Within the first lesson Barrett had me hitting my irons more consistently. He knows exactly what little corrections I needed to make to get my swing looking and performing better. For the second lesson we kept improving skills and the fundamentals and my golf swings are looking much better. He’s a great instructor, listens to your concerns, and curtails each lesson through those concerns. Also Golf Academy provides great resources like the golf simulator and Barrett sends me videos of my swing with commentary to help me review.

Barrett was great to work with. He was very positive in his feedback during the course of the lesson. His points of emphasis were well thought-out. I'm really pleased with the concrete items that Barrett identified specific to my swing for me to work on. I would recommend Barrett to anyone needing to improve their golf game. One other really important thing to mention is that for any person just starting the game of golf, get lessons from a pro like Barrett. Learn golf the right way from the beginning. In the long run, it will save you from years of golfing frustration.

I took a chance on using Thumbtack to look for golf lessons. It turned out to be the best thing I’ve done in over three years for my game. I’d been struggling with my irons and putter for a while and was getting frustrated. After my first one-hour session with Barrett I knew exactly what was happening, was able to correct it with his guidance, and shaved off nearly ten strokes off my gross scores the very next day! I took a lesson with Barrett, and it was amazing! We worked on my back swing, chipping and putting. The lesson had great structure and implementing his critiques felt natural. Will be back and do recommend!
