I hired Nuricproductions for my wedding Nov 12th 2016, and I am so pleased and impressed at the amazing job you did! The DJ was nice and dressed to impress, did an excellent job of getting everyone up and dancing or relaxed when needed and knows how to feel the room. We weren't very specific on our song choices for most of the evening... But it was perfect!! Everyone complimented me for choosing a good DJ. I'm very impressed, they went way above and beyond with lighting and photo booth! I will definitely hire you again, and have been referring people to Nuricproductions. Thank you so much!!

Paul is an expert in videography. I have a fairly large project that is quite complex and he was able to figure out how to connect all of the dots. His prices are extremely reasonable, he's responsive, creative and is an excellent person to work with on projects. I will be hiring him for more video work, real estate photography, web design and to configure audio and video for a project I'm working on. I'm so glad I've found my go to guy for everything techie. Give him a call, you will not be disappointed!

For our videography, we chose Since 1987 Films and I am so happy we did! Anthony and his team really exceeded our expectations! They were totally unobstrusive during the wedding, yet they managed to capture so many moments we had forgotten about in such a beautiful way. Our wedding trailer was the coolest 45 seconds we've ever seen!!!

Brandon was hired to do videography for my wedding. He was professional and knowledgable. I saw his previous work and based off that work I felt confident that hiring him I would get a good product and something that I could look back on BUT what I got was so much more!!! Brandon is very skilled and is more of an artist than anything; his eye for detail and editing skills made my video look as though it was a professional music video in fact that's exactly what it was a professional video. He is not an amateur and if you hire him you will be given a keepsake and an heirloom that you will pass down to your great great great great grandkids! I can not thank him enough. The whole wedding experience flies by so, the best decision you will make for you wedding is hiring Brandon so you can relive the experience over and over again.

That Guy Can Help not only scoped out our wedding venue a week prior, but also arrived an hour early to set up so he could be prepared for the day. He was extremely professional and captured moments of the day I would've never knew existed if it wasn't for him. The quality of work that he produces is undeniable. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to other people. Thank you That Guy Can Help!

Great pictures, my fiancee and I decided to get engaged and needed a photographer to film our special moment. Actually I should say that I decided to marry my girlfriend and she had no idea I was proposing. I hired ClearVU Photography with a special request, appear to be a tourist and take some secret pictures when I propose. They certainly delivered, they managed to keep out of site while we walked around the park, then got excellent pictures just as I got down on my knee. Christie's face was priceless when she saw the pictures later. I will definitely use ClearVU Photography for my wedding as well.

Ryan was a pleasure to connect with. He was professional, communicative and polite. Unfortunately, I had to cancel the job last minute but he was patient and understanding. I will without a doubt be working with him in the future if I find myself needing professional videography services in the Orlando area. Ryan, thanks again for everything! :)

Reid is a gifted photographer! He photographed my wedding and captured our special moments in a timeless way. I received so many compliments from family and friends about the pictures and Reid. His photos told the story of our day and my husband and I often look upon them with fond memories as he captured moments of emotion. From the burst of laughter when Craig made a joke about me eating the wedding cake during our private moment to my Uncle Sam trying to do a dance move at our wedding reception-I am amazed how Reid caught those special pictures that illustrate that amazing day! For the investment we made, the value far surpassed. I would not hesitate to invest with Reid again for another special event! ~D. McKenzie

Taylor was so much fun to work with for our engagement shoot. Getting pictures taken can be awkward and stage-y, Taylor was able to put us at ease and the pictures he got of us were natural and perfect. Looking forward to see what he captures at our wedding.

I’m always skeptical about getting pictures taken solely because of the fact that I’m not even remotely photogenic. My fiancée and I got engagement pictures in Hawaii by a different person and I looked absolutely horrible and was so nervous that my face and I would look dumb. BUT when we got married. Gisselle took our wedding pictures and it was amazing. She’s great to work with and will capture your amazing day exactly how you imagined. I’ve never met someone so excited about their job and she told us how she wanted us to pose along with whatever we wanted and the ideas we had. It was the best experience I’ve ever had. I would reccommed her for anything you need photographed. Thank you so much for everything and getting us the most amazing picture we can keep forever.

One of my best friends decided to get married in Disney. Her and her husband couldn't afford the videographer with all of the other expenses so myself and 2 of the other bridesmaids decided to try and get them one for a wedding gift. Being we are from NY and NJ, we had no idea how to get someone from Florida. I came across Thumbtack and within a few days booked Everton. Being how nervous I get about everything I had no idea if he would show up since I didn't know him at all outside of here. Turns out he was there before the groom even got to the ceremony. I told Everton how happy I was when I met him because you never know what will happen over the internet. At the reception the DJ couldn't even lead us in the Cha Cha dance so Everton soon became our entertainer too. Thanks again for that because you got everyone on the dance floor. At the end of the evening, the girls and I paid him in cash since we live in different states. We knew we should probably send a check later with all of the horror stories you hear but we figured he showed up so it can't hurt. Once again, Everton came through with a beautiful video. He captured all of the most treasured moments of my friend's wedding and compiled them in a beautiful, breath taking video. Everton saved the day. With his reasonable price and beautiful work I would definitely hire him again. Thanks for everything Everton....And for dealing with me :)

I couldn’t say enough about Madison. I hired her as a wedding gift. She went above and beyond my expectation. She captured elements of the wedding that we didn’t even notice and it made it that much more special. And I’ve never had a drone at a wedding, but it was the coolest thing ever! It hovered around the whole ceremony and captured the whole surrounding… Like a fly on the wall! It was like a Hollywood camera crew was on staff but with no distraction to the ceremony! Thanks for all the amazing pictures and video of this special day.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is a videographer and what do they do?

