My teaching philosophy is teaching students vocal technique while having an appreciation for all styles of vocal music. My goals as a teacher include helping young students prepare for college music departments, competitions, musical groups or any other music programs. I find it very important that music theory is to be taught as well to develop an independent music student. Please check my website for a sample syllabus at the "STUDIO" Page.

I am an independent music instructor who is based out of Winter Park, Florida. In addition to being a working actor, I have taught voice and piano for nearly 20 years, with the goal of helping each student discover his or her inner voice through strong technique as well as connection with the material, ranging from classical art song to contemporary musical theater. At the moment I do not offer group lessons, but rather private, one-on-one vocal and piano instruction. For piano, I will consider students as young as five, however, vocal students must be at least 13 years of age. Please fill out the questions provided as completely as possible. Thanks for checking me out!

I have 13 years of teaching experience with countless references and successful students. I have worked in music studios as a producer and a musician-for-hire. I have been trained in Italian opera of "bella canto" for years by the world-touring lead singer of the band Dishwalla. I have produced, written, and recorded seven albums, where I do all instruments. I approach teaching in a hands-on way instead of learning from a workbook. I teach young children all the way up to senior citizens. I teach piano, guitar, voice, drum, and bass lessons. If you're serious about learning quick and efficient technique and theory, contact me.

  • Concordia Arts

As a teacher, I focus equally on formal technique and personal expression. Mastering correct form provides the foundation, upon which a student's capacity for the latter may grow. I view our time together as an opportunity to encourage musical and personal growth. My goal is to encourage discipline while fostering creativity. Maintaining the student's interest by adapting my teaching methods to every individual is an important focus, as is engaging the student by allowing him/her choice in the material we learn in lessons. This not only facilitates a cooperative environment, but also allows me to tailor my teaching style to the student's interests, strengths, and learning preferences. My tuition for private instructions are as follows: * 30 minutes for $25 * 45 minutes for $37.50 * 60 minutes for $50 I believe music theory is an important focus for a student to understand how tones relate to each other in any piece of music. These relationships will be explored aurally, visually, and tactilely in all lessons. In teaching, my goal is to encourage students to learn and grow independently. In my studio (or your home), mistakes are opportunities for improvement. For the duration of our lesson, you (or your child) are in a nurturing zone of freedom of expression. Join me in an exploration of personal talent and creativity.
