I had five or six quotes from moving companies on thumbtack. One did a bait and switch, one had mixed reviews and some were lower than Faith Moving Co. I am so glad I went with Faith Moving - they were extremely responsive, let me pick my moving time (instead of giving you a range like other companies do), did great work for my small move just a few blocks over, and were EXTREMELY affordable/reasonable. I would definitely hire them back. I'm also going to give them a review on NextDoor as well. If you have several quotes, go with Faith! The price listed is the price you will pay :)

This was my first time using movers so I wanted to find someone cheap but not too cheap. First off, I was told that the movers would come at 8:30 am (I had to be out of my current house by 12 pm). Around 9:30 I get a call saying that the truck has broken down. They didn't come until 11:30 am. Then it took them 5 hours to move a enough furniture for a 2 bed 2 bath apartment. When we got there. A couple boxes marked fragile had all the contents broken. I will say that the men were friendly and courteous, and I received a small discount for my inconvenience. I will not use this moving company again because they seemed to unreliable and took much longer than quoted.

Started out disorganized when the owner called me and was under the assumption that I was an existing client. After explaining I was not who he assumed I was everything seemed fine until I attempted to extend our move out date to Monday instead of Sunday. I got no response. No communication, nothing. Our original move out date came and went, then Ty called me and blamed me for texting him. Stating he had too many people calling and texting, even tho his office manager returned my text and said she would have him call me. He acted like it was brand new information when I’m sure she communicated that to him. We were at a loss and had to scramble to get our move done in order to be settled in our new home by thanksgiving. I’m pregnant with a small child and thought I was hiring a reputable and reliable moving company. The lack of communication from Ty made the moving process even more stressful than it had to be. Erica was great, responding to me on her day off. But I will never recommend this company to anybody.

First off let me start off with the ONE positive thing that happened with my move regarding 404 Movers-My stuff was moved from my apartment to my new home in two hours. My new home is 25 minutes away from the old apartment so considering the travel time this was good time, however unfortunately this was the ONLY positive thing I can say about this company. The initial scheduling of the movers was easy as they have an online site where you can pick the date and time of your choosing. I scheduled the movers to arrive at 8:30 am on a Saturday. On the day that I scheduled the move, I received a text stating that the 8:30 am time was not available and asked if I would take a 1:30 arrival time. This was going to put me way off schedule however being that this company received a lot of good reviews, I decided to take a chance and accept the 1:30 arrival time. That same day a rep called from the company wanting to know the specifics of what I was trying to move, which wasn't much as I threw a lot of my old furniture away, so I literally had 2 couches and about 40 boxes. The rep then confirmed an arrival time of 2:30. I explained that I had just received a text stating the arrival time would be 1:30. I was then told by the rep "that's not what I have on my paperwork". With a bad feeling in my gut, I accepted the new arrival time of 2:30 and prayed that the movers would show up at 2:30 and get me moved. On the day of the move I received a call from "Mike" from 404 Movers at 1:51 p.m. confirming the move and stating the movers would be there "within the hour". This would take me past the 2:30 arrival time but I just said okay and patiently waited for the movers to arrive. At 3:30 the movers had not arrived and I called Mike back to ask for the ETA. He stated that the movers had gotten held up at their last job but they should get to me shortly. At about 4:30 p.m. I received a call from one of the movers and he stated that he "didn't know when he would get to me." I then called Mike back and asked what was going on. He then went into a long spiel how it wasn't his movers fault that they had gotten held up at their last job but that he would "make it worth my while" and indicated that I would get a discount in my final price. My husband wanted to cancel the job altogether but we were in a tough spot as we would have had to reserve a hotel for the night. I decided to go ahead and wait for the movers. I received a call about 6:30 from one of the movers asking"Ya'll still moving?" By this time steam is coming from my ears!!!! I had wasted an ENTIRE day waiting for these guys. YES I AM STILL MOVING!!!! The movers eventually showed up at 7:30 pm. I will say the guys were efficient and quick, but I didn't get moved to my new house until 9:30 P.M. that evening. To make matters worse I was ridiculed about the gratuity I gave(they are lucky I gave them $100.00) from one of the movers (I had a relatively small load and they were over 5 hours late!!!) AND I didn't receive the "discount" that Mike promised. I tried to call Mike multiple times the day of the move but after 4:00 he stopped accepting my calls and NEVER called me back. This is unacceptable customer service from a company that charged near $300.00 for the move + the $100.00 in gratuity that I paid to move 2 couches and some boxes. I had: NO BEDS, NO TVS, NO APPLIANCES. No stairs at the apartment, one small flight of stairs in new home. This was essentially an EASY move. Needless to say, if you value your time, money and want to be treated with decency and respect, don't choose this company!!!