A videographer professionally films weddings and other events and edits the footage to create film keepsakes or marketing materials for their clients. Wedding videographers record all the key elements of your wedding day, ceremony and reception, and then edit the hours of film during post-production to make a wedding video, social media highlight reels, and any other film features you choose. Wedding videography captures, in live action, your vows, the cake-cutting, the first dance, reception toasts, the decor, the guests and all the details of your day. Many wedding videographers also interview guests (based on an interview list provided by the couple) and incorporate the recorded responses into the wedding video. Event videography typically costs less than wedding videography, as events are shorter with less detail. The national average cost for event videography is $500-$760, while the national average cost for wedding videography is $990-$1,260. A videographer usually does not need to be licensed, but it is important to confirm they have insurance and good standing in the business community, as well as good client reviews. A great majority of the work happens during post-production. The pros watch and blend together the hours of footage they took (sometimes from multiple cameras) to capture the story of your wedding day or event.

How do you choose a wedding videographer?

A wedding videographer will create a lifetime memory for you from edited video footage of your wedding day, ceremony and reception. Choosing a wedding videographer starts with looking online at portfolios of their past work. There’s no need to talk to anyone unless you love what you see. Next, make sure they have good reviews and past client experience; don’t be shy about asking for references if there aren’t any posted online. When you find someone who has a style you love, ask if they are available on your wedding day. If so, it’s time to talk pricing. Be clear about your maximum budget, and ask what kind of packages they offer. Pricing will depend on the number of crew needed for filming, the hours they are required to be onsite, post-production editing, and the length of the final product. Talk with several wedding videographers to get a feel for what prices are like in your region. Nationally, the average cost for wedding videography ranges between $990 and $1,260 per event. Once you agree on a product and have a plan, get everything in a written and signed contract. Clearly state the details of what is expected for your wedding day and from the final product. Be prepared to pay a deposit to reserve their services for the day, then pay the remainder upon receiving the video.

What should you ask your wedding videographer before hiring?

Finding the perfect wedding videographer doesn’t have to be stressful. Asking a few key questions upfront will help you find the right fit for your big day. Before talking with wedding videographers, research their work online. Look at their websites, business profiles and social media, and see what their finished wedding videos look like. If the style fits what you’re envisioning, it’s time to reach out. During initial contact, make sure you get along with the person. This is important since they’ll be interacting with you and your guests.

Your first question should be about their availability; there’s no point in going further if they’re booked on your wedding day. Ask to see references if they’re not readily available online. Next, it’s time to talk about money. Ask how they determine rates or what kind of packages they offer. When you settle on a rate and the services you want, make sure to have a written contract that outlines everything, including cost, length of time they film, what post-production will include, and when you can expect to receive the edited project.

How much is videography for a wedding?

Wedding videography is one thing many couples regret not paying for. It may seem like just another expense during wedding planning, but it’s really special to have a moving memory of your big day. The national average cost for wedding videography is $990-$1,260. Pricing can vary depending on wedding length, special film features, the amount of editing required, and how many videographers are needed to cover the event. Many videographers offer packages that provide different levels of service. A very simple wedding documentary could be $600 or more, while a full-scale cinematic experience involving multiple videographers could be $2,500 or more. Here’s an example of average package pricing:

    • Package 1: $1,400
      • Footage during and after the ceremony, including highlights requested by the couple.
      • Two cameras with audio equipment.
      • DVD including a 3- or 4-minute edit to a song of the couple’s choice and a 45- to 50-minute raw edit covering the entire event.
      • Recordings of guests’ good wishes to the couple.
    • Package 2: $1,800
      • Includes everything from Package 1, plus an additional videographer (2 total) and aerial videography.

When do you pay your wedding videographer and wedding photographer?

Most wedding videographers and photographers require a set deposit when you hire them. Wedding season is a busy time and a deposit secures that vendor’s services for your wedding date. It also protects the vendor if the couple changes their mind at the last minute, and they can’t find a new booking and lose work for the day. The deposit may be anywhere from 20 percent to  50 percent of the agreed-upon total price. Always get a written confirmation that your deposit has been received.

The remainder of the wedding videography and photography bill may be due in the week before to your wedding or on the day of the wedding. Other vendors may require a second payment immediately before the wedding and a third and final payment after the wedding video or photos are delivered. Each vendor has their own policies, so before hiring be sure to read, understand and agree to payment protocols. There is no requirement for tipping wedding videographers or photographers, but if you do want to tip them, the end of the reception is the appropriate time.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
