Kelly and Rob did a fine job renovating a small bathroom for me recently. They replaced the floor tile, the toilet, fixtures in the tub, and most importantly, turned the his-and-hers sink (which was just too much for a secondary bathroom) into a sink for one with marble countertops and a really nice custom cabinet with tower. Most of the work was done in a timely fashion, although we had to wait quite a while for the cabinets, as they were crafted by an outside carpenter. Also, the same carpenter put the wrong handles on the cabinets and getting him to come back to replace them (with Kelly being the middle-man) took too long.
Being a two-man operation (with the occasional specialty worker brought in as needed) had its pros and cons, in my opinion. It was good because I knew exactly who was coming to do the work and didnt have a revolving door of random workers in my house every day. This allowed me to feel comfortable enough to give them a house key so they could come in and finish tasks while I was out. The downside, however, is that because its only the two of them, getting in touch can be a little challenging, especially if theyre working simultaneously on another job. So communication could definitely be improved, but as far as the work goes, Im pleased with the results.
