I started taking guitar lessons with Dr. T about two months ago. In this short period of time, I have been able to learn the fundamentals. Dr. T will teach you the proper technique, will be patient with you, and will modify lessons to fit your progress. I count that as a blessing because while I can pick up some stuff quite fast other stuff takes me longer. The Lessons are about 45 minutes; but if his and your schedule permit, he is willing to put extra time at no charge to make sure you are able to make progress consistently. One of the things that impressed me was that even on the first lesson we jumped right into it with no delays. He was very courteous and friendly, but at the same time very conscientious of your time since he understands that you want to get the most value for the price you're paying. Overall, Dr. T is a very good instructor. I had zero experience with the guitar before, and with his help I have noticed improvement already. The last thing I would have to say is that to learn to play the guitar you have to put the time, practice, be patient and committed and you will succeed.

I had always wanted to take voice lessons but due to the expense, it was something I had never pursued. It was only when I was cast in a community theatre musical production for a character outside of my vocal range that I decided to pursue the opportunity. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to study with Joe. He is very passionate about his craft. He is knowledgeable and efficient. His method of teaching is extremely comprehensive and with each lesson, I learned more and more. Over the course of our few weeks together, I expanded my vocal range and gained the confidence I needed to perform perfectly. My voice was noticeably stronger- not only to me, but to my family and my musical theater peers. He worked hard to accommodate my schedule and never hesitated to put in additional time. Recently, I was cast as a lead in another community theatre musical production. While my voice is pretty, I am confident that my ability to secure this role was because I had spent time working with Joe. I will continue to work with him throughout my community theatre endeavors and would recommend him to anyone seeking to improve their vocal range and/or skills. He truly is a wonderful teacher and this review does not do him justice.

I learned a lot very quickly with Brendon's help. He helped me with practicing how to read music, learning how to play each note, understanding how to read a guitar tab and even taught me how to play parts from songs I chose. Working with him was really beneficial to me in learning guitar.

Rob does a great job making my bass lessons fun and engaging, and is great at matching the material to the individual student. I really like that he writes things down for you to reference later and answers questions well. He's definitely taken the intimidation out of learning an instrument. Overall, he's very professional and is a teacher I'd recommend to anyone.

Tim is an excellent teacher and role model. I didn't feel very motivated about my guitar playing until Tim showed me how to practice correctly and get fast results. Tim's tracking method via his website is amazing! I would recommend Happy Fingers Guitar Lessons without hesitation :)

    About

I am teaching guitar and bass guitar by ear. I have been playing for over 40 years. I have been playing professionally since I was 11 year old.

    About

The quality of my lessons to the money you pay is second-to-none. I am a college student, who loves playing guitar and learning about music. I bring that passion, and knowledge to my students in a way that they can APPLY IT. Time and time again , I see students quit their instruments because the teacher is basically lecturing the student on music theory, scales, genres, etc. Whenever I teach a topic I try to explain the students why it is important, and show the student what they can do with the information I am giving them. For example, teaching the student all of the major pentatonic scales in each key is great. However, if you do not learn how to phrase those scales together you can never write a solo. My hands on approach to teaching will leave your impressed with your knowledge about guitar and music in no time.

I play better than most instructors, using right hand/finger techniques rather than just a flat pick. You will learn how to use the total length of the fretboard and maximize the resonance from the tone woods in an acoustic guitar, enabling the best sound from your played composition of choice.

    About

My name is Justin E. Walden, and I am from East Tennessee. My musical heritage stretches back to age 8 when I first started to learn how to play the guitar from my dad. He was the greatest musical influence in my life and still is. After exploring the guitar, I decided to venture out and try the banjo, then the mandolin, and finally the violin. I never really got into sports during my childhood, but I sure drove my parents crazy with squeaky strings when I first began to play. EXPERIENCE By and large, my full-time musical career started at around age 12 when I began playing with my family band, The Crystal Road Band. During my stint with my family band, I performed on average of 150 bookings per year. Here I alternated between instruments to fill in the gaps of lost members to maintain the full sound of the music. After 8 years of on-stage performance and studio sessions, I gleaned many insights on musical styles and concepts that have helped me in my musical career. While performing with my family band, I was able to also perform with some of the most talented performers such as Paul Williams & the Victory Trio, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, and many other great artists. GENRES PERFORMED Traditional | Americana | Classic Rock | Folk | Country/Bluegrass | Hip Hop | Pop | Contemporary Booking can be done directly via CONTACT page.
