My Vocal lessons have been tremendously successful, with the techniques that Joyce uses has really enhanced my ability to practice on my own and strengthen my vocal cords. Joyce teaches the notes to play on the piano so that I can read the music in order to understand what I am singing, and not just singing what I am told to. She has a pleasant atmosphere to practice in and really uplifting and supportive attitude. I plan on having my 7 year old son learn with Joyce as well.

I have received vocal instruction with Dr. Galer since September 2013 and can recommend her services to anyone! I had in my mind several challenges why I couldn’t learn music at this time as I walked into my first lesson. First I am an adult learner with full time work and family. Second I come in with no knowledge of classical music crossing over from pop/gospel genre. Third I have been self taught prior to coming to her with no real foundation and understanding of music theory. What impressed me was that Dr. Galer was undaunted by my perceived “challenges” and reframed them into advantages. She put no unnecessary limits on me and did not just teach me notes on a page but she is teaching me how to have a relationship and honour my voice. She is vocalist, teacher and psychologist rolled into one! Her style involves not just singing songs but cultivating an appreciation for the art of music. I am a very left brained individual and once I let go my preconceptions of what vocal studies and vocal instructors were our lessons blossomed. She teaches me cornerstones of discipline, sound vocal technique, and that sometimes the shortest distance between two points in not a straight line. There have been challenges yes as there are things I have to unlearn and things I need to “catch up” with but 8 months in I am sticking with it with her and I have witnessed my musical competence and confidence increase. I have seen positive changes in my vocal power/strength, my relative pitch, my classical repertoire, my sense of timing and my vocal range. I am learning to sing both intelligently and from the heart. I cannot wait to see what the future holds! Thank you Dr. Galer for your patience and your commitment to this field

In the years we've had lessons the staff and teachers at Key to Music have been so excellent! The school worked to put my children with teachers that match their learning styles. My children love to go to music lessons, and they even practice in between without too much nagging. The people I've referred to Key to Music have been very happy as well. One of the great benefits is that the students get opportunities to perform in the community, and that there are free group lessons on many Saturdays.

Celeste is a great piano instructor. She made it fun and easy for me a mid 20 year old who is just starting to play music. She allowed me to choose the music I wanted to play and simplified it for me. She helped me change the key to my voicing and I truly enjoyed my experience. Thank you Celeste!

I've been working with Adam for quite some time and am always impressed that he never runs out of things to teach me. I'm 18 now but started with him at 15. He's taught me writing my own chord progressions, arrangment, melody writing, and studio engineering. I've learned playing jazz improv on piano and how to make Dubstep and EDM. The guy's a wealth of knowledge that just doesn't stop and I enjoy my sessions with him very much. Adam's a genius!

    About

I begin teaching music (theory, vocal lessons, music dictation, guitar lessons and piano lessons) from 1975 to 2005 in my Vietnam country, and I continued teaching music in the U.S.A from 2005 until now. I have also been a volunteer music teacher and conductor in a choir at Ascension Catholic Church (Boca Raton) from 2008 until now. I want to teach the real music, loving young people and guiding them how to be a successful musician, using their beautiful music to fill the sadness abyss of the poor people.

    About

I have been singing in a professional setting for over 12 years and have gotten to work with some incredible opera stars and solo musicians. I am currently studying music business with a concentration in voice performance at the University of Memphis in Memphis, TN. I grew up in West Palm Beach, FL and began singing at Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, located on the island of Palm Beach at age 6. Later, I joined Young Singers of the Palm Beaches (YSPB) which helped me further my musicianship skills and land a spot in the performing arts middle school, BAK. I then attended Dreyfoos School of the Arts and participated in masterclasses that taught in a Bel Canto style, focusing on breathing and style. I am looking to give voice lessons to students who would be interested in pursuing music at either a middle or high school level. Given my extensive knowledge on how to audition for arts schools, I would love to help your child find their voice and see why music is a wonderful step in the direction of a great future. I am only available in the summertime (mid-May to mid-August).
