The crew was delayed but arrived within a reasonable interval from what was promised. They roamed our roof with leaf blowers to loosen the hurricane debris from the gutters, and loaded a full trailer of moldering tree debris from the street in front of our house. The price was fair for a couple of very unpleasant jobs.
Jeff's crew of 3 guys did a good job, although I had to insist on the second coat of paint, due to uneven tone. Be carful in choosing the paint, some paints will not be sufficient for one coat job.
He fixed a walk in garage door which had some rot around the door jamb, installed a permanent curtain rod in the shower/tub, replaced a towel holder, replaced grout that had cracked in the bathroom, replaced cracked tile and grout in hallway and installed a ceiling fan remote in our family room. All of these jobs took about 15 hours. He knew what needed to be done and went right to work competing each job, with no time wasted. He was on time and called to let me know he was on his way. I can't find anything to complain about, quality looks great and everything is outstanding. In the future he should inform the client that a tile job will create dust The estimate he gave us was what he charged us. He told us that he has a warranty on all his work and will repair later if needed He was extremely courteous to us and to his assistant. He explained exactly what he wanted him to do and said please and thank you. Thanks Kraig and Steve!
Mark Bunker and his two associates painted our kitchen cabinets and paneled one wall in the kitchen. It was a five hour job. They did 2 Coates of paint on the cabinets after they sanded them and the paneling looks beautiful. I am very happy with the work they did. My kitchen looks beautiful.
Ray did an excellent job of taking a partially finished job of caulking and painting previously installed crown molding and installing new baseboards and door casings which included caulking and painting. The work he performed really makes the house look years newer and his attention to detail and professionalism is greatly appreciated. I needed the work to be completed on an aggressive schedule and Ray completed the work on schedule and to the agreed to budget. I highly recommend A.B.S. Construction for your remodeling needs.
Steve painted the exterior of my home and I couldn't be happier with the result. Steve's quote was comparable to others I received but the great reviews he has made choosing him easy. Steve was professional, courteous, prompt, detailed and overall a real pleasure to work with. While painting he also took care of a couple other little things for me (applying wood stain to my shed stairs and fixing a broken door handle) for no additional charge! And he even provided me great recommendations on restaurants and activities in Boston where I was headed to visit. My house looks amazing and I will definitely be using Steve for other projects since his skills are vast.
I needed a shower area re-caulked. Carlos showed up on time and did an excellent job. He is also pleasant and professional. I hope to do business with him again in the near future.
I asked Dan to install a garbage disposal, a new faucet and a water line to my fridge. He was prompt, friendly and very professional. Dan did not rush and took the time to see that the job was done correctly. I am very pleased with his expertise and plan to use him again in the future.
The Alvarez Paint Group applied an epoxy coating on all of the walkways and stairways in one of our 4 story buildings. The did a very neat and professional job and so far seems to be holding up well.
The carpentry work that he has done for us is nothing less than Master Craftmanship! We have hired many "professionals " over the 20 years of being in our home and None have compared to Julius and his staff! Impeccable work at a reasonable price. It is very hard to find this quality. They worked continuously in 90 degree heat to get my exterior cedar house back to the way it should be. There was alot of correction to be made by previously poor workmanship. Polite, courteous and excellent work ethic. We will continue to work with Julius for any projects that we have in the future. Thank you,Julius, for your wisdom and knowledge. We could not be happier for the first time in a very long time!!
Mr. McCord's services were what I was looking for to accommodate a facelift on property in Rotonda West,Fl.The package included powerwashing (no chemicals),tree and shrub trimming, pruning and shaping. Also,Jeff repaired and replaced pool tiles, filled cracks and applied a complete deck tuff-coat application as part of a lanai and pool restoration. Jeff was quite pleasant, personable and professional in his approach to his responsibilities. In fact,he was an excellent ambassador in his field, On the basis of my needs and experience,I recommend H.M.D. for your consideration without reservation.
The project I hired Driss for was remodeling the master bath. I needed to shorten a long shower stall to make room for a washer/dryer combo. Driss did all the work from demolishing the stall walls, to dry-walling, tiling and plumbing. Only electric hookup and a glass enclosure of the new shower were left to licensed contractors. Driss worked super fast and in a week I had my new washer/dryer hooked up and working. His calculations were super precise and left me with a nice size shower, bigger than I expected. I was very impressed with his speed and expediency. What could have gone a tad better? Communications. I am used to contractors asking for my preferences, even minor things such as where to place the towel rack and toilet paper holder. Driss worked so hard and so fast he did not stop to ask any questions. But that is a small price to pay for his precision and speed.
