Outstanding tutor! I wish I had found Dr. Lunsford earlier on in my Calculus I class, but nonetheless the couple of sessions we had together in preparation for my final exam made the difference! I received an A on the final thanks in large part for his expertise in breaking down a few difficult concepts I had been hung up on. Dr. Lunsford is extremely knowledgeable, professional and takes the time to ensure I understand the underlying principles behind the calculations. He has a very intuitive sense of explaining things from different angles so that the student is able to tackle a wide variety of problems. If you are looking for a math tutor, please stop your search right here and give Dr. Lunsford a call. He will exceed your expectations! I will be utilizing him again when I begin my calculus II class and look forward to the sessions!
Perry is a great tutor! He has really made math a lot easier to understand and is definitely worth the money.
Gail is very patient and will help build your confidence as well as your grammar. I definitely recommend Gail regardless of your current level of speaking, reading, writing.
My son, Bobby, absolutely hated math, and didn't even want to go to school! I didn't know what to do! Then, a friend recommended Jennifer at Seeds of Knowledge Tutoring. Bobby and I both loved her! We went to her house for 2 hour sessions. (Jennifer even has a little couch where parents can wait and read, or whatever, while she tutors the children!) Within a couple of sessions, Bobby was LAUGHING!! Now he LOVES math! His teacher says that he is doing MUCH better! We were THRILLED with the help that our son received!
Meg has been instrumental in helping my 9 yr old & 11 yr old improve their math, reading & test taking skills. She is great at tailoring the sessions to each child's needs. She is always flexible with scheduling. She has helped my kids realize their strengths & also to not be afraid of their opportunities. My kids love their time with Meg & always look forward to it. I would highly recommend her.
*** A Life Saver *** Long story short; my Previous Tutor cancelled on us at the last min and I needed a Tutor for the ACT College Exam for my son and Fast. I sent out a desperate plea for help on Thumbtack and I was not interested in " Online Tutors", as they were the only ones available since the ACT & SAT test were a few weeks away. Marlene responded to my Request within a hour and said she would be more than happy to help my son. She was able to squeeze him into her schedule and help. I was so relieved and thankful. After talking to her on the phone we manage to arrange a schedule that would work for both of us. Marlene specializes in ACT/SAT college entrance exams and met us at our local library . After a brief in person interview, she started promptly working with my son. Marlene knew exactly how to work with him; he is a 12th grader and will be applying to college this school year. After their session, we discussed what he learned. It was the first time I have ever seen him so excited about Math before. He told me how Marlene showed him shortcuts, and other tricks to find the answers to the questions on the test. I was impressed by his enthusiasm and would highly recommend Marlene as a tutor. She is very pleasant, well prepared, smart, and knows how to motivate a child. Thanks again Marlene !! Ken B
My son had fell behind in third grade and we were seeking a tutor that would help catch him up and prepare him for the fourth grade. Hiring Kati from Bullseye Learning was a God sent. Not only has my son excelled in fourth grade courses, he has also gained confidence and skills sets, I feel he would not have gained in a normative classroom. So we decided to hire her full-time. I am both relieved that my son is learning by leaps and bounds and grateful for the commitment that Kate at Bullseye Learning has displayed in her efforts in educating of my son. Thanks-Bullseye
It’s been a great experience. I feel like I am really starting to get some results and I’m having fun too!
Excellent one on one communication and connection with students. Very knowledgeable of subject matter and teaching methods.
Frank is a wonderful tutor! I really needed help writing a paper for one of my English classes, specifically with structure and concluding a paper. When Frank and I met he was right on time, which showed me he cared and was professional. Through the tutoring session, I learned so many things about writing a paper that I never knew. He helped me to feel confident about what I was writing. I definitely would refer him to anyone.

I am most concerned about where the student is coming from. It is vital to speak on equal footing with them; I have seen, from both sides, the effects of a patronizing attitude upon students. We are all human and must admit to errors.
I am tutoring foreign languages: Spanish, English, and French. I help students with their homework. I have a big experience teaching foreign language in all levels. My last experience was in a high school, teaching Spanish and French.
