Kevin Citarella came out himself and inspected my house and determined that it needed to be tented to kill the bug and rat infestation and gave me an estimate. He initially said that his fumigators could not come out until the first of the week, but later, to my surprise and delight, he called and said they could tent my house on Saturday, which was Veterans Day. I was a little disappointed that due to a "snag" with the fumigators, I couldn't move back into my house until a day later than I was told, but shit happens. Overall, I've been very pleased with the price and professionalism Citarella has demonstrated and I would highly recommend the company.

This was my first experience with a pest control company and I could not have been happier. It has been a month since Robert treated my house for ants, silverfish and the other assorted bugs that invade Florida homes. I have no ants and have seen evidence of other dead bugs that I did not even know where there. Very professional, polite, friendly, and punctual and the price is very reasonable. I also have a lot of animals and he made sure whatever he did the animals were taken into account. Do not hesitate to use Ram-Kil, you will be happy you did.

Gerald helped me diagnose my potential bed bug problem for no cost at all. He took the time to speak with me on the phone after-hours and gave me genuine feedback about the type of bug I was worried about based on photos that I sent him. I appreciate that he spent his time helping me and that he wasn't seeking any financial gain; he is an expert in this field and truly just wants to help.

Ricky is very thorough very nice and very kind and appeared to do a very good job the first time he came. I've signed up for a year. I did not really have a bug problem or any problem but I had been in the house one year and I knew I needed to start some kind of service and as many people have said I do not believe in using big companies.

They are very prompt, polite and will listen to your concern with open ears. The job with our bed bug problem is not completely done yet, as they still have another treatment to be completed in our home before the problem is to be solved as they have completed one part of a two part process, but with their expertise on the job I am hopeful that the job will be to our satisfaction. Bed bugs are a horrifying problem. Do Not try and tackle this problem on your own if any way possible get a professional to get the rid of them. Thank you, Diane M.

Great experience, I have only used them once but I was satisfied with his punctuality and willingness to listen to my bug concerns and areas in my yard I wanted him to treat. Very polite and professional, from what I have experienced so far I would recommend to friends and neighbors over the other big name company I used before. Keep up the good work.

We had a lot of pesky bugs. The service was great! They arrived on time and eliminated the bugs the first time, even though the service had a follow up date. Thank you, again!

We hired Eric to deal with a pest problem that we had tried to treat on our own but were unsuccessful. He did a great job! He took care of the problem and our home was bug-free. The results lasted a lot longer than we expected. I would use Eric again and recommend him to others.

I had a problem with ants in my kitchen and bathroom. Tim and his team were here on time, checked every room, identified TWO types of ants. He treated my home inside and out, was very friendly and consciously aware of my dog Chloe, whom is an inside dog. The treatment was plant based and I have not seen one ant or any live bug since treating my home. I highly recommend Pest Cemetery!!

Chet came out and extinguished my bug situation on a house I had purchased to fix and sell. So far, no signs of any bugs since they completed the service. Their pricing was very competitive and I would utilize their services again.

He came by on time, was very friendly, and took care of our bugs. So far, so good. He gave us a magnet so we can call at the first sign of more bugs. Highly recommended. :)

Very great service and at a grey price. Killed our problem the first go round but we are continually following up every two weeks. Which reminds me. The first follow up we forgot about and they called us every couple of days to remind us which is fantastic service. Definitely will be using them for a long time. Highly recommend!

About

According to a University of Florida study, bed bug dogs are 98% accurate at detecting bed bugs and bed bug eggs by their scents whereas human inspectors are 30-40% accurate in discovering bed bugs when performing visual inspections. Dogs can smell bed bugs in locations that people cannot inspect, such as those hidden inside electrical outlets, between wallpaper and drywall and behind base boards. A dog can pinpoint bed bugs in a matter of minutes that a person might not be able to find after hours of searching. Our bedbug dogs can detect bedbugs and their eggs in any room before they become an infestation.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What do pest control companies do?

