Damian was very friendly welcoming my daughter and I. Just is super cool and patient and makes learning the guitar fun!
Pepina teaches violin lessons for my 10 year old daughter. We recently switched to her from another teacher. Of course she is a highly skilled violinist but she's also a great teacher. We have found her to be patient and encouraging and she uses positive methods of motivation. My daughter practices often so that she can impress her teacher.
As a 35 year old, who hadn't picked up an instrument in a long while, I was nervous to begin lessons with a new teacher and an undiscovered instrument. Miss Sharon put me at ease immediately and after the first lesson, I believed I could conquer anything. Like anything I've ever tried, you have to fail a lot to begin to regularly succeed. This is fundamental to truly learning any instrument. Thanks to Miss Sharon, I have the confidence she feeds me and praise she gives me as small signs I am progressing well despite my stumbles along this road of failure to mastery! She is truly knowledgeable in her instrument as well as an excellent teacher!
Lessons in Your Home was quick to tailor guitar lessons for my daughter. The instructor has been personable and has built wonderful rapport with her. She is gaining strong foundational skills each week. I highly recommend them!
Gabriel is a great instructor. I have only been taking lessons for about a month and I'm amazed at how I've progressed. He makes it all very easy to grasp. I definitely recommend.
Violin player at wedding. Did not play at the end/walk away down aisle...was a bit of a bummer since play was only for before and after Ceremony for walks down the aisle!
I started taking private lessons from Rosa after about a year of playing the violin. She is an awesome teacher and I have pretty much learned everything I know about the violin from her. She took me from Suzuki book 4 all the way to Beethoven's violin concerto. She has taught me how to interpret music and to play with expression and confidence. I would highly recommend Rosa as a violin teacher.
My granddaughter is enjoying her violin lessons with Sean.
The piano teacher that they sent out to us is a wonderful and positive and talented woman named Katharine. I have two advanced pianists and she was fabulous with them both, especially the son that is now 14 who has become more reluctant about practicing. My younger son wanted to also learn the violin. Katharine plays and teaches both! She brought her violin and during his first lesson on her violin, Katharine discovered that my 12 year old son has perfect pitch! She is amazing and we are so glad that we went with Elite Music!
It has been about a year that I'm taking violin lessons with Farzad and I believe as an adult learner I have progressed a lot due to his efforts. He is a very patient, punctual and detail oriented instructor, he makes sure that you learn both theory and technique to its perfection. I highly recommend Farzad to learners who want to learn from a professional and experienced teacher.
Kristina is an amazing voice teacher! I look forward to working with her every week. She's nice and sweet and provides really great insight and suggestions.
William currently teaches my 6 year old private violin lessons. We are so impressed by his professional, positive, and child friendly approach. He keeps her focused and develops the skills needed for her lessons very well. She has grown tremendously, and he has been the best teacher she has had since she started playing at 3 years old. We would absolutely recommend him!
Provided good foundation to build on
As a teacher, I focus equally on formal technique and personal expression. Mastering correct form provides the foundation, upon which a student's capacity for the latter may grow. I view our time together as an opportunity to encourage musical and personal growth. My goal is to encourage discipline while fostering creativity. Maintaining the student's interest by adapting my teaching methods to every individual is an important focus, as is engaging the student by allowing him/her choice in the material we learn in lessons. This not only facilitates a cooperative environment, but also allows me to tailor my teaching style to the student's interests, strengths, and learning preferences. My tuition for private instructions are as follows: * 30 minutes for $25 * 45 minutes for $37.50 * 60 minutes for $50 I believe music theory is an important focus for a student to understand how tones relate to each other in any piece of music. These relationships will be explored aurally, visually, and tactilely in all lessons. In teaching, my goal is to encourage students to learn and grow independently. In my studio (or your home), mistakes are opportunities for improvement. For the duration of our lesson, you (or your child) are in a nurturing zone of freedom of expression. Join me in an exploration of personal talent and creativity. My love and passion for music is portrayed through my students and the smile on their faces when they leave the lesson. I play music games with the little ones (ages 4 to 8 or so) to create interest. For the older ones, I use analogies to be able to read music easier.
I give violin lessons from beginning to advanced; beginning to intermediate viola lessons; and beginning cello lessons. I've been teaching consistently for six years, and I have a wonderful array of students ranging from as young as four years old to well into their seventies.
All levels of guitar lessons are available at a fraction of the normal cost. I also have music theory classes where anyone can learn to read music and apply it to any instrument. Classes are 3 hours long every Saturday and the course is 20 weeks. The first 1.5 hours are learning from book provided. The class takes a quiz to make sure everyone got the info needed to go forward. The second 1.5 hours is applying the theory to your instrument
Simply put, I teach you or your child how to play the violin (or fiddle - they're the same thing), in whatever style you're looking to learn. Whether you want to learn just enough to fiddle with your friends, give your child the "Mozart effect," or get really really good at playing the violin, I can teach it, and you'll have fun along the way! Fair warning - the violin's a hard instrument, and everyone makes horrible scratchy noises when they first start. You will be dismayed at these noises when you (or your child) first start. They will disappear with time and practice.
I teach piano, violin, and cello to both young and old. I have been involved with music all of my life and have past experience in teaching and performance. Music is fun and is fun to teach! I would love to teach you or your child at your convenience!
