Getting engaged was so exciting but planning a wedding seemed overwhelming! I didnt know where to start and I work full time. I was so relieved when a friend recommended Weddings by Lydia. Lydia and Donnette were so supportive and knowledgeable and were lots of fun, too! Lydia came with me to meet the vendors she recommended to discuss the ideas I had for my wedding. She stayed in touch with me on a regular basis to update me and to answer my questions. My mother loved the wedding reception because she was able to visit with family and friends while Weddings by Lydia had everything under control. Our corporate event was a fantastic success! Our goal was to impress our clients while having a great time and we definitely achieved that goal. We had a great turnout and our clients were very complimentary of the special touches our corporate event planner, Weddings by Lydia, included. What a great experience! Weddings by Lydia was there for me every step of the way. They set up all the vendor appointments, which saved me so much time. They also made sure the rehearsal, ceremony and reception went off without a hitch. Their follow up was great and they never seemed bothered by my frequent phone calls. We got so many compliments on the wedding and I gave Lydias name to 2 of my friends who are getting married next year. Thanks so much for all your hard work! Lydia is an excellent coordinator. My daughter really enjoyed meeting Lydia to talk to her about the wedding ideas she had, Lydia listened to all her ideas and she was very polite about giving my daughter her ideas. Lydia will answer any questions that you may have, and she calls you back in a timely manner,if not right away. Lydia goes out of her way to work with her clients to make sure you get what you want for your special day. A joy working with her! Gail

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I'm an organizer and very creative with so many unique ideas. I love working with the public and have done that my entire career. The idea of putting on a production, whether it is a wedding ceremony/reception or engagement party gets my adrenaline going and seeing it through to the end is a fabulous feeling of accomplishment. Delivering a dream wedding for my client is so gratifying and doing it as a career is so exciting!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish they knew how much I love my profession! I get so much satisfaction from planning an exciting and customized dream wedding or a unique special event. I put a great deal of time and effort into "listening" to the needs of my clients, which is the most important part of planning. I have so much fun doing what I do and want my clients to have fun, too!