I DO NOT recommend using this company! See my reason why....They took 7 hours and charged me $760.00 to move essentially what equates to a 1 bedroom apartment. He pushed me using 3 movers and I informed him of everything that needed to be moved and 2 movers could handle it. He agreed. He called me 2 hours prior to their scheduled time to inform me they will be 30 minutes late although they were reserved 2 weeks in advance (more than enough time for them to prepare). The owner showed up with an older man about 60 or 70 in age to assist him to move my items. Really!? They did not move ANY appliances...ie... washing machines, refrigerators, stoves, etc... They did not move ANY dressers, televisions, electronics, hot tubs, kitchen table, etc...They ONLY moved 1 King size bed, 1 loveseat, 1 couch, 1 chaise, 1 bookcase and about 15 small boxes with dishes and 8 clothing bags and 2 bags of shoes. They had an elevator that lead to a loading dock, giving them close access to their truck. Everything was packed in advance and what small items such as tools and glassware was packed, by me, while they transported the other boxes to their truck. They did not have to break the 1 bed down, everything was separated and organized for them to easily reach. I asked him after 3 and half hours why the move was taking so long and he stated my long hallway was the issue...I told him they were moving soooo slow. I believe it was on purpose. Unacceptable!! He agreed there was that much stuff to move...yes a one bedroom worth of things...he stated my hallway was long...I informed him the hallway. I stated the hallway was an average hallway and he doesn't have to take stairs. I've used 3 other moving companies I for previous moves and found them on this site and they have moved much larger homes (1-2 story 3 bedroom house, 1-3 story townhome and 1 from storage to a 2 bedroom apartment, 4th floor) and each took 3 hours on the lower end and 4 and half hours on the high end) They were all professional and worked in a timely manner. I didn't use them this time because of our schedule conflict---I stated all this to the mover during the move, prior to the drop off and once they unloaded. I stated I gave him the business, because he seemed professional during my initial interview, he understood the job at hand and they were local. I will not use them ever again. In my opinion, there are too many other moving companies that have been in business longer and understand time is money and it is essential to bring able bodies to move and be professional, on time, pack items timely, neatly and safely in a timely manner. We worked with Michael for our move from an apt. and storage unit into our new house. Michael was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. We had three guys, Ryan Gabriel and (I can't recall the 3rd, so sorry) but they were all great, very professional and worked hard. Their pricing was competitive with other companies on thumbtack but much more reasonable than bigger moving companies in the area. Michael and his team won out due to his great customer service and quick response time. There was a small miscalculation with our bill and we over paid. Michael again responded quickly to address our concerns and hand delivered a refund check to us. I can’t say enough of the customer service and the work his team did. It was a long day but I’m very happy with our choice to use Next Door Relocators and would highly recommend them.

I WOULD NOT recommend. If I could give negative stars, I would. First, the truck was too small after I told him I had a 2 bedroom to move. Second, the movers did not get my things separated as some things were going into a storage unit and others to a house. Third, they just threw things in my storage unit. I had to pay a company to straighten their mess. They broke my sleeper sofa and made holes in my desk leaving it unusable. So of course, I had to pay for furniture removal. When I reached out to Jasean to discuss the sofa and desk, of course, you response. I know he has a lot of great reviews but he did wrong by me. Do NOT use this guy.