Pest control companies handle all aspects of bug, rodent and animal extermination or removal. Pest control professionals visit your home or office to identify the type of pest that is troubling you and offer various treatment plans — complete with clearly outlined costs. Once you and the pest control company have a signed agreement, the pro will begin treatment. Pest treatment can range from the use of spray pesticides and gel bait to live and/or kill traps. There are a wide range of types of pesticides, many of them nontoxic for humans and other small animals. This means you may be able to have your home treated for pests without harming nearby wildlife or your dog and cat. The pest control pro will carry out the treatment plan and, depending on the service agreement, provide follow-up such as emptying traps, inspecting access points, or reapplying pesticide spray if the pests return. Costs will vary based on the type of pest you are having removed and the extent of the infestation. The average national pest control price range is $80-$130. From a minor bedbug event to an entire home termite infestation, pest control companies have got you covered.

How much does it cost to remove a mouse?

If you have a mouse in your house you’re probably quickly researching pest control costs. Mice, although tiny, can transmit diseases and also get into your food and leave unsanitary droppings around your home. If you have seen one mouse in your house, it’s likely that more have taken up residence in your crawl space, attic or basement. The national average pest control cost is $150-$200. Costs can vary depending on whether you need to get rid of a population of living mice or just dispose of a dead mouse (or full traps), how extensive the mouse population is, and where you live in the country. Here are some examples of average pest control cost for removing a mouse:

  • $150 for initial trap setup and inspection (and sealing of entry holes).
    • $50 for rodent removal service calls and emptying of traps. This visit can also include identifying and sealing entry points that were not sealed on the first visit.
  • Rodent extermination: $110-$350, depending on how heavy the rodent population is, whether the mouse infestation poses health risks, how many entrances exist and how many rodent bait stations are needed.

How much does it cost to treat a house for termites?

Termites are not only creepy-crawly, they can literally eat your house out from underneath you. Termites feed on damp and dry wood and can chomp through your house at an alarming rate. The national average pest control cost for termite extermination is $240-$400. Treatment costs can be higher for an extensive infestation. Here are some examples of average pest control costs for termites:

  • Liquid treatment of subterranean termites: $3-$4 per linear foot.
    • For $75 per year, a company may offer a maintenance plan that provides inspection of the property and renewal of the warranty.
  • Liquid treatment of subterranean termites: approximately $400 for a 2,000-square-foot home at $3-$5 per linear foot.
    • The price is higher for additional work such as foaming and drilling inside of concrete slabs.
  • Fumigation treatment of drywood termites: $1,200-$1,500 for a 30,000- to 35,000-cubic-foot home
    • Fumigation is measured in cubic feet because it fills the airspace of the home and infiltrates the wood that the termites may be colonizing. The cost of fumigation is affected by the number of levels in the home as well as the square footage.

How much does it cost to get rid of cockroaches?

Cockroaches are not only ugly, they are difficult to get rid of. Quick and resilient, they can be hard to get rid of without professional help once they have inhabited a house. Nationally, the average range for cockroach pest control cost is $80-$130. Extermination professionals typically provide a free estimate to determine the extent of the infestation. They’ll check for the main sources of the bugs, identify bug access and entry points into your home, and determine the best method for elimination. There are a variety of cockroach extermination tools including gel baits and traps, pesticide foggers, desiccants (which dry out the cockroaches), neurotoxins, and other pesticides. Pest control costs can also cover preventive measures like regular spraying and trap maintenance. Some regions of the country are much more prone to cockroach problems than others, so pest control costs may need to be part of your quarterly budget. Cockroaches love dark, humid, and warm areas and water sources, so place traps near your washer and dryer and under your sinks.

How much does it cost to get a pest inspection?

In general there is no cost for a pest inspection. Exterminators typically provide a free property or building inspection and then provide you with a written estimate outlining the necessary treatment and cost. The home visit allows the exterminator to assess the problem and let you know what your pest control cost will be if you contract with their services. You may need a termite inspection for real estate purposes. This will be a verified inspection showing that the house in question is termite-free (often done before a sale). The inspection may cost a flat rate, such as $125-$150, depending on house size.

It’s hard to predict pest control costs sight unseen due to the variety of factors that go into pest treatment. For example, a bedbug problem for one customer may be confined to one room and be easy to access and treat in one visit if the room is clear of clutter and the bedbugs have been caught early. In another home, a bedbug problem may also be confined to one room, but there’s a great deal of clutter, providing more hiding places for the bugs and requiring more spray and labor for the exterminator, as well as many pieces of large furniture in the room that need to sprayed. Depending on the maturity of the infestation, a bedbug problem may require multiple visits to entirely eliminate. This is why many companies provide a free inspection to determine pest control costs and provide you the most accurate quote possible.
