I spoke with Dennis extensively before my first lesson and he assured me that he would be able to teach me how to play guitar. Dennis informed me that I would know the fret board and would know a song by the end of my first lesson. He asked me to give him eight lessons and he would prove to me that he can teach me to play the guitar. I was very hesitant in hiring Dennis because of all the past experiences I have had with other instructors. So, I decided to give Dennis a shot at this challenge. Dennis will be my final guitar instructor. If he can't teach me no one can. I have had 6+ guitar instructors since I started playing and taking guitar lessons as a New Year's resolution in 2016. I have struggled in this journey and I started to think that maybe playing guitar just wasn't for me. The time and money I was spending with other instructors and saw no progression was making me think this way. I have been playing and taking lessons for over a year now and still do not know one complete song from beginning to end. I have always wanted to play the guitar and want to possibly make this a second income source by playing for the public. Dennis arrived at my home for my first lesson this past Tuesday. He introduced himself and is very laid back and friendly but professional. We immediately went to work and he informed me again of what we were going to accomplish in that first lesson. That is exactly what happened! By the end of my first lesson I knew the fret board and learned how to play the song Knockin on Heaven's Door. He taught me more in the first hour than other instructors did in several lessons. I felt like a weight had been lifted off of me, because he made me feel like I can accomplish this journey of learning to play the guitar. Dennis does charge a higher price per lesson then any of my other instructors and his technique is wellworth it! Especially when you are in the comfort of your own home and who doesn't already feel comfortable with where they live? I know that I have only had one lesson with Dennis but he is encouraging and has excited me again about playing the guitar. Dennis delivered what he said he was going to do and that means a lot to me! As I told Dennis in one of our initial conversations, he will be my last guitar instructor. Because he will either teach me or guitar really isnt for me...
I learned a lot very quickly with Brendon's help. He helped me with practicing how to read music, learning how to play each note, understanding how to read a guitar tab and even taught me how to play parts from songs I chose. Working with him was really beneficial to me in learning guitar.
Ryan is easy to work with, very personable and has an extensive background knowledge of guitar. The lessons are fun.
Rob does a great job making my bass lessons fun and engaging, and is great at matching the material to the individual student. I really like that he writes things down for you to reference later and answers questions well. He's definitely taken the intimidation out of learning an instrument. Overall, he's very professional and is a teacher I'd recommend to anyone.
Couldn't be happier with my first guitar lesson. He based the lesson on my skills and song wishes not some pre made curriculum! Really enjoyed it!
carl is a nice guy. He plays verbatim his resume. He comes from a place of classical study and this is his offer to any student who desires the ability to play guitar. I think his genius playing ability built through laborious years of technique and nuance are also his restriction for he only holds court in this arena. (i.e classical, flamenco, ragtime, jazz). These are abilities that are important and through the journey of attaining this sound in your resume, you may find yourself flourishing in other areas in life as well. You may also find yourself building a wall so insular that you can only relate to ghosts of strings past. Carl may not be for me because my journey on guitar, though littered with cob webs, is not paved in high society ethos and arduous hours of technique in pursuit of a classical idiom; however, Carl and his knowledge of the latter mentioned genres and means to attain them are very important. Not only am I happy he is out there, I went to bed last night wishing I was 10 again just so I could start all over and re-learn guitar with that basic development of European and South American guitar technique. So goto Carl, learn the history of guitar integrity and begin the journey of a lifetime.
Very laid back and easy going. He was on vacation, but had his phone forwarded to him and took the time to talk to me about my daughter. Ron took every question with patience and confidence and was more concerned with protecting my daughter's voice than the range of it. He even sent me an almost immediate confirmation and directions to the studio. He was extremely gracious in scheduling my daughter so I could get her started on her voice lessons. There are no qualified voice teachers/coaches in our area, so I was really pleased to find I only have to drive 61 miles to get to the studio. I also liked the professional layout of his website and the glimpse of history behind Ron and his company. It is direct and to the point and easy to find the information you are looking for. He offered sample recordings on his website of his wife, who was very easy to listen to, on pitch and didn't hurt our ears, in spite of the low quality Mp3 quality of the recordings. Ron also mentioned that his wife was a voice coach as well. We are looking forward to the voice lessons/coaching provided by their company.
I try to teach myself guitar through the internet... and I think it back fired. Rob was able to work with me with my odd mixed background. He has the great ability to work with you and utilize what you already know to help learning new material. We got started by reworking some foundational issue and some music theories. Then we added some finger exercises to build up strength and dexterity. We also set some short term and long term goals to work towards and look forward to. To top it off, he is able to work around my miserable schedule and is very flexible to accommodate my needs. I should have just saved myself the headaches and take some lessons right away instead of trusting the internet (never trust the internet). Highly recommend.
Aaron was great to work with and my kids loved him. I have two kids that trained under him (boy and girl) early teenagers and did well under him. My daughter is tough to keep focused, but Aaron was great with her keeping her on track. My son has really taken off playing with Aaron and still does today on his own. Unfortunately Aaron had moved from our area out of state, but the kids still use what he’s taught them to improve their skills. If you’re looking for guitar lessons for yourself or your children, Aaron is your guy. Good value, great with kids and worked around our schedule if we needed to. A+ Matthew M.
My grandchildren love taking lessons at Creative Keys and especially enjoy performing at the recitals. I'm looking forward to seeing how much they'll grow musically over the coming years!
Phenomenal guitarist and a great teacher, He will defiantly bring your skills to the next level thanks Josh!
Jason was simply amazing for my kids. He was so patient with them and taught them so much! I have recommended him to several of my friends for their kids and also for some adults I know as well! It was an amazing experience for my family! My kids love their guitars and have a profoundly deeper love of music. We are so grateful!
I am one of the yougest instructors that i know of that have their own buildings to teach out of. I have all the equiptment that i would need for any lesson or live preformance.
Learn to play your favorite songs, develop a deeper understanding of music theory, learn how to write songs, or take your playing to the next level.
I can teach a 10 year old the basics, a 20 year old how to solo, and any age how to write, craft, and create lyrics/songs of their own. I don't fall into the category "those who can't do...teach. I can and do make my living with music and CHOOSE to teach others willing to learn how to / and have the passion to create original music. Glenn Roberts

I'm a self-taught guitar player. I do local performances around the university area. My main focus is to express the fun of playing music with others and to allow my students to become involved in the music-making process as early as possible. Knowledge of music theory is not necessary as I will teach you the ideas behind chords, melody, harmony, and rhythm. The purpose of these lessons is so that the student may feel at ease learning songs as well as jamming out with their friends and other musicians. Genres of interest include (but are not limited to) pop, folk, reggae, country, and jazz.
My name is Justin E. Walden, and I am from East Tennessee. My musical heritage stretches back to age 8 when I first started to learn how to play the guitar from my dad. He was the greatest musical influence in my life and still is. After exploring the guitar, I decided to venture out and try the banjo, then the mandolin, and finally the violin. I never really got into sports during my childhood, but I sure drove my parents crazy with squeaky strings when I first began to play. EXPERIENCE By and large, my full-time musical career started at around age 12 when I began playing with my family band, The Crystal Road Band. During my stint with my family band, I performed on average of 150 bookings per year. Here I alternated between instruments to fill in the gaps of lost members to maintain the full sound of the music. After 8 years of on-stage performance and studio sessions, I gleaned many insights on musical styles and concepts that have helped me in my musical career. While performing with my family band, I was able to also perform with some of the most talented performers such as Paul Williams & the Victory Trio, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, and many other great artists.
