Nightmare... Quoted for a 2 bedroom long distance move. First quote was for $600. After speaking with their specialist and answering all her questions the quote became $850 - which seemed reasonable so I booked them and paid in advance. I called two days before the move to verify that their truck would be big enough because we do have a lot of stuff in our home and garage. The specialist reconfirmed that it would be "no problem" that we were getting their biggest truck and I would be "taken care of". Day of the move a large uhaul truck shows up - 40 minutes after their 9-10 am moving time I was told. The crew was very upset when they realized that they had to drive the long distance (3 hours) and spent the next 20 minutes (on top of being late) arguing with the office about the drive and there not being enough money in the quote. Once they started looking at what needed moving they again became very concerned, this time that all my belongings wouldn't fit and had me call the office. They even took video and sent pictures to the office. I was very worried because I expected to move that day, the office told me to let them pack the truck because they were still sure it would fit, but if for some reason it all didn't fit they would just send another truck to move the balance another day. I was frustrated because I was assured that they had an adequate truck and now I was stuck with at least two days of moving and back and forth (3 hours one way) between the two homes -- had I any idea that they did not have the capacity to do what they promised I would have spent my money on another company. I was stuck with what they sent me because it was too late to get another company at that point and their promise to "take care of me" if it couldn't fit in one load eased my concerns about the balance of my belongings. We packed everything we could into the truck and left for our destination. The moving lead warned me when we were getting on the road that the truck and tires were in poor condition and he needed to drive it slow. Halfway to destination the truck blew a tire - rupturing the inside base of the truck and breaking some of my items. This was around 6 pm. The truck finally got to my new home around 1 am and with my help was unpacked by 2 am. I called the next day and verified that they would send me another truck to finish the move they contracted with me to do and we set it up for the next day. A new crew showed up the next day around 4:30 pm -- two hours late because they were finishing another job. I tried to be understanding, I just wanted my stuff moved. There wasn't that much stuff left and we were loaded in about 1 hour. We got on the road and I felt a bit of relief. After they stopped for dinner they finally made it to my home around 10:15 pm. With my help they were unpacked in 25 minutes. I was grateful it was finally over until they started demanding payment. Another $650?! This was coming from the same people who told me they were taking care of me for their mistake? The same office woman and even the owner Alex who told me their truck was big enough and then told me they would take care of me if the truck wasn't big enough. I lost a full day of unpacking because of their mistake, I spent fuel and time driving back and forth between the two homes because of their mistake, and I have broken possessions because of their poorly maintained truck. They demanded payment and told their crew to remain at my home until they got payment - even threatening to call the police on me for breach of contract if I didn't pay them right then. My wife and children were in our home sleeping. I couldn't believe it!! I really could not believe I had been so misled! This wasn't a company trying to do right by their customer -- this was a company who kept stringing me along with promises and then added insult to injury with last minute charges. I ultimately had to call the police to get them to leave and end the situation. This was a terrible experience.
