Adrian was recommended to me by one of my co-workers. I am extremely fortunate to have met such a hard-worker. He was early for our appointment and gave me the best price compared to other lawn services. Adrian exceeded my expectations and provided several services I am very thankful for. My lawn looks amazing, I'm almost speechless. I instantly recommended him to my friends and parents and hope you get a chance to meet such a great man. It's been such an honor to work with him.

The grass was overgrown because it was unattended for over two months (right during springtime). She did a great job and was responsive with my texts. She even got rid of a few garden snakes (including a copperhead) - thank you very much!!

Aaron came the same day I chose him, to provide an estimate on the work that I needed done. He was very polite and gave me a reasonable rate for my large, wildly overgrown lawn. I explained that, in the past I'd had some bad experiences with lawn services chopping down things that I didn't want cut and ignoring other areas that I asked to be cut down. He listened and did the work exactly as I asked. He and his partner came the very next morning and whipped everything into great shape! I'm very happy with the work that they did and would definitely recommend Leafy Lawns!

We had a great experience with the Hershey company. He was on time and got everything done super fast and it looks great. We will be using him this season for all our outdoor lawn/garden needs. He is very reasonable on pricing and has a great positive attitude and demeanor. I would highly suggest this company for somebody who is looking for a good lawn care company that doesn’t want you to sign a contract and charge you $200+ a month.

I can't say enough good things about the quality of this company and the owners. This is the third time I've used called them a job and I look forward to working with them in the future. This time Cole did a spring clean-up: weeded the garden beds, fertilized (all this using organics), pruned, repositioned the trellis, leveled all large pots, and put a heavy layer of mulch around. The garden looks incredible, walking and sitting out there is a calming, peaceful experience. I find myself smiling everywhere I look. Cole is responsible, caring, and has a great artistic eye. It's easy to tell he loves his work. I can't recommend Organiculture highly enough.

Chef Soul it was an honor to meet you and discuss beneficial health solutions. At first I was a little skeptical due to the one review on your profile page and being offered a cooking video of the meal prepared. Chef Soul would love to admit to you I stand corrected would love for you to be able to do many more of my catered events and being a guru/mentor for helping me revitalize my health. My smile is brighter my love for myself is a lot higher. My self-esteem for my vision of my future career and passion I have to thank you for the positive energy offered from conversation with you Chef. Thank you for being able to understand my point of view for the love I had for foods that were bringing me pain. Thank you for showing me the before and after process of your love for food as well. The transition you made to stay on healthy track with your meals is awesome. I thank you for the care package you mailed to me everything was intact in the box and nothing was missing. It was everything you described I love the art you added in the process as well. My favorite has to be the cashew milk none of the same additives found in milk but the health benefits I always imagined in my cereal. You’re an amazing soul chef and Happy person. Pray in time your garden and farm can be able to feed people all over the world. HAPPINESS RULES

Heather and her crew are extremely knowledgeable about plants. They did an outstanding job cleaning up and arranging my elderly mother's home gardens, which had grown out of control. The crew works diligently and her pricing is very reasonable. My mother is very happy with the results.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to have landscaping done?

Professional landscaping can help reinvent your outdoor space, boost your curb appeal and get a major return on investment with. Landscaping can encompass anything from adding new plants, trees and shrubs, to leveling the ground and laying sod for a lawn, to building in hardscaping such as sidewalks, water features or retaining walls. The national average landscaping price is $10,160. Landscaping prices can be far lower (with hourly rates ranging from $50 to $150) if you’re only seeking professional help with softscaping or seeking consultation on landscape design. Softscaping means adding or changing horticultural elements, such as planting a garden or adding a hedge. Hardscaping is where costs can really start to rise. Hardscaping requires labor and heavy equipment to excavate the earth; you may need to pour concrete, or you may need a pro who can transport and place gravel and other inorganic elements. Your total landscaping cost will vary based on the amount of work you want done, how much labor is required, and the cost of the materials you are using. A good rule of thumb for a major landscaping project, according to the American Society of Landscape Architects, is to budget 5 percent to 10 percent of the value of your home.

How much does it cost to landscape your front yard?

Prices for landscaping your front yard can range from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands of dollars, depending on the scale of your front yard project. Your landscaping price will reflect how much change you implement, how much labor is required, and the cost of materials.

Landscaping is typically made up of softscaping and hardscaping. Softscaping refers to selecting trees, bushes, flowers and plants to achieve a desired aesthetic and to meet goals such as having a drought-tolerant yard. Hardscaping refers to moving earth, installing structures, and putting in decorative stonework, sidewalks or lighting. For softscaping, you may want to hire a landscape designer to consult on your plants and layout, and then do the digging and planting yourself or hire a gardner to handle the heavy lifting. A landscape designer’s hourly rate may range from $50 to $150 or more. If you want a turnkey approach, meaning someone who works with you to create the vision and then executes all the work, landscaping pricing will typically come down to a cost per square foot rather than an hourly rate. It’s a solid investment: Great landscaping can add up to 28 percent value to your home.
