I made a last minute booking and James was very helpful. It was very simple and they are experienced and friendly. I had a few signature drinks for the party and Clarissa, our bartender, made them extremely fast and good. She arrived early to get our bar prepped and she helped clean up. Overall, a great experience with this team and would definitely rehire them for another party in the future.

This bartending service didn’t listen or even pay attention to any of the parameters they were given. It took for days of having to repeat to them details they had already been given on multiple occasions. Now as a Veteran I was looking forward to helping the Veteran community, however when they are given a time frame to call and are late each time along with the other difficulties makes it very difficult to trust them with our wedding

Janice and Jay literally made our party “THE BEST PARTY”. They showed up early and set up the entire bar. They brought their own coolers, in addition to their own cups, fruit, an amazing margarita mix, and they even offered to bring ice. No one was thirsty the whole night and there was never a line! They kept the good times flowing. They even helped clean up buffet which was so nice and helpful. I was one of the brides and Janice had a drink in my hand the whole time! We did a champagne toast on the beach and they even made that go off without a hitch, filling cups as people entered the beach. I would seriously recommend them to bartend any event, big or small. Janice bartended our wedding of 90 people last weekend and did an amazing job!!! She did a fantastic job of keeping up with everything and making sure everyone had drinks and I never saw a line of more than 2 people at the bar because she was so efficient. Liesyl worked really hard to make sure we had everything we wanted for our party. My lovely wife’s 40th birthday was upon us. It was a big deal, a major milestone and the pressure was on. I was intent on creating a special celebration that was both unique and memorable. I settled on throwing an elegant dinner party, that was white attire themed, with 25 of our closest friends. I thought hiring a bartender would be a great touch. I reached out to several here on Thumbtack, however, one in particular seemed to stand above rest, Liesyl at Sloth Mode Bar Services. Liesyl proved to be patient, helpful and skilled at guiding the process. She helped me narrow down my drink choices - we decided to go with two vodka drinks, two rum drinks and two tequila drinks. She advised on everything I needed to purchase - the appropriate number of bottles and sizes, mixers, cups etc. for guest count. The night of the event Liesyl arrived 30 minutes prior to do set up and prep. She was up and running once our first guest arrived and the evening was rolling. The guests were thrilled with her service, she really provided a first class experience and they were effusive in praising her. Last, Liesyl had a wonderfully charming personality that added considerably to the ambiance. Ultimately, the birthday girl was incredibly pleased! Suffice it to say, I’d recommend Liesyl if you are planning an in-home intimate party or any other special occasion that requires a top notch bartender.

From start to finish, working with Dria for a recent office event I was hosting was an absolute breeze and pleasure! No-show vendor at our wedding! The worst decision for a vendor that I made at our wedding was giving Kitchen's Portal/Junior a chance to bartend at the wedding. I didn't like how he was all sweet talk prior to the event but when it came to executing on the day of the wedding, this vendor not only failed to show up but did nothing to make things right by having a backup plan. Here are the facts and the timeline: 1. I call and talk to Junior at great length one month prior to the wedding on what we were looking for. 2. We discuss the exact drinks menu, guest count, and the budget. 3. I give him the address, date, and time of the wedding verbally and via text. 4. I sign a contract with Kitchen's Portal on Rocket Lawyer showing the exact timeline and date of the event. 5. I then make a payment to Kitchen's Portal via Square. All of the above was done via texts/emails/phone calls. On the wedding day, one hour prior to the ceremony and about 1.5 hours from the cocktail hour, Junior calls me saying “can you provide me with the address of the place.” At that moment, I get a sick feeling in my stomach and I start thinking to myself what kind of a vendor would call the groom and ask for the address of the venue one hour prior to when he’s supposed to be getting married?!? I had verbally given him this information and texted him in the past the exact address and the timeline of events. I then proceed to give him the address of the venue. He then replies “there’s a problem as the guy that was supposed to show up to bartend is at the wrong place.” At this point, I’m just baffled and couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I then ask him “well, where is he?” Junior responds “he’s in Miami.” [For reference, the wedding venue was in St. Petersburg...almost a 4 hour drive from Miami!] It is at this point that I start losing it and tell him that first of all, you confirmed that not just some “guy” but you, Junior the owner of Kitchen's Portal, will be bartending at our wedding. Second, how can you possibly get the city the wedding is taking place so wrong after all the conversations we have had over the phone, texts, and via a written signed contract? I tell him that I am looking at a text from just 2 weeks ago where I gave you the address of the venue. And another text from just yesterday that confirmed the time the bar is supposed to be open. The response I got was something like…”I don’t know but he’s at the wrong place.” I then ask him when can he send a backup. He says the soonest that somebody can be there is by 10pm. I said to him…TEN PM! That’s 4 hours after the wedding has already started!! At this point, I hand the phone over to my best man and ask him to deal with Junior. Luckily, one of our wedding guest was an ex-bartender that did an absolutely fantastic job and got rave reviews from our guests. It’s one thing to do a bad job at an event but for a vendor to NOT EVEN SHOW UP and not have a backup...AT A WEDDING…that is inexcusable! 
In my personal opinion and due to the highest level of stress that I went thru, I highly recommend NOT hiring Kitchen's Portal/Junior. I hope you would learn from my horrible experience.
