Hi, I’m Marissa – the heart and hands behind MaFa Sweets! I’m a passionate baker specializing in wedding and event desserts that are as stunning as they are delicious. From custom sugar cookies and large stuffed macarons to mini dessert tables and live donut-making stations, I bring creativity, flavor, and a seamless experience to every celebration.
After over 8 years in the restaurant industry—6 of those in management and general manager roles—I made the bold decision to leave the corporate world behind and pursue my true passion: baking. I built MaFa Sweets from the ground up with the goal of creating high-quality, handcrafted desserts that make celebrations more meaningful, memorable, and sweet.
I understand the importance of precision, time management, and smooth coordination during events, and I bring that same level of professionalism to every order. I also believe deeply in food quality—I don’t cut corners. Every treat is made from scratch using premium ingredients, thoughtful techniques, and a whole lot of heart.
Even as a cottage baker, I follow strict food safety practices. In my former leadership roles, I guided teams through successful health inspections and earned gold ratings for cleanliness and food safety from corporate evaluators—standards I continue to uphold in my own kitchen.