I can not rave enough about Reel Construction, they are second to none. We are new residents of Seminole, FL and bought a home that ended up needing some MAJOR repairs and renovations (including structural). Not knowing anyone locally for the job, we had to depend on our gut to choose our General Contractor. We reached out to countless contractors, called numbers off of vehicles driving down the road and trolled the internet for more hours than we wished. Our scope included: -Demo the entire exterior of the house down to structural wood and replace 30 year old cedar planks with Hardie lap siding and nasty tar paper wrap with Tyvek. -Eliminate 2 windows entirely, convert 2 windows to doors (one sliding and one french), replace 11 other 30 year old windows with up to date, code compliant Anderson windows, convert 1 sliding glass door to a window and cut off a dilapidated, rotted 12ft x 8ft balcony on a third floor. -New roof. Which he was honest in telling me that I was better off contacting a roofer independently and gave me 3 roofers to contact. We ended up Going with Acoma Roofing...also a total home run, great experience, phenomenal outfit! So, after reaching out to dozens of people, it came down to 4 GC's... 1- Guy A, came by to look at the scope and after calling him for a week asking for a proposal, he finally answered the phone and said he did not have time for our job. 2- Guy B, was 3 hours late to a set appointment, "could not find our house", claimed he is a one man show with no overhead which is why his (incomplete) estimate that did not cover my entire scope of work and was suspiciously low...This dude was 80 years old and didn't really "listen" to me during his visit anyways. 3- Guy C, I had to beg him for a face to face meeting to go over the scope of our job for 3 weeks! He finally sent his "new foreman" and he showed up to our house late and with his wife and kids in tow...Then I had to beg him for 3 more weeks for a proposal which I still have not gotten as I write this review. And those are the ones that I got in touch with!!! This doesn't include the countless emails sent and voicemails left with responses that range from no call back or clearly incompetent outfits, to having a yelling match over the phone because "I didn't know what I was talking about and if we are going to start out by you telling me how I'm going to run my job, then go call someone else..." It is exhausting to even narrow it down to 3 equal, or even similar options to choose from. Also, if you are reading this and are wondering who these other outfits are, feel free to call me for more details, my name is Happy 904-716-1616 So on to the good stuff, from day one, Jory was punctual, attentive, accommodating and answered the phone (or called me back by COB) every time I needed him. He is friendly, clean cut and very professional. He is well educated, courteous around my wife and kids and well mannered. Basically the dude has it together and is not a disheveled mess. He made us feel comfortable from the moment we met. He caries himself with the confidence that no job is to big but remains humble enough that you would hire him for a simple bathroom remodel or an inexpensive deck addition...I can confidently say that he has the knowledge and skill to tackle any job. He took care of every detail from pulling permits to assisting with my material order from Home Depot. He negotiated with the scaffolding company on my behalf and took a bill that potentially was $10k to half of that. He coordinated every city and county inspection and did EVERYTHING on the up and up. I do not have a shadow of a doubt that he is the most honest General Contractor that I have met or will ever meet, and that extends to his crews BTW... On several occasions his crews worked at our house with full access to the inside (we had no option) while we were out of town or away for the entire day. Most of the time he was not there the whole day, leaving Crispin, his main foreman in charge. At no point were any valuables in our house (or garage) even looked at, there was plenty of opportunity for stuff to go missing and it never happened, it's not even a thought to these guys. With a lot of hesitation, I gave him the keys to my house, but our stuff remained as safe as if I was there watching them...it blows my mind that people this honest still exist. Everybody from Jory himself, Crispin, Pablo, Vicente, Thomas, Ken and down to the newest helper were there just trying to make an honest living. They represent what is great about America! The quality of his work: I am in the elevator business, I came from oil and power, I know my way around tools...on a few occasions I tried to cut some corners (not compromising the end product or look, but mainly to save money) and he put his foot down and did things right. On one occasion even saying that his name was on the line and he would work with me on the cost of doing it right if he needed to but refused to cut a corner, even when I was asking him to! In any event, we ran into a lot of water and termite damage to the house that was out of scope and he could have nickle and dimmed me to death but instead chose to keep my final bill reasonable (he is not the cheapest guy out there but he is the best by a long shot, and you truly get what you pay for). Now check this out, and I still have a hard time believing this myself, but, he started my job the day we agreed, he finished my job 15 days ahead of schedule and the final bill was within 2% of his original budget... Everything you have read so far is why I am taking the time (that I don't really have) out of my busy day to write such a detailed review. He deserves to be raved about and no, he did not bride me to write this! As you can read, Jory Romano and his crews far exceeded our expectations. I will never go to another outfit for my future remodeling or constructions needs nor will I ever stop raving about how impressed I am with Reel Construction!
