I had a tight deadline to update an old resume and revamp my skills. Michelle was very responsive and professional. We worked back and forth between our busy schedules and whe made it work. She not only provided me with an updated resume, but 4 alternatives and looked at my coverletter. Michelle's deliverable was on time and of high quality. Thank you - I highly recommend hiring Measured Lives Coaching.

They've done everything, they gave me business coaching, built the website from scratch, set up my company pages on LinkedIn, Google+, Facebook, Twitter, etc. did all the advertising online. From A-Z, they helped with every aspect of my business launch. Brendan has business knowledge that goes from here to infinity, and I'd recommend Crescent Group Consulting to any business owner.

Halston really has made a change for the better since meeting him. He is very knowledgeable about his field of work and strives to learn more and grow within in it for himself and his clients. I am not going to lie it was hard at first having to make that lifestyle change for myself and I slip up here and there. But overall he has helped better myself and help me meet my goals. He isn't just there for the money he genuinely cares about his clients and what their needs are. He pushes you to your full potential in a great way, works with you on any subject from your diet, your form, etc. Overall he is a 5-Star Personal Trainer and you should give him a call you not be disappointed

Lewis is an exceptional and very knowledgable coach. I'm particular about who coaches me because it's hard to find someone who genuinely cares about my goals and the safety of my body in accomplishing those goals. I had hit a plateau and it was pretty hard for me to gain lean muscle mass, until I came across Lewis! I call him a ' Body Chemist' because he can figure out the problem, solve it, and create a new, much healthier me! I'm thankful to have found Lewis and since I've been working with him, i feel confident, clean and look amazing. If there is any trainer/ coach I would recommend, it's Lewis and I will continue to be a loyal client :)

I meet the first day with my trainer Coach Tyler and we discussed the various injuries and problems I have. He said that he could work with me and that we could find something that would fit my needs. During the period I had been sending emails to find out about the various programs. I am a disabled Vet. Low income and have various physical problems I meet both the owner and my Coach today and did a routine that will fit what I need. They are very supportive and they will work with you. They are not there to hurt but to encourage and help. I would suggest anyone to call and go visit them. I have the routines I can do at my gym as well. Thanks to you all

Tony Beers has been my personal trainer for over 8 years. I work out with Tony at the gym 2-5 times a week. Tony is well trained, a listener, honest, straight forward, and caring individual. he designs workout programs and healthy habits (diet, sleep, attitude) based on an individual's needs. He will help you set your goals and attain them. Over time and with age my workouts have changed but I have maintained my health in spite of aging. I highly recommend Tony with no reservations. Tony is well liked, respected and knows most everyone. He is flexible and will meet you, even in your home, to train you at almost any time. my typical workout begins at 6 am. Dr. John Copland

John B. is an excellent personal trainer. He took his time with me and explained what we were going to do to help me reach my goal for a healthier lifestyle. He took me step by step through each exercise that we did. He made sure I was comfortable and not straining my body during the workout. He answered all my questions professionally and was also kind as well. I would recommend him to anyone!

Working with Barry has been outstanding. Not only have I seen great results but have learned a great deal about body mechanics and progressive resistance. I have learned more from Barry than all of the other books, magazines and consultants combined. The results I have achieved have been surprising and amazing. I have been able to consistently increase the weight I lift at every session and have quickly gained muscle at a faster pace than I thought possible. Everyone thinks that in order to make quick progress one has to have a dedicated daily P90x like work out that leaves you feeling beat up afterwards. With Barry's plan of work, rest and recovery I have never felt beat up and have seldom felt post workout soreness. Barry is also able to coach you on diet modifications if needed. He is a very positive person who's goal is for his clients to see results. I unhesitatingly recommend him to all of my friends that are serious about getting in shape.

Christina is an experienced & knowledgable personal trainer/coach. My experiences training with her have provided rewarding results. I've seen noticeable improvements in my strength and endurance. She caters to individual needs and trains at a manageable pace while providing motivational guidance. It's difficult to come up with any areas to improve on, but she could incorporate more warm up and cool down stretching exercises. This is something she would definitely work into training upon request. Overall, I'm very happy with my experiences training with Christina.

I'm in my early 50s, strive to stay fit, while dealing with lingering strains and injuries. Griff has designed (and continuously updates) a functional training program for me that is tailored for my needs. He pushes me, keeps me fit, but has helped me address my injuries. He is constantly tweaking my work outs to keep things new and help me improve. He is a smart, thoughtful trainer who makes your fitness goals his top priority. Griff is an advanced fitness expert, coach and mentor. The best trainer I've ever used. I highly recommend him to anyone who is serious about their fitness goals and looking for a personalized approach to working out.

I had and continue to have a great experience with Melvin as my Personal Trainer. In under 3 months I safely lost 30 pounds and throughout the year I’ve added back almost 20 pounds of muscle while cutting my body fat nearly in half. Numbers aside, Melvin wrote programs to fit my goals, my body, and everything in my sessions was placed there for the purpose of reaching those goals and I couldn’t be happier about that level of detail and personalization.    With Melvin’s coaching I continue to be amazed at the progress I’ve made. In fact, my confidence inside and outside of the gym has greatly increased. Sessions are fun, informative, and accomplishments are recognized and celebrated.

