Keith has been an excellent teacher so far! I have been studying guitar with him for about 2 months, and I intend to continue my lessons. (For context, I'm somewhat new to the guitar, but I've been playing classical music most of my life, so we were able to move quickly through basics such as staff notation, major and minor scales, and intervals.) What I like most about Keith is that he builds up your knowledge in a logical way, particularly from a theory perspective. My previous teachers have just asked me what songs I want to learn, and then they've taught me how to play those songs. Which might be fine if you're not really looking to understand the music you're playing. By contrast, Keith's method of instruction is focused on understanding the music, with the eventual goal of being creative with the guitar. His philosophy is that proficiency on an instrument is strongly tied to improvisational ability, and building that ability is his goal with his students. He ties theoretical concepts to the instrument itself - things like scale patterns and chord shapes are taught within the context of theory. I'm learning to play a couple of songs, but we're also analyzing those songs to learn why they sound how they sound and why they make sense (even when, theoretically, it seems like they shouldn't). Each lesson, I'll learn a little bit more about the structure and progression of the songs. Keith is incredibly knowledgeable about music and can talk extensively about music from seemingly any era, from classical all the way up through contemporary popular music. His style of teaching is fairly laid-back (which I like), but there is an implicit expectation that you should be practicing at home and internalizing what he's teaching you (which I also like). Not to mention, he's surprisingly affordable, which is a huge plus. I'd recommend Keith to anyone interested in learning guitar the right way.
I took my first guitar lessons ever with Ryan, and he was an awesome teacher. He was patient with me and taught me all the basics with lots of helpful tips and advice. Ryan is a friendly teacher and willing to work with you on whatever you want to improve or learn about guitar!
What a great experience my son has had since starting guitar lessons at Lawrenceville-Suwanee School of Music. The staff could not be nicer or more professional. The teachers are all highly experienced, and you can just tell that they love what they do. They make the children, and the parents, feel like family. I wouldn't take my child any place else, and I would highly recommend this music school to anyone - great place!
My son has been taking lessons from Tyson for 6 years!!! Obviously we are pleased with his approach to teaching guitar. He LOVES guitar completely due to Tyson’s passion for guitar and his ability to teach it so well!
Chris is a one of a kind guitar instructor. He is personable and dedicated to teaching music. I have learned more from him in a short amount of time than I have from previous instructors. He understands that each individual learns differently and he creates a program for every student. Working/Playing music with him has given me more motivation to play more at home (I work 50+ hours a week) than any other instructor has ever given me. I would highly recommend Mr.Silver and I am looking forward to continuing my lessons with him.
Dr. David was a great teacher, even when I wasn't advanced enough to see it. He was very Socratic in method, giving me the information I needed, then leading me to my own conclusions. I emerged both a very unique guitar player and an accurate critic of classical guitar playing in numerous genres. Beyond technical matters, David works with the student's ear, etiquette, sensibility to era and composer, and compositional interests. I would recommend any serious student to Dr. David Mitchell and hope I have another chance to study under him one day.
I've been taking bass lessons from Jim Coley close to three years now and the experience has been nothing short of amazing. I came into it knowing absolutely nothing about bass with the exception of knowing I wanted to play. I didn't even know the note names of each open string! I'm still learning and have much to learn but I couldn't have picked a better teacher. He's patient, supportive, encourging and experienced. I came in aiming to be as well rounded as I could be and he has covered so much ground with me in a diverse curriculum spanning every genere possible. He is also more than willing to teach you songs by your favorite bands or artists. He goes above and beyond every time and has been flexible with me at every turn. Its more than worth your time and is one of the most valuable insvestments I have made since moving here. I strongly implore anyone with the desire to learn to take some cash and spend a few minutes with him and see how it goes. You'll be glad you did!
Frank has taught my son guitar lessons for about 3 years. My son enjoys the lesson, and has continually progressed. Frank does a great job communicating with the parents, and has always worked with us on scheduling as well. I highly recommend Frank!
Please do not quote me as giving Mr Tate one star he was prompt, gracious, and professional a great instructor it's just that I was just a bit more advanced as a musician than we both expected.he truly is an asset to other less advanced players (great guy great instructor).
I have always wanted to play the drums. I'm not your average -aged student. Greg has been very patient, and willing to let me go at my pace. Highly recommend him.
My grandson was very excited to meet Bill. He's been looking forward to guitar lessons. His first lesson went really great. My grandson texted me later that night to tell me how much he learned, and how much fun he had.

We offer professional guitar instruction with Charles Newman, a musician and guitarist with 25 plus years of professional experience with an educational emphasis on beginner and intermediate students.
My services are significantly cheaper than most people trying to give lessons and my hours are a lot more flexible than most. In addition, I can teach a variety of stringed instruments and have extensive knowledge on music theory. What makes my job so amazing is the fact that I am doing something that I have passion for. The fact that I can make money doing something that I love give me a lot more motivation to work.
With more than 100,000 lessons taught the award winning Key Music Center offers experience, fun, and results. We are the only teaching studio in Atlanta to offer a free music assessment for children under 15 years old. This allows us to put the student on the best path based on their test results and saves parents money and increases the the students chances of success. "There is a difference between a great musician and a great teacher," explains the studio's music director Bill Realbuto, "and we only hire instructors that are both." Our teachers have a passion for what they do. That inspires the students and makes teaching so much fun.
I offer professional in-home guitar and bass guitar lessons. The guitar or bass guitar lessons are tailored to the student depending on his/her individual interests. I believe all students shall need a comprehensive study of styles and techniques focusing on the musical genres that they are most passionate about. I teach all ages and all skill levels; anyone can learn guitar! The lessons are performed in the comfort of your own home which I believe is the best place to learn, free from distractions and the stress of an office environment.
I eat, sleep, and breathe guitar. I dream about playing the guitar and I have more experience playing guitar and writing songs than anything else in my life. Teaching others to play guitar is a big reward in itself. Learning to play music makes you more intelligent and I would like to see a world with more intelligence.
I am not just trying to get a paycheck. I have a genuine interest in every student I have ever taught. I want them to progress and to grow an appreciation for the instrument. I look at each student's progress as a reflection of my ability as a teacher.
There is a difference between a great musician and a great teacher, explains the studios music director Bill Realbuto, and we only hire instructors that are both. We offer a unique blend of traditional teaching methods with modern techniques. Our curriculum is designed to be fun and inspiring. With a menu of classes, recitals, and workshops to chose from, students can have a complete musical experience. It's great to offer students more than just a weekly lesson but give them a place to meet other musicians and be a part of something fun. We create an artistic environment and experience that inspires students and helps them apply the skills they learn in their weekly lessons.
