Had my first lesson with Mike today. He was a fantastic teacher and was very good at explaining the how to's and the whys. He was easy-going and really patient. He explained things with analogies that I could easily relate to. Scheduled my next lesson with him for next week and I am already looking forward to learning so much more. A great time for my first attempt at this wonderful but humbling game! Thanks Mike!Oct 31, 2018Verified

Thanks so much Steven. Really looking forward to our lesson on the 31st, and helping you claim back the trophy! Best wishes, Michael
Had my first lesson with Mike over the weekend for an hour. I was a bit skeptical because I’ve tried for years to fix my slice on the range without any success. Within 10-15 minutes after making a few slight changes to my grip and stance I was hitting the ball the way I knew I could. Looking forward to our next lesson(s). Don’t hesitate when you have an opportunity to learn from this guy.Oct 21, 2018VerifiedMike Riso Golf's reply

Hi Jody, thanks for giving me the opportunity to help you enjoy golf even more!
Mike is a real professional that loves his job. He is patient, relaxed and easy to understand when explaining different aspects of the game . I felt his personality and teaching of the game would be perfect for my wife who has never golfed and now she is taking lessons from Mike . I would recommend Mike to anyone interested in bettering their golf game.Dec 4, 2017VerifiedMike Riso Golf's reply
Thanks Steven, it's been a joy helping Cheree learn to love golf, and helping you get into the 80's consistently. Look forward to our next lessons.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing depends on the particular package you're interested in, and whether lessons are private, semi-private, or group classes. We also have special rates for juniors, starting at $25.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The most important step is our initial conversation to discover more about your game. From there, we can identify how long you've been playing, how frequently you golf, and where you're headed with your game.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? For ten years I owned and operated Swing In Time golf shop in Buffalo, New York. We specialized in professional instruction, and custom-fit golf clubs. Currently I'm in the PGA Professional Golf Management Program, which offers CEU's year-round. Have worked with The First Tee junior golf program, both as a coach and heading up a fundraiser. Also, ran the 2017 junior golf program at Clearwater Country Club. When instructing I often refer to the classic teaching books by Ben Hogan, Bobby Jones, Sam Snead, Paul Runyan, Walter Hagen, and also many of the present day teachers.
