- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Professional planning fees apply to all customized itineraries. Most custom itinerary planning begins at $300, with the exact fee based on the type of trip, number of travelers, complexity, and departure timeframe. Customized, full service itineraries require a minimum trip budget of $5,000, excluding planning fees. Most international and multiple destination journeys begin at $10,000 or more, depending on the destination, trip length, and travel style. Hotel only reservations do not have a minimum trip budget. Clients may choose between a fully customized itinerary or a simpler travel quote, depending on the level of planning and support needed. Your planning fee covers the consultation, destination and supplier research, itinerary design, booking coordination, and management of the confirmed trip components included in your selected service. Custom travel planning involves much more than making reservations. It requires research, logistical coordination, supplier communication, and continued management before departure. Planning fees are nonrefundable if the trip is canceled or you decide not to move forward with booking. Your exact fee and service inclusions will be reviewed before the planning process begins, so you will know what to expect before moving forward.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin with a 20 minute phone consultation to discuss your destination, dates, budget, travel style, priorities, and vision. Once you complete the planning agreement and credit card authorization form, your planning fee is processed and work begins. I then create a personalized itinerary using my firsthand experience and trusted supplier relationships. Most proposals are delivered within one week and include a personal video walkthrough of my recommendations. Your service includes up to three revisions. A new destination or major change to the trip requires a new itinerary fee. After you approve your selections and provide written authorization, I book the selected components and organize your travel information in one place. Before departure, you receive preparation emails, final documents, and destination guidance. Additional calls, special arrangements, concierge services, and extended support are available through the optional VIP service.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I combine professional training, trusted industry relationships, and extensive firsthand travel experience. I am an ASTA Verified Travel Advisor, Certified Travel Associate, and CLIA Accredited Cruise Counselor. I have also been recognized among Nexion Travel Group’s Top 5% of advisors through its Circle of Excellence for three consecutive years. I complete ongoing destination, hotel, cruise line, and supplier training and regularly attend industry conferences, ship inspections, and travel partner events. Having traveled to more than 65 countries across all seven continents, I bring practical insight into the destinations and experiences I recommend.
