- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At the current time, I accept Venmo and Zelle. If your situation is compromised due to COVID-19, we can discuss discounts to keep you learning during this crisis!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Students get experience with note reading, light theory such as counting basics and half steps/whole steps, and the basics of expression. The Wheel of Knowledge piano educational series is used for this, because it provides a complete foundation, ample opportunities for site-reading and review, and is presented in sections with clear learning objectives. At the same time, students apply their learning to music that challenges them, and they develop a repertoire of songs they can play for themselves and others! For advanced students who are confident with the basics and ready to move on from the Wheel of Knowledge, they are given individual learning plans in theory and/or repertoire to help them reach their piano goals. For very young learners, they are given individual learning plans and songs designed just for them 💕
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My most important education comes from over 20 years of life experience teaching students around the world! This life-education is supplemented by a four year degree in music education and classical piano performance, and a masters degree in curriculum and instruction.
