- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each voice lesson is one hour in length and the fee is $80/hr.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process for working with a new student is identify each person's uniqueness and aspirations. The first lesson is important to create transparency and assess if the students likes me and if i like the student. We spend time talking about previous vocal experiences. I ask them to prepare two (2) song selections: 1) acapella and 1) with accompaniment tracks on their phone. This way I can hear them singing and determine a vocal plan of action to accomplish each student's performance goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a professional singer currently performing in metro Atlanta, along the east coast of the US as well as internationally. I have my own band (The Myrna Clayton Experience) and I am a singer for hire. My band and I were selected by the US State Dept. to perform at US Embassies worldwide to represent American music abroad. I have been singing since the age of 5. I have performed in Gospel choirs, ensembles, corporate bands, and big bands. I have an MBA with corporate Marketing experience and shifted careers to sing professionally in 2002. The business of music is as important to me as the performance of music.
