FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I used to work at a big gym. They would charge members 55-65 for a half hour session. What they didn't know is that the majority of that goes back to the gym and not to the trainer. When you have that happen you have a trainer that is not motivated and that system doesn't work. independent trainers like myself are able to charge a lot less and give better results because we care more. One thing people need to take into consideration when we give quotes is equipment and no gym fees. Although we are able to charge less and have little or no overhead cost, we have to rent them gym we are using and part of the per session rate reflects that.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Everyone is different and I don't treat any two people the same. I'm there to help you hit your goals so whatever you need from me is what we are going to do. With that being said, ideally I like to start off by taking measurements. That means measuring your stomach, neck, chest, shoulders, arm, leg, hips. Then take your weight and body fat. Therefore we have our starting points. It helps down the road when your not sure if you're progressing, it holds you accountable, as well as when you see the numbers drop it keeps you motivated. After that we will discuss your goals. Put a plan together. And get started!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I chose them because it is supposed to be the hardest training certificate to obtain and if I am going to do this I want my clients to know that I know what I'm doing. I am also a certified fitness nutritionist and in the process of getting certified for MMA training and as a Golf Training Specialist
