I didn’t know what to expect with asking a dog trainer to help me out with my big boy, but Andrea exceeded any expectation I had. She gave valuable assessments and suggestions that have so far turned my dominant bullheaded Great Dane mix into a more well rounded, submissive pup. It’s not just about training the dog, but about re-training the people who care for the dog. Can’t wait to have her back to see our progress and to receive more guidance!!

Whitney came to my home for a training session with my puppy. I am very pleased with her knowledge and patience. A wealth of information. Looking forward to working with her over the next few months.

Karyn is one of the top trainers I have worked with. My shephard mix pup Anya and I have graduated from puppy 1 class, and have begun level 2 puppy. She is very knowledgeable in every area that has been brought up in class, and in specific issues that come up with my Anya. We hope to become a therapy dog team, and Karyn's training methods are not forceful, or strict dominance methods that instill fear. Her methods are upbeat and fun for handler and dog, and deliver amazing results. Karyn has a natural way with dogs, and a true love for all of them. I cannot recommend a better trainer for both handler and dog!

Eva trained our 4 month old pitbull, Zoey. In two weeks she accomplished the impossible. Zoey came to her not even knowing the most basic of commands. Zoey can now not only perform basic commands but also some more advanced ones. More importantly Eva helped her to develop the needed discipline and foundation for further training. She accomplished all of this with positive reinforcement and a great deal of needed patience. I highly recommend her to anyone needing dog obedience training in their family.

Deborah & Cliff are very professional and have worked miracles with my two 6 month old GSD. In one session they were different dogs and as training progressed they have become the companions I was wanting. I would recommend Deborah for any type of dog training. She is excellent!

Sit Means Sit Jacksonville is an amazing family to be a part of. I first met Amber at a Dog Wood Park Event, I informed her of the issues I was having with my dog Calypso and she was eager to help. I first started training Calypso at Petsmart doing the Beginner, Intermediate, Advance classes, and Canine Good Citizen test, which Calypso passed. After a while my husband and I got discouraged due to the fact we didn't like having to walk around with treats in our pocket in the hot Florida weather. As well as Calypso started having "selective hearing", which was not acceptable and in return I felt that the next step was to buy an e collar at petsmart. I used it and it worked ok for a while but I was not using it properly so she started having "selective hearing" even while wearing the e collar. I was wanting to work on strengthening basic commands and recall, as well as start working on off leash distance training. Amber offered a free in home evaluation so she could see my crazy Doberman in action. What first caught my attention was that Calypso walked right up to her and leaned on her, slid down, and showed Amber her stomach. A little information about Calypso, she doesn't do this with just anyone, for her to do that with in a few minutes of Amber being in our house was amazing. After going through the evaluation and with Ambers help we decided the next step in Calypso's training was to do in home training and group classes with Sit Means Sit Jacksonville. I loved the in home one on one training because I was able to continue to bond with Calypso and learn with her. After just a few home sessions we were invited to group class. I love the group class aspect of training because it is training out and about with distractions that you cannot always control. With Amber there it made it easy because she could tell us how to work around the distraction if we weren't successful the first time. I also like group because all the dogs there are trained by Sit Means Sit Jacksonville and it is in a controlled environment with the trainer. I also like group because in the past I have taken Calypso to the dog park and just about every time she was attacked. One of the times she was attacked so badly she had 3 layers of stitches. So with group I am still able to socialize her and not worry about the other dogs attacking and the owners not paying attention because we are all there for the same purpose. Which is training and having fun out and about with our dogs and other people. Like I stated earlier, Sit Means Sit Jacksonville is an amazing family to be a part of. I am glad we choose Sit Means Sit Jacksonville Dog Training and highly recommend them.

I brought my dog, Ella, to Waylon for e-collar training in spring of 2011. Ella is a hound-mix that I adopted from a rescue. Since she was a puppy, she has had problems with obedience, major food aggression issues and running away. I had taken her through multiple obedience training, agility classes and had her go through a 6 week training with Jana Logghe to work on these issues. She came out of the 6 week training a completely different dog! She no longer had food aggression problems and she actually started listening to us when we gave her commands. However, when we let her outside, her nose took over, and she would run and not come back. We decided to bring Ella back to Northwoods Animal Learning Center and have her e-collar trained with Waylon. I can’t even begin to describe how amazing the e-collar has been for us! Waylon did a fantastic job training Ella. Ella was a dog that could never be off leash, ever. She constantly had to be watched. After e-collar training, we can let her outside, whether we are out there or not, and she stays in the yard! When we call her she comes right away. If she does start to wander away and doesn’t come when we call, all she needs is a quick reminder buzz from the e-collar, and she is on her way back to us. E-collar training has been the best training for our dog. We considered other alternatives, like an invisible fence, but we didn’t want to go that route, because it wouldn’t teach Ella to stay with us when we go for walks, or take her to someone else’s house. We wanted a solution that would be permanent and would teach Ella to listen and not run away from us. I would definitely recommend Waylon to teach your dog e-collar training! I can not say enough times how wonderful this experience was for us. We have a changed dog!

Anne Baxter diagnosed my dog's problem and immediately started addressing it. The four weeks stay with her has made a very visible change in him. He's gone from his last chance to being a good dog. Now it's going to be up to me to maintain discipline and make sure I stay with the lessons that Anne is teaching me. I definitely recommend Anne and her staff if you have a dog that needs training. I first met Wally and Edith in April of 2013 when I began attending basic obedience class with my Weimaraner puppy (Oliver). I have been attending class between one and two times a week since then. Oliver has been boarded with Wally and Edith on three occasions. The first time was in the summer of 2013 for approximately 50 days while I was studying law in France. The second and third times were after that for about 5 days each time. Wally and Edith are the only people I will trust Oliver with, aside from his vet. Wally and Edith have many students and EVERY student that I have met over the last year, has the upmost respect and admiration for them. Additionally, Oliver has made monumental strides in terms of obedience. As a result, Wally and Edith have helped me develop and strengthen my relationship with him. I encourage you to visit their website and visit one of their classes if you have any questions as to the quality of training that Wally and Edith provide.
