Scott Schmidt was very professional, personable, punctual and walked me through the entire process of assembling and positioning my three wardrobes: the best I have had so far in many years of dealing with technicians and handymen. I intend to use his services again.
I am an Interior Designer, finding reliable & skilled contractors is not easy in our industry. I am so pleased to have found T&F Painting. Their skill level, cleanliness, professionalism and price structure are outstanding. They will prep your walls and strain the paint to give you the best application. The owner Fabian is professional yet friendly and his crew does amazing work. I strongly recommend T& F for painting services if you want the job done right the 1st time!
I was changing out the bathroom vanity and when I removed the existing one I discovered there was no floor underneath, it went staight down to the foundation. Edilson was able to come over right away and put matching flooring down at a very fair price. His work was quick and concise. I would recommend him and will be calling him for any future projects I have.
What can I say...this all started with just replacing our floors in a home from 1964 we purchased and turned into a complete interior renovation where literally every surface was redone except for the windows. We decided to expand our project little by little asking more and more questions and Gabriel was right on top of it helping us to make easy decisions. In the end, essentially redoing the whole house removing all traces of the 60's was on tap for before we moved in. Now that it is done, I can say Gabriel and crew successfully turned an old dated house into a gorgeous new space and he and crew are the best crew in the world in my opinion. Not only Gabriel but ALL of his crew have gone out of their way to make sure we were happy and to make sure the job is done right. Gabriel is incredibly trustworthy as others have stated and his crew feel like family to my wife and I at this point. Our project took around 3.5 months including all permits from the city and everything is up to code. That is a VERY fast turnaround considering the scope of work involved...just waiting for permits took 3 weeks out of that project time alone. Basically, these guys were flying the whole time doing great work across the board and we are very happy customers. If you're reading this know that Gabriel and his crew and Luis with Conquer Builders (the General Contractor) are responsive, honest, proud, ethical, hardworking people who will do what needs to be done to make you happy. As expected with a project of this scope, surprises came up and there was never a moment where all hope or control was lost - there was always a plan to push on through and get it done, again, at breakneck pace. I could not recommend W&B, Gabriel, his crew or Luis @ Conquer Builders high enough. It is and has been a pleasure to work with them and we will absolutely be using them in the future. Internet reviews are often shady because you know their friends and family probably write bogus reviews and try to make them seem like they're something they are not but these guys are the real deal. You have zero worries hiring this company; I am not a family member writing this to boost their ratings, I am a very happy customer whose home is listed in the photos. We have cats and with every room being worked on, it was a HUGE concern of ours that they did not get out..Gabriel and crew respected the "safe room" boundaries and worked around it. If they needed to get in that room, they would let me know and I could come by and move the cats to another room so they could work. Most contractors do not care and will do whatever they want and not pay attention and listen to the homeowners...not these guys! Thank you for building our sofl paradise! Now we can unpack! :)
My husband installed a vinyl PVC fence in 2011 without a permit and when we decided to sale the home in 2015 we needed to get this resolved with the City of Lauderdale Lakes, so that we could proceed with the sale of our home. You can not pull an owner-builder permit unless you are staying at the property for at least a year. Therefore, we had to hire a general contract to make sure our fence was up to code, get the utility companies to sign off, pull permit and get everything resolved with The City of Lauderdale Lakes. Tony's pricing was the most reasonable out of all the quotes we got and he made sure that this was resolved in time so that we could close on our house. He even moved things around on his busy schedule to pull this off for us. We are very happy with Tony's service and would refer him to anyone that needs his services. Very professional and gets the job done at a reasonable price.
As a first time Thumbtack customer; I must say " Finishers Repair and Consulting did an OUTSTANDING job!!! Mr Jobert was very professional and knowledgeable with every question I asked and believe me I asked questions. I was highly impressed with the quality of tile he suggested and it helped that he saved me money on materials. My Family room and kitchen looks like it can be in a Home Depot catalog! I will be definitely be using Finishers Repair and Consulting for my Bathroom Reno in January!
Jhon/Esteban-was all of the above..on time and got the work done as desired. I would hire him again for other project. tks.
Jose is a great plumber, handyman.
Stacey was fast and reliable. He is knowledgeable about many aspects of construction/remodeling, which meant there were no problems doing a job in which various skills need to blend. Mine was a two-day job, and Stacey didn't need to ask me to solve a problem for him. He solved them. The final price was consistent with the quote, and was a fair price.
Work - Carpet Installation with repeat patterns in a theater room with a big step. They did the job perfectly!
I am remodeling my master bedroom. Juan Carlos and his partner, Carlos completed the job with all my requirements and requests. They removed an entire mirrored wall, removed a wall to wall soffit, moved outlets, moved can lights, created a large black frame around my closet doors and sliding doors, painted one wall gray and the other walls and ceilings white. They were professional, courteous, very committed to doing a first class job. That also included questions about the dimensions of the headboard ( ordered, but not here yet), and night stands so he could position the lights correctly. They were always on time, worked all day and finished the job exactly on time. I plan on having them do additional remodeling in my home. So glad I used Thimbtack and Five Star Finishes.
I hired Joe & team from KJ Marble & Tile in November 2017 to remodel a bathroom in our Boca Raton home. My decision to hire them was based on their many positive reviews. It was the absolute best choice because Joe’s team exceeded my expectations. The job consisted of demolition, installation of new floating cabinet vanity, dual sinks, quartz countertops, high end designer floor, shower surround and wall tile, shower niche & splashguard, structural ceiling change, plumbing fixtures, drywall repair, skim coat, painting, electrical outlets and recessed lighting. Joe managed the oversight of the project and kept me informed of progress daily, which I appreciated the most since I work in Fort Lauderdale and relied on his leadership and trusted his judgement from afar. Everything went smoothly and on schedule according to plan with exception of two minor touch ups required on the vanity handles and wall paint which were resolved immediately. Communication and trust are key in hiring a contractor to perform work in your home, and by my experience with KJ Marble & Tile I recommend them to anyone considering remodeling work and plan to hire them for my next project.
