Guitar Lessons of Sarasota provides personalized lessons for electric, acoustic and bass guitar. Our number one concern is with all of our students' musical growth and customer satisfaction. The first meeting will give an opportunity to discuss the students current goals, musical background, interests, musical tastes and expectations of taking lessons. Then, from this information, we will seek to formulate a curriculum with each individuals goals and desires in mind.
Take lessons at your home via Skype or with house calls:
We provide you the option to take private, personal lessons from your own home's comfort. With our house calls option, we will go to your house in the Sarasota area, or go to you live over the internet anywhere in the world through Skype. Please contact us at the contact page for more information.

We seek to customize our bass and guitar lesson plans toward the students styles and goals, while still covering the foundational elements one requires to be a proficient player. Whether you want to face melting heavy metal guitar, or learn the blues, we want to formulate the proper curriculum to lead and instruct you down the musical path that you want.
Some examples of specific types of study we offer for six string and bass guitar are:
*Lead guitar for rock, blues or metal

Personal yet professional atmosphere:
For beginners, lessons once a week is recommended, although we view each student individually since everyone is different. Intermediate and advanced students, as well as very motivated beginners, may gain from bi-weekly lessons. These decisions are left up to the student, or their parents, and only under rare circumstances will we recommend that a student attend more than once a week. We do prefer that students attend at least once a week, especially for beginners, since the beginning stages are very important to developing a proper playing technique. Per week, we do not require a set amount of practice time, but we highly encourage practicing at the least three to four times each week. How fast the progress of the student is will really depend on how much practice and effort the student is willing to put in.
