Introduction: My name is Monika. I'm a Pro Certified makeup artist, certified bridal makeup artist, lash extension artist, hairstylist and educator. I wear many hats!
I began having a fascination for beauty and fashion at a very early age. I started modeling, instructing makeup and etiquette courses at a local modeling agency for many years. Having that passion and desire to learn, I enrolled in a fashion marketing school and later a makeup academy in which I worked for almost three years. I have been in the beauty industry since 2008. I had the opportunity there to become a makeup assistant by working side by side in projects, photoshoots, runway, events, and more with well-known makeup artists in South Florida and Estee Lauder regional artists.
Years after, I worked in retail with a variety of brands such as SHISEIDO, DIOR, TOO FACED, SAINT JANE, NARS, MERIT BEAUTY, ELIZABETH ARDEN, KOSAS, LAWLESS, TRISH MCEVOY, to name a few. I continued to have a need to elevate my artistry more, so I joined SEPHORA for 7 years. There, I had an extensive product knowledge, managed the makeup studio, coached, instructed makeup courses, mentored my fellow artists and coworkers, and had the chance to travel in some areas of the United States for Senior Artistry and elevated brand trainings. I also had the opportunity to teach at makeup seminars with COSMIX MAKEUP SCHOOL.
I customize every appointment to the client’s features, not to just what’s in style today. The goal is to ENHANCE, my client's natural beauty and attend to their needs.
I’m very personable. I enjoy getting to know my clients and them getting to know me. Makes work not feel so much like work, and it also builds a comfort and trust level clients enjoy and feel comfortable with.
