Adam H. says, "Never stop working was true to their name. These guys know fences and posts. I sent them pictures of my fallen fence gate and old rotten area that connected to my house from my neighbors fence. Gate blew down in the wind. Post snapped due to moisture. In one day, they came in and dug out the old concrete from the post and replaced the post with a 6x6 better posts and custom built on site a double door barn style solution based only on a picture I sent them my wife found online. They did it just as close to the picture as I could ask for. They also worked with me during the project to deal with yard Slant issue I had. I was very pleased with the outcome and it seems sturdy and well built. These hard-working guys did the job for me in one day at the quality I expected that the price I expected which was a good value and did it the next day after I asked them-can’t beat that service."See more

FAQs

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How do you paint a concrete patio?

To paint a concrete patio or porch, decide what type of paint you should use. For example, you might want to consider epoxy-based paint for stain resistance and durability. Then, you’ll need to clean and prep the area, fix any cracks and holes, apply a primer and apply two coats of paint.

To ensure the job is done correctly, hire a concrete painter near you.

How much does a concrete patio cost?

On average, a concrete patio costs about $2,500-$7,000. The cost to install a concrete patio will vary depending on the size, the finish, whether you want it stamped and many other factors. That’s why you should always get a few cost estimates from professionals when planning this project.

What is the best sealer to use on concrete?

Because unsealed concrete is porous, it readily absorbs liquids, leading to unsightly stains and freeze-and-thaw cycle damage. For this reason, it’s important to seal concrete that will see spills or outdoor weather.

The best option for garage floors and other high-traffic areas is epoxy, which forms a hard and extremely durable surface on top of concrete. Epoxy, acrylic, and polishes are often used on indoor floors, while acrylic-resin sealers and reactive penetrating sealers are used on outdoor surfaces to repel water and salt. Locate a concrete contractor in your area to help find the best solution.

How thick should a concrete patio be?

Generally, a concrete patio is 4-8 inches thick. Your concrete contractor or patio builder should be able to determine how thick your patio should be.

How do you fix cracks in a concrete patio?

To fix the crack and holes in your concrete patio, you can apply a concrete repair mix or concrete crack filler. However, for more severe cracks, consider hiring a concrete repair contractor. They have the skills and experience to fill your cracks and holes, ensuring your concrete patio will last as long as possible.
