Epic fail and bait and switch. The beginning seemed great. There was responsiveness and follow up. Once the job was paid for and defects were discovered and shared, service level was the complete opposite. Missed appointments, running late with no prior notice or updates, excuses and lack of corrective action. His crew also broke my cable line when doing the work resulting in lack of cable/Internet until the service provider came to fix -then there was denial that it was his team although no one else had been on the property during the installation of plants. Workers gloves were left laying in the grass, pavers I had were moved out of the way but not put neatly aside, the chocolate mulch installed was poorly done -basically a bag drop with no barrier promoting a proliferation of weeds and grass through the mulch, some plants started dying already and one was lopsided. Finally the communication devolved into the merchant blasting Thumbtack for fees he has to pay to communicate (how is that my problem?) and also cursing on site during the only post-installation appointment telling me -a professional client- that my lawn was an 'effing mess'. Had to fire and accept sunk cost as money paid was not for installation but also for follow up and plant warranty. Oh -I was also told by the merchant that they did a lot for me for free when I actually didn't ask for any favors and signed DocuSigned invoices with line items clearly outlined. I had other persons who do landscaping look at the job and separately agree that I was misled and that the job was poorly done. Skip.
