all 3 of the other companies. The work that he did was no less impressive! Thank you Rick, for making me a believer that all service workers are not* shysters! :)

Ace Plumbing was exceptionally professional and competent. They responded promptly on a Saturday morning and arrived when they said they would. They fixed a blocked drain that 2 other plumbers were not able to fix in the past. Excellent work!

Eli responded to my request promptly by phone, gave me a quote and told me that he would be at my house to replace my hot water heater shortly. He arrived as promised, replaced my leaking hot water tank with a new one, and explained every question I had competently and courteously. The price quoted was as promised, plus some extras that I requested after he arrived. Eli had the lowest quote and the most rapid response of any of the contractors that I contacted. I would recommend him to anyone for his excellent service in every area.

They were fast, gave me warranty and solved my problem. I had the entire house clogged and they came out with in the hour and cleaned all the drain lines. Very professional, very knowledgeable and very reasonable on price especially when they give you warranty. I highly recommend them to my family and friends. If you want to solve your problem permanently call them they are great!

Hired for a shutter installation. Workers arrived and didn't not have the tools to install shutters. It was a rental property so the tenants actually had to help and provide the tools. Last minute job, not sure if fair price. The man I spoke with was super punctual, friendly and followed up if we needed the shutters taken down. Since it was a last minute job during the hurricane chaos, I would consider giving them a second chance.

I had a clogged main drain. RotoRooter came out and gave me an estimate of over $500. Marcin came to the house, was very prompt and professional and was half the price of the big company. He was very helpful, even pointing out future issues I may run into. He fixed everything took care not to scratch my wood floors with his heavy equipment and cleaned up. Highly recommended. .

Great response - John the head plumber and his team found the leak in our PVC drain pipe quickly and fixed it without hurting the integrity of the ground near the house. There was a huge tree root wrapped around the pipe that grew into a crack and blocked the sewage!

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What are plumbers and what do they do?

Plumbers are skilled professionals who are trained to install and maintain pipes and systems for drinking water, sewage and drainage. They usually have trained through four- to five-year training programs, which include apprenticeships, via trade schools and community colleges. Plumbers’ areas of expertise typically go beyond pipes to include mathematics, blueprint reading, plumbing codes and water distribution. They handle plumbing emergencies, such as broken pipes or clogged drains, and install and maintain everything from a new piping system to a replacement faucet. Plumbers also know how to install bathtubs and showers, toilets, water heaters and dishwashers. Plumbers may work on residential or commercial sites, sometimes designing and laying out a pipe system during construction.

How do you find a good plumber?

Whether you need a plumber to perform drain repair, install a new fixture, or replace rusty pipes, you need to make sure you hire someone reliable who will finish your job on time and within budget. Start by asking the plumbers on your short list these questions:

    • What is the total cost? Make sure your estimate includes materials and labor. Find out whether the plumber will be providing the materials and whether you’re being charged an hourly rate (which is variable) or a flat fee.
    • Is removal and cleanup included in the job? Some plumbers leave behind old parts, while others include the cleanup in the cost.
    • Is the work guaranteed? Find out whether the work (as well as the parts or fixtures) are guaranteed under a warranty.