Very professional contractors. I had them remodel my master bathroom it came beautiful, and was completed very fast. Pleasure to work with, very polite gentlemen. Work was very clean and Clean up was immaculate. They offered suggestions to make my bathroom more functional and modern. Was so pleased with their work I'm also hiring them back to redo my kitchen countertops, they had some great suggestions to help improve the look of my kitchen. Definitely recommend them for home improvements.
Danilo is great. His work is a labor of love for him and it shows. He is honest and trustworthy and I highly recommend him.
MVM is a licensed contractor.but they aren't the ones doing the work. It's a front for them to allow another company, Olaf Commercial Service to use their licensed status in order to portray themselves as licensed. The person who responded to my quote request through Thumbtack was Miquel. He portrayed we was a rep of MVM and presented a contract from MVM. However, The first time I had to make a payment Miguel asked that I make the check payable to his drywall company, Olaf commercial. We agreed on a price for my entire project which included gutting and reframing a bathroom and gutting a kitchen and installing cabinets. He asked for a $1200 down payment upon signing the contract with MVM. After he finished removing popcorn ceiling, he asked for more money. He kept pressuring me for more money. To date, I have paid him $6000.00 and all he has done is removed the popcorn in my living room and replaced a 72x80 area of a wall with wood pieces I had. The last straw came this week when he asked for more money when I gave him an additional $1500 on the day he had been last to me house. On this day, all he did was move furniture and install a ceiling fan. For having received $6000 in advance of doing the most major work (which has yet to be done), it felt like I was being given the shake down. These people are a fraud. They want money and more money without having done the work. I have so much renovation going on at my house that I did not have the energy to fight Miguel over money. He took advantage. He had not finished removing the popcorn in my ceiling and hallway when I left tuesday of this week. Today I hired another contractor who finished the ceiling work in the common areas for $600. I only wish I had found them first before I relied on Thumbtack to refer a reputable company. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE.
I hired Rapid Construction for a fix and flip project in Pembroke Pines. They were able to help me create a selling advantage without spending a fortune. They handled all the permitting and design process for me. I was happy with their turnaround time and pricing. I would reccomend them to any investor or homeowner.
Bill the contractor is very good at what he does. Some of the members of his crew are a little challenging. Bill did another job for me after the bathroom and it turned out very good. Bill is responsible and receptive to feedback. He stands behind his work, and returns to correct minor details. The price was not the highest, nor the lowest. I selected him based on personality, years of experience and zero complaints in the Florida contractors check up website.
Ken did a fabulous job on our kitchen expansion and new cabinets. We were remodeling our home and Ken got the job done in a timely fashion with a great attitude and professionalism.
I cannot say enough in appreciation of how LPBI Construction and Ashley Boe have helped my total renovation. After going through 3 "handymen" and 2 licensed contractors and over a year of lost time and money, I had lost faith that there was a professional with knowledge, integrity and at a reasonable price. Ashley was punctual, well organized and totally professional. He gave me a price and a time frame and met both. He was always available for my phone calls if I had questions and used his knowledge and professional opinion on things I had to decide on. I highly recommend LPBI and Ashley Boe to anyone looking to do work on a property. I will also use him again on other projects.
Five Construction build a detached, oversized, 3 car garage for me. (actually a 2 car garage with a work-shop/man-cave). It included a bathroom and shower, and was designed with exterior features (such as dormers) to match my house perfectly. The building is extremely well built, with important details such as block and tie-beam gables (Normally GC's will make these plywood and stucco). The build went exceptionally well. I have contracted several other buildings in the past, and this experience was by far the best. They work closely with the homeowner to reduce costs where possible, while delivering a high quality building. My build is more of a shop, and is built to be rugged. Nothing fancy. I wanted it that way because.... well... it's a shop. (also wanted to contain costs). It does have a fully finished and drywall interior throughout, insulated attic with ladder access, great/solid window and door work, and the bathroom is actually pretty nice with the tile work. I have seen other Five Construction projects that were beautiful, elegant, and very fancy. The team can do a wide range of project types from the utilitarian (like mine), to the elaborate. The number 1 thing I most appreciated from Five Construction is the Integrity, communications, and service I received. Like any custom build, surprises happen, issues arise, changes, updates and modifications... all are to be expected. In the case of Five Construction, when something popped up, the owner of the business was right on top of it, getting it right, and getting it done. In fact, Mr. Tiedeman (the owner) performed constant quality checks and walkthroughs of his team and/or subs. The work site was kept very neat and free of debris throughout the build. This is in fact pretty rare in the GC business. Normally, the homeowner is constantly tugging the sleeve of the GC to correct issues, clean up the site, or make changes... and wondering if they will ever return a phone call. Absolutely not the case with these folks. They were always in communication and gave clear status reports on schedule, inspections, Subs, and any pop-ups. Just excellent all the way around. This General Contractor is a veteran of the US NAVY, and consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure you receive exceptional value, and quality, at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them for your build/renovation project.
Luis from Conquer builders did an outstanding job renovating two 2 bed 2 bath apartments and two one bedroom apartments. They took care of drawings, permits and made sure everything was done correctly. New floors, knocked down walls for new open plan kitchen, and new bathrooms. Plus a ton of fixes, new plasterwork, fixed some problems with the roof, you name it he can take care of it. I am continuing to work with him and have referred him to many people. Highly recommended.