Ossvava ,repaired our kitchen ceiling which was damaged from a busted water pipe . New drywall ,crown molding and painting was installed. He done a outstanding job and he is a hard working person and his goal is to do a satisfying job. Will have future work done by him . He is a pleasant person and his prices are reasonable.
Exceptional service, honest as the day is long, reasonable pricing, totally dependable. Property was an estate being settled and had been vacated for several years. The property was in a state of disrepair, had been vandalized, and subject to code violations. James power washed and painted the trailer, installed under skirting, replaced screens, cleaned grounds, and other requirements to comply with code violations. Other work included sealing roof, cleaning gutters, and replacing subflooring where needed in order to prepare the property for a pending sale. What a relief to have such dedicated service when I was 1200 miles away from the property, facing fines, and preparing to sell.
Wow! Unbelievably great experience with the Elson crew! I have been renovating this house for the last year and have certainly had my share of contractor nightmare stories and understandably I'm gunshy. I think Troy and his crew have restored my faith that a big job can go smoothly and efficiently. This company did the siding, fascia, soffits, gutters and downspouts on my home -- a house the neighbors had nicknamed "the brown turd." Sorry, folks, for being crude, but I'm just sharing how awful it looked. Not any more though! Troy and I crew transformed any ugly house and turned it into my beautiful home!! Their work is exacting and so very well done. Every one of his folks is polite and very considerate. They were here early every day and worked late even while enduring terrible heat . I'm just so impressed by how Troy solved some gnarly problems and how creatively he approached those problems. He and his folks are as honest as the day is long. I can't say enough about him and can only tell you that you'll never regret hiring him and his crew -- I'm certainly happy that I did!!
I'm a private homeowner & have hired Mark several times to pressure wash. His work is excellent - very thorough. He's honest, easy to work with, and goes the extra mile. Highly recommended.
First I want to say what an awesome personality Larry has! He came over right away when we called for estimate on a bunch of work we needed and wanted done. Within one day, he had all the work in detail including price and labor professionally printed to go over with my husband and I. We started with a small budget and worked on what was most important first. All of our windows needed replaced due to energy costs. Because our house was built so poorly, most of the work done was custom fit. Larry is a perfectionist and hardworking! He gutted our whole bathroom, plastered the walls and put drywall. He installed new bathroom fixtures and tub frame. Insulated walls. He offers amazing quality job for a low price. He enclosed a whole vertical window and got matching wood siding to make it look perfect and also fixed our awning that was rotting outside. Did electrical work for us. Was always on time and was here when he said he'd be. Very dedicated and can tell he loves what he does! Work shows! Have already referred him to many friends and family that are excited to hire him! Always has great ideas to improve the job and is very honest and very reasonable!! :-) very pleased!
Robin replaced some inside/outside lights and fans, torn down a shed, replaced sealant on sink, and placed some trim on outside kitchen. Great work. Professional and he pays attention to detail. Everything looks great. Highly recommend him.
Miguel pressured washed my home, and painted it as well. He did a tremendous job,and im very happy with my home's new look.Inside and out. Miguel also pressured washed my driveway and coated it with paint. He is great, and efficient painter, and pressure washer.
I hired a general contractor who suggested hiring JB Home Improvement to install our soffit, facia, and siding. our contractor ordered materials and installed new windows. Jason then got started a few days after the windows went in. Jason started with some demo, removing the old soffit and facia. After replacing that with new, he added insulation and house wrap, then the siding. we chose a cedar shake siding on the gables and 5 in horizontal on the rest. Jason was great to deal with thru the entire process. He was professional, respectful, and very polite. Jason's work is second to none. He helped us decide between our different options and what would look and function best. We truly couldn't be more pleased with the out come of our home, its beautiful and we are very proud of it. I would highly recommend hiring JB Home Improvement for your home improvement needs!!!!!
