FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Every 2 years we do 24 hours of continuing education to stay up to date on new modalities. This year I am going to learn Thai massage which is now becoming popular in the states.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My mom and grandma were massage therapists so I suppose it runs in the family. After my bachelors degree, I decided I wanted to get experience in the field before going to Physical Therapy school. I fell in love with massage when I went back to school and have been doing it since.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I typically perform swedish and deep tissue because those are the two most popular types of massages. I also love sports, reflexology and prenatal massages and perform a few a week at the spa I work for.
