I finally have a fully functional front door thanks to Sidd at Honey Dew Home Improvement! Funds have been extremely tight for me and I cannot afford to replace the entire door and jamb right now or even this month. All the other handymen that I contacted wanted to replace the entire door and charge me hundreds of dollars and would not even offer to make the repairs that I knew could be made. Sidd understood my situation and came out the same day and fixed my door for $150! He even fixed my gate latch as he was leaving and didn’t charge me a dime. Sidd does excellent, quality work, is honest and won’t overcharge you. I have lots of projects that I’m going to hire him for in the future. I highly recommend Sidd.

I hired Rufus & Sons (Antwan & his dad Rufus) to replace a front door. It was a lot of work as it required removing the old glass door with sidelights and making the opening larger to accommodate a larger double French door. Their initial quote on thumbtack was very low so I had Antwan come take a look at the actual job and work required. We discussed everything in detail and he came up with a more accurate and fair price. It was double what was quoted on thumbtack but more in line what it should be. This was not a simple removal of old door and putting the new one in. I would always suggest having the pro come and look at the job even if they send a quote directly from thumbtack. Antwan & Rufus were very nice and overall I am happy with the install. After the old door was removed Antwan informed me that there was more work required than he had quoted for and the price would be more. Again the complete job did also require some stucco and tile repair. However I would have hoped all of this was taken into consideration before quoting the job as the final price was more than I expected. Again the price was fair and probably what most professionals would have charged. I would hire them again but would make sure there are no extra charges from what was quoted.

Originally, we hired him to replace our old doors 🚪, which he took so much care to do properly, drilling the slabs for new handles & matching for the old hinges.
Then, we talked to him about possibly building a porch (in a form of a pergola) for us, and he took the initiative to calculate the exact amount of materials we would need, and priced it for us very reasonably. In just a couple of days, Andrew and his coworker, Jim, picked up the materials and built our medium-sized deck IN JUST ONE DAY!!! I was in disbelief! Not only was it so fast, fairly-priced, but also meticulously built! We couldn’t be happier with his delivery of the promised product/services and would recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable worker and a wonderful person! Many thanks, Andrew & Jim!
