Originally I paid for 4 tutoring classes for my college algebra class. But after the second class the sessions werent what I expected, Immediately I contancted Carl and he got back to me very shortly and was very understanding and professional. He also gave me full refund of the two classes I originally paid for as well. Overall great experience, will recommend to anyone in need of math tutor.

Jack has really benefited from working with Lenore over the past few months. She does a great job explaining the material to him and her positive attitude and positive reinforcement has helped Jack to build the confidence he needs to be successful at math.

Steeven is great at teaching Spanish. He involves the different cultures from Latin America and it is exciting to learn Spanish like that. He also tutors my daughters for math and I can see the difference since they started being tutored.

Ana tutored me when I was in high school struggling with intermediate algebra. She helped fix my misconceptions I had about math. Since I was weak with my fundamentals, I had a lot of questions pertaining to the class and general math laws. What separates Ana from others who excel in math, is she's able to teach math in an organized and consice way. Ana was able to slow down the information to where I was comfortable, but once I learned something she was sure to challenge me with problems that would be similar to problems on the test. Before Ana tutored me I was at a C but after weekly tutoring sessions I averaged a B+ in the class. If you are struggling in math or are striving for an A, I definetly recommend Ana as your tutor!

Joe is a true character. Incredibly witty, his dry humor and frankness is a welcome breath of fresh air in a current environment of adamant political correctness. Nevertheless, he is still sensitive toward one’s personal insecurities; moreover, he is transparent about his own. Make no mistake, however: as personable as he is, that is how adept he is at being a tutor. When he worked for EXCEL/COMPASS, a two year STEM program at the University of Central Florida (UCF) geared towards assisting freshmen and sophomores in their math and science courses, he was always accessible and PATIENT, regardless of his personal overall state. Be it Calculus, College Physics, or Organic Chemistry, he was ready to help any student out with a confused look on their face. But what I admired most about him is his “realness”. He didn’t forget that, as students, we were often short on time and so offered tons of quick techniques to get through the graded assignment at hand-without an ounce of judgement, ever. I was saddened when he left the EXCEL/COMPASS program, but confident that he will continue to deliver quality assistance to his future pupils.

Gita is providing ongoing math tutoring for my granddaughter. She is knowledge, patient and works well with my granddaughter. Its 2 months into the 2x week sessions, the student is more confident and looks forward to meeting Gita. I highly recommend her. It's also a plus that she tutors in our home.

My work stands out from all the others because I can go, for example, into a class I had taken over where students demonstrated their confusion, worries, concerns and frustrations about their inability to grasp the concepts of what was previously taught, I go in and spend a couple hours reteaching material and by the end of the class session their confidence of learning math has gone from zero to 70%. After the students take their first quiz during the following class, their excitement about math and feeling confident they can learn math goes from 0-100%.

I am creative in presentation. If a student doesn't understand one way of working a math problem, I try a different way. I also know how to connect my students' math to the real world. As students see the necessity of the math, they become more keenly engaged in the learning process.

I'm a bilingual (Spanish and English) and a certified CRLA tutor in mathematics and physics! I have about five years of experience in tutoring students of varied ages and levels. I have been told that I am good at explaining complicated (and even simple) material to people who feel like math and science are a completely different language! I have tutored and am tutoring in the following subjects: * High School and Developmental Level - Developmental Math I and II - Intermediate Algebra - Geometry - College Mathematics - Math for Liberal Arts * College Mathematics Level - College Algebra - Trigonometry - Precalculus - Calculus I (AB) - Calculus II (AB) - Calculus III (BC) - Differential Equations - Statistics My first session is free! This is a chance for me to evaluate where you are and how much time you will need with me. After that, depending on what level of math you're in, I charge between $25 to $35 per hour. If you need a tutor, do not hesitate to shoot me a text, email or call!

Heres the part where your math problem disappears! Most math tutors either help with homework or explain a particular idea. Thats not how I do it. I begin with assessing the student's background in math. This process helps me identify what causes his/her difficulties math, and then I create a plan particular to that student's needs. I also provide notes and practice worksheets. Once the learner obtains a strong foundation in math, he/she increases confidence in his/her math skill that allows him/her to hone new skills effectively.