If I could give them 0 stars , I would . They were very unprofessional, they ruined my furniture , their movers were not experienced, & they were dishonest . They showed up hours later past the agreed upon window . Do not hire them. They are not experienced and the manager was very rude to me when I expressed my frustrations .This was by far the worst moving experience that I ever had . I looked at their reviews online and I thought that I was picking a good company to get the job done . Apparently , they create different email addresses and write their own reviews . They take random photos of their clients furniture when they move them then they use photos and their own fake reviews . - They broke my patio set - They damaged my expensive couch - They completely tore my bed frame up - They broke my vase & my glass desk I hired them to move and pack my small two bedroom apartment. When they came to my house they didn’t pack ANYTHING so my fiancé and I ended up having to pack everything while they moved the boxes that we already had packed prior to them arriving . We were packaging as they were moving when we hired them to do both jobs . It took them two days and almost 7 hours to do a 3-4 hour small job ! Then when they arrived to my storage unit they just threw my expensive furniture , TVs , etc In there unprotected with no furniture wrap even though they said that they would wrap it . I was sick the entire time . I was downstairs with the truck while they packed it inside . I went upstairs to find that they just tossed everything in there . This is not a professional company ! They just hire random people with no background check to do the job ! Unless you want to deal with unprofessional movers that damage your things and can’t be trusted in your home . DO NOT HIRE THEM ! THEY ARE A SCAM! They charged me twice. I had to file a dispute. Luckily , the bank saw the proof and refunded me the second payment that charged me .

I needed to move quickly and only had a few things (about 25 boxes, no furniture) to move from one location to another 20 miles away. The movers were wonderful and showed up early. Even though it took them 30 minutes to pack, it took another 2 hours for them to get to me (20 miles away) due to a faulty rear truck door. Unfortunately, the back door was literally falling apart and they had to take time 1.5 hours to rigged the door so the furniture would not fall out. I appreciated the extra effort and wish I had known before I hired them that the main piece of equipment needed to do the move (a truck with a working door) was in need of repair. When they arrived the move was pretty seamless although I had to cancel an appointment due to the delay. During the move the glass top to my desk broke. They admitted it and I was happy they did not attempt to hide it. VERY professional. I tipped them and thanked them both. I called the owner the next day to talk about how I would be compensated for the broken glass. He assured me he would send someone out--the next day-- to take measurements and he would pay for the replacement. Well, I'm still waiting 2 days later AND the owner, Terrance is not answering the phone nor is he returning phone calls. I considered taking it to small claims court, it's not worth it and won't correct the character issue here. KEEP YOUR WORD if you give it or at least say when you won't keep your word. I REALLY wanted to support a black-owned company and turned down others to go with this one. So SORRY I DID. Professionalism should be top-down and down up. The movers Jay and Gabriel were EXCEPTIONAL! The owner, Terrance, has turned out to be a huge disappointment. Sometimes it's best to pay more money to get exceptional service all the way around. AVOID this company UNTIL the owner gets his act together and repairs his equipment so the movers can operate safely. This is offered as constructive feedback and I hope it helps the owner and the consumers looking for great service.

I could write a novel but I'll keep it short. (1) They wee given a 2-hr window for arrival but showed up 45min afterwards. I was quoted for 3-5hrs as that was the time estimate. I paid for 5.5 as that is how long it took but I had to fight with someone over the phone as they tried to get me to pay more as they couldn't understand basic math. I won that in the end. (2) the first thing the head mover said to me besides his name was asking whether or not I was going to tip or not. Extremely unprofessional. (3) They dropped a small, light box labeled fragile. They wouldn't pay for the broken crystal because they didn't pack it. This seems to be a standard moving company rule but I can still be upset they dropped a light box labeled fragile. I should've taken that one myself. (4) they scratched up walls, stairs, etc... and tried to hide some of them. Within their system, these are labeled due to the reason of "furniture not measured" as if it was my job to measure my furniture before hiring them. They never mentioned that. I was also told I would receive a call from claims dept multiple times. I followed up by call and text. I was even called once accidentally and he told me he was going to call me right back. He didn't. I warned I was giving bad reviews on multiple sites but still no response. Good news: they're not terribly expensive and they have professional moving equipment so all of our stuff made it from point A to point B.