I have known Vicky both professionally and personally for over 17 years. I recommend her to all of my colleagues who are looking for career/life coaching. Her extensive history within the corporate environment makes her a natural fit for understanding and navigating the complexities of a Fortune 500 environment. She has many intangibles, including her ability to make you feel comfortable with discussions on your professional and personal challenges. However, her straight-forward approach makes for the perfect partner for solid professional growth, and personal stability (sanity) in challenging times. She is outstanding at helping you visualize and document optimal paths forward, and has been a driving force in my career progression, solving workplace challenges and personal glide path. Although my needs might be different than others who might be looking for assistance in this area, I am confident in my recommendation of Jacksonville Executive Coaching and Vicky Sydorowicz.

Alex has been wonderful to work with from the beginning. I’ve been with him 7 months and my strength and endurance has increased. My biggest reason with working with Alex was to focus on form and injury rehab. Alex listened to my limitations and is great about focusing specifically on helping my injured area without causing any new injuries. I’m in a much better spot now than I was after months of physical therapy before Alex. Alex is very knowledgeable with the workouts he has me do and why and explaining what each excersise is for. Alex helps push me further than I thought I could go sometimes. Alex is great about mixing it up and I’ve never done the same workout twice in 7 months. It never gets boring! Alex is punctual and organized and easy to work with but also understanding if something comes up. As a lifestyle client I highly recommend working with Alex if you are looking for a knowledgeable trainer that’s easy to work with!

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

      What is a life coach?

A professional, accredited life coach works with people to help them make important changes in their life, either growing in their profession or changing gears in their personal lives. They help clients turn their dreams or wishes into realistic, attainable goals. They guide people through the process of making life changes by helping them evaluate the steps they must take to reach a particular goal, then help them decide how — and whether — to take those steps in the most efficient, effective and rewarding way possible. A life coach acts as a motivator, strategist and accountability partner. Unlike a therapist, a life coach doesn’t help solve problems from your past — they’re focused on helping you move forward with new ways of acting and thinking that will help you reach your goals. Some people specialize in particular types of life coaching, including life balancing coaches, small business coaches, executive coaches and personal finance coaches. Some meet clients in person, while others hold consultations over the phone.

Regardless of which type of life coach you’re interested in, make sure the person holds an International Coach Federation (ICF) credential. There are three tiers of credentials: Associate, Professional and Master, which require coaching experience ranging from 100 hours to 2,500 hours.

      What is a health coach?

A health coach is a service provider you can hire to help you realize your wellness goals. You can hire a health and wellness coach to guide you through life changes, keep you focused on weight loss or fitness goals, help boost your mental health, and more. Many health coaches work with their clients for set periods of time as the client moves toward a measurable goal. Wellness coaches come from varying backgrounds, and may have different areas of focus depending on their education and training. Research potential coaches by reading their reviews, researching their academic and personal backgrounds, and learning about any certifications they have earned from coaching institutes. Often, health and wellness coaches sell coaching packages ranging from three to six months or longer, depending on the client’s needs. The average national cost for an individual health coach session ranges from $60 to $90, although prices may range as low as $30 or up to $130 or more, depending on your location and the coach.

How much does a life coach cost?

A life coach helps clients set and reach professional and personal goals, develop positive habits, and deal with stress. Some people meet with a life coach once or twice, while others form an ongoing professional relationship, meeting regularly in person or on the phone. The average national cost to meet with a life coach ranges from $80 to $130 an hour. Some coaches offer per-session pricing, especially for one-time meetings; expect to pay an average of $100-$125. People who want to work with a coach over a period of time to explore life transitions, career growth or lifestyle changes may be able to get discounted pricing in a package. For example, three 60-minute sessions cost an average of $300, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $350, and four 60- to 90-minute sessions plus unlimited contact between sessions cost an average of $400. Some specific types of coaching, such as relationship or marriage coaching, cost more than standard life coaching. For instance, three 60-minute relationship coaching sessions cost an average of $500, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $550, and six 60- to 90-minute sessions cost an average of $650 when purchased as a package. Training and experience can also affect the cost of hiring a life coach. An Associate Certified Coach, who holds a certification that requires only 60 hours of training and 100 hours of coaching experience, will charge less than a Master Certified Coach, who typically has at least 200 hours of training and 2,500 hours of coaching experience.

What is a holistic wellness coach?

When you want to reach new heights with your health and wellness, consider hiring a holistic wellness coach. Much like a health coach, a holistic wellness coach is focused on your well-being and meets with you in one-on-one sessions to help you identify and reach your targeted goals. A holistic wellness coach will typically have you take all components of your life into account when working to achieve your goals. If your goal is to lose weight, a holistic wellness coach will not only offer recommendations for your diet and exercise, but also discuss your emotional health, your work/life balance, your spiritual side, and each area of your life that affects your ability to follow a nutrition and fitness plan.

Although they are highly motivational and often can help clients achieve great results, holistic wellness coaches are not professional health care providers or registered dietitians. Different institutes and training centers provide certifications for holistic wellness coaching, so be sure to research your coach and read their reviews to understand more about their techniques and training.

      Why get a life coach?

People of all ages and in all careers have called in a life coach. Life coaches are accredited professionals who can help you figure out the tangible changes you can make in your life to reach your goals; they can even help you turn your dreams into goals, if you’re not sure where to go next. A life coach can also help people find their purpose in life. Life coaching clients often have an idea of what they want to do, such as help people or work with animals, but don’t know how to turn that passion into a career. A life coach can help clients work through the options to find a clear path with concrete steps that lead to an attainable goal. A life coach can also help clients make a major career change, such as starting a new business. Life coaches can help clients develop better habits that will make them more successful, acting as an accountability partner. Life coaches also often guide their clients through major transitions in life, such as a career change or other stressful situations that are made easier with guidance from a neutral third party.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
